FIGS. 1 to 3 , a securing device for at least one hand tool in accordance with the present invention comprises a first receivingbody 10 and a second receivingbody 10A. - The first
receiving body 10 is substantially the same as the second receivingbody 10A except a size of the second receivingbody 10A is smaller than that of the first receivingbody 10. The first receivingbody 10 is pivotally connected with the second receivingbody 10A. The following description takes the first receivingbody 10 as an example. The first receivingbody 10 has at least oneinserting hole 11, at least onecompartment 20 and at least one insertingslot 22. Preferably, the firstreceiving body 10 has multiple insertingholes 11,multiple compartments 20 andmultiple inserting slots 22. The multiple insertingholes 11 are defined through a top and a bottom of the first receivingbody 10. Themultiple compartments 20 correspond respectively to the multiple insertingholes 11 and are defined through a first side surface and a second side surface of the first receivingbody 10. The second side surface is opposite to the first side surface. Eachcompartment 20 communicates with a correspondinginserting hole 11 and the correspondinginserting hole 11 is defined through an inner top surface and an inner bottom surface of thecompartment 20. Eachcompartment 20 has twopivotal slots 21 respectively defined in two inner side surfaces of thecompartment 20, located at the second side surface of the first receivingbody 10 and communicating with thecompartment 20. The multipleinserting slots 22 are defined in the second side surface of the first receivingbody 10 and correspond respectively to themultiple compartments 20. Eachinserting slot 22 communicates with acorresponding compartment 20 and is parallel to thecorresponding compartment 20. Eachcompartment 20 has anelastomer 30 and apick 40 mounted in thecompartment 20. - Each
elastomer 30 is received and fixed in acorresponding compartment 20. Eachelastomer 30 is a bended sheet including afirst plate 31 and asecond plate 32. Thefirst plate 31 extends into thecorresponding compartment 20 and elastically abuts against thecorresponding pick 40. Thefirst plate 31 is connected with thesecond plate 32 at an acute angle and is elastically pivotable relative to thesecond plate 32. Thesecond plate 32 is received in a correspondinginserting slot 22, which communicates with thecorresponding compartment 20. Thesecond plate 32 has aprotrusion 33 disposed on a bottom surface of thesecond plate 32 for abutting against an inner surface of thecorresponding inserting slot 22 and fixing theelastomer 30 in thecorresponding compartment 20. Preferably, eachelastomer 30 can be replaced with a spring to abut against thepick 40. - Each
pick 40 is mounted from the second side surface of the first receivingbody 10 through acorresponding compartment 20. Eachpick 40 has twowings 42 respectively extending from two opposite sides of thepick 40 and respectively mounted in the twopivotal slots 21 of thecorresponding compartment 20. Eachpick 40 is elastically abutted by acorresponding elastomer 30 and is pivotable at the twowings 42 as a pivot. Eachpick 40 has apick hole 41 defined through a top surface and a bottom surface of thepick 40. Eachpick hole 41 has an inner diameter being equal to or larger than that of a correspondinginserting hole 11. During a pivot movement of eachpick 40, thepick hole 41 in thepick 40 is selectively co-axially aligned with the correspondinginserting hole 11, which is defined through the inner top surface and the inner bottom surface of thecorresponding compartment 20. - Preferably, the first receiving
body 10 has acover 12 mounted on the second side surface of the first receivingbody 10 for closing the ends of themultiple compartments 20 that are located at the second side surface of the first receivingbody 10. Thecover 12 has a hanginghole 13 defined in thecover 12 and provided for a hanging purpose. With reference toFIG. 5 , thesecond receiving body 10A has acover 12A mounted on a second side surface of thesecond receiving body 10A for closing the ends of themultiple compartments 20 that are located at the second side surface of thesecond receiving body 10A. - With reference to
FIG. 3 , ahand tool 50 is inserted into one of the insertingholes 11 and is mounted through thepick hole 41 of acorresponding pick 40. Preferably, thehand tool 50 is an Allen key. When thepick 40 is abutted by the correspondingelastomer 30 and is pivoted upward, thepick hole 41 of thepick 40 is not co-axially aligned with the corresponding insertinghole 11 and is biased to the corresponding insertinghole 11. Thehand tool 50 is clamped between an inner flange of thepick hole 41 and an inner surface of the corresponding insertinghole 11. The correspondingelastomer 30 continuously and elastically abuts against thepick 40 to keep thehand tool 50 clamped between the inner flange of thepick hole 41 and the inner surface of the corresponding insertinghole 11. - With reference to
FIG. 4 , when thepick 40 is pressed down, thewings 42 of thepick 40 are restricted in the two insertingslots 22 of thecorresponding compartment 20 and thepick 40 pivotally compresses the correspondingelastomer 30. Thepick hole 41 of thepick 40 is co-axially aligned with the corresponding insertinghole 11 and a clamping force applied on thehand tool 50 is dismissed, such that thehand tool 50 can be detached from the corresponding insertinghole 11. - With reference to
FIGS. 5 and 6 , eachelastomer 30 provides a resilient force to thecorresponding pick 40. The inner flange of thepick hole 41 in thecorresponding pick 40 and the inner surface of the corresponding insertinghole 11 cooperatively clamp thehand tool 50. Thecorresponding pick hole 41 is aligned with the corresponding insertinghole 11 to form a channel to communicate between thecorresponding pick hole 41 and the corresponding insertinghole 11. If an inner diameter of the channel is larger than or equal to a diameter of thehand tool 50 while thecorresponding pick hole 41 is co-axially aligned with the corresponding insertinghole 11 and the inner diameter of the channel is smaller than the diameter of thehand tool 50 while thecorresponding pick hole 41 is biased to the corresponding insertinghole 11, thehand tool 50 can be securely positioned. In the conventional securing device, the hand tools are detached from the inserting holes when the inserting holes are worn. Even if the insertingholes 11 in accordance with the present invention are worn and loosened, thehand tool 50 can be clamped by the inner surface of thepick hole 41 and the inner surface of the corresponding insertinghole 11. Therefore, the present invention is suitable for any rod-type hand tool 50, such as the Allen key shown inFIG. 5 or the Torx wrench shown inFIG. 6 . - Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
