Abstract
The invention relates to a movable support for the ends of the movable partition walls of swimming pools, which is intended for dividing swimming pools into separate spaces having different sizes in order to carry out different activities and make better use of the space and which basically includes four wheels (1) driven by a mechanism (2) made up of a set of pulleys with idler devices (10) and connected to one another by belts (3), which includes a driving pulley (4) at the top which is connected to a reducing set of pulleys (5, 6) at the bottom, which in turn is connected with corresponding pulleys (8) secured to the shafts (9) of the wheels (1), wherein the set of wheels (1), pulleys (8) and idler devices (10) is installed in a base frame (12) and the driving pulley (4), the reducing set of pulleys (5, 6) and the corresponding idler device (10) are installed in a fairing (14) coupled to the base frame (12).
Description
- As is known, a swimming pool will require specific dimensions according to the intended use. Children swimming pools, for example, have smaller dimensions than adult swimming pools, and competitive swimming pools are even larger.
- Providing several swimming pools with different dimensions represents the need for a large space and a high construction cost.
- To solve this problem, some swimming pools has been provided with a movable wall whereby the pools are divided into two spaces of different measurements. Said wall is movable along the swimming pool and is made up of a bridge arranged transversely and supported at its ends by means of wheels on the side edges of the swimming pool that are provided with the corresponding tracks. Individual spaces for performing different activities can easily be formed with same.
- The wheels tend to operate by means of a motor with manual operating means.
- The object of this invention is to provide movable walls with respective end supports equipped with a simplified, easy-to-operate and efficient mechanism.
- To that end, the mechanism is based on a set of pulleys connected to one another by means of belts, which comprises a driving pulley which is connected to a reducing group of pulleys which is in turn connected to respective pulleys integral with the shafts of the wheels, respective tensioning devices being arranged in the belts for tensioning same.
- The set of wheels with the pulleys and tensioning devices thereof is installed in a base frame, and the driving pulley, the reducing group of pulleys, and the tensioning device thereof are installed in a fairing coupled on said frame.
- These and other features will be better understood from the following detailed description whereby to facilitate same a sheet of drawings is attached in which a practical embodiment indicated only by way of non-limiting example of the scope of the present invention has been depicted.
- In the drawings:
-
FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrate the elevational views of the support object of the invention viewed from the rear part and showing the inside thereof, respectively, -
FIG. 3 shows a top perspective view of the support showing the mechanism, and -
FIG. 4 is a detail of the lower part of the mechanism viewed in perspective. - According to the drawings, the support object of this invention is provided with four aligned wheels (1) which are operated by means of a mechanism (2) which is based on a set of pulleys connected to one another by means of belts (3), which comprises in the upper portion a driving pulley (4) that is connected in the lower portion to a reducing group of pulleys, comprising a pulley having a larger diameter (5) and a puller having a smaller diameter (6) coupled to one and the same shaft (7), which is in turn connected to respective pulleys (8) integral with the shafts (9) of the wheels (1).
- All the belts (3) comprise respective adjustable tensioning devices (10) made up of respective pulleys movable and fixable in corresponding mounting holes (11).
- The set of wheels (1) with the pulleys (8) and tensioning devices (10) thereof is installed in a base frame (12) provided in the upper portion with a trim plate (13), and the driving pulley (4), the reducing group of pulleys (5, 6), and the tensioning device (10) thereof are installed in a fairing (14) coupled on the base frame (12) and formed by detachable covers to have access to the pulley mechanism.
- The invention can be put into practice within its essential features in other embodiments which differ only in detail from the embodiment indicated only by way of example, which embodiments will also achieve the protection sought. Therefore, this movable support for the ends of movable walls of swimming pools may be manufactured in any shape and size, with the most suitable means and materials and with the most convenient accessories, the component elements being able to be replaced with other technically equivalent elements, and this is all comprised within the scope of the claims.
