- 2. Description of the Prior Arts
- Busy life with accumulating stress causes modern people to suffer sleep disorders. In order to promote sleep quality, the sleeping bedding has been gradually valued, including mattress, covers and pillows. Take pillow for example, generally a pillow includes a pillowcase, which is filled with cotton pillow inner, provides better comfort but poor support. Therefore, the market further has developed memory pillow or sponge pillow made of memory foam or sponge. They include a body, and the body has two protrudent cambered surfaces, and the two protrudent cambered surfaces separately extend to edges of two opposite sides of the body to form a high cambered protrusion and a low cambered protrusion.
- User could choose to lie on the high cambered protrusion or the low cambered protrusion according to user's need. However, the user would change sleeping position when in sleep. The distance between the neck back and lying surface is small at supine sleeping position; and the distance between the neck back and lying surface is big at lateral sleeping position. If the user lies on the low cambered protrusion at first, the neck and shoulder would be pressed at a harmful angle at lateral sleeping position; and if the user lies on the high cambered protrusion at first, neck muscle tension would be caused by a harmful angle at supine sleeping position. Consequently, the structure of a simple integrated pillow of prior art could not provide appropriate support and comfort to respond to sleeping position variation, and could not be adjusted to an appropriate size according to different figures of users. So the practicability of the pillow of the prior art is limited.
- To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention provides a pillow assembly to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.
- The main objective of the present invention is to provide a pillow assembly to enhance practicability.
- To achieve the objective, the pillow assembly in accordance with the present invention has a body, two lateral sleeping modules and a pillowcase.
- The body includes a supine sleeping area and two lateral sleeping areas, and the supine sleeping area is between the lateral sleeping areas. The two lateral sleeping modules are separately mounted on the lateral sleeping areas of the body. Each lateral sleeping module has at least one lateral sleeping height adjusting unit and a fixed section. The pillowcase covers outside of the body and the lateral sleeping modules.
- Based on the above-mentioned, the pillow assembly could adjust the stacking number of the lateral sleeping height-adjusting units of the lateral sleeping modules according to different figures of users. The user could lie on the supine sleeping area with the lower height at supine sleeping position, and the user could lie on the lateral sleeping area of the lateral sleeping height-adjusting unit with the higher height at lateral position. Even the user turns over in sleep, the pillow assembly could still provide comfort and support for the neck. The pillow assembly could be adjusted and assembled either into the form of a notch, with a left side protrusion, with a right side protrusion, or into a flat form for user's need, and be able to enhance practicability.
