Abstract

A mesh puff sponge that includes a plurality of wavy mesh pieces and middle, the base mesh sponge is used to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the base mesh sponge on the skin and the wavy mesh pieces are tied together by a string in the middle of the base mesh sponge to form the base mesh sponge. The mesh puff sponge also includes a ribbon with a first end, a second end, a top side, a bottom side and at least one identification indicium, the at least one identification indicium indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge and the string ties the first end and the second end of the ribbon to the middle of the base mesh sponge thereby securing the ribbon to the base mesh sponge.

This application claims priority to U.S. Provisional Application 61/559,123 filed on Nov. 13, 2011, the entire disclosure of which is incorporated by reference.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention is a mesh puff sponge. More specifically, the present invention is a mesh puff sponge with an attached ribbon having at least one identification indicium.
2. Description of the Related Art
A traditional mesh puff sponge can be used to create suds by applying soap to the mesh puff sponge to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the mesh puff sponge on the skin. A traditional mesh puff sponge may utilize a ribbon as a handle instead of a rope or other type of handle or to hang the mesh puff sponge from an object such as a shower head. The ribbon may even have decorative indicia printed on the ribbon for aesthetic purposes. Existing bathing mesh puff sponges may present an inherent problem when they are stored. Multiple mesh puff sponges stored in a single shower or bathtub used by multiple persons make it hard to distinguish between which person owns which mesh puff sponge thereby preventing one person from using another person's mesh puff sponge by mistake. By creating a mesh puff sponge with an attached ribbon having at least one identification indicium, the problem with bathing mesh puff sponge identification is solved.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a mesh puff sponge. More specifically, the present invention is a mesh puff sponge with an attached ribbon having at least one identification indicium.
The mesh puff sponge includes a ribbon having at least one identification indicium such as a nickname, a pronoun, a relative's name or other suitable at least one identification indicium. The mesh puff sponge with an attached ribbon having at least one identification indicium can be used to create suds by applying soap to the mesh puff sponge to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the mesh puff sponge on the skin. The mesh puff sponge can be easily rinsed and stored for reuse by hanging the mesh puff sponge by its ribbon.
It is an object of the invention to provide a mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium such as a nickname, a pronoun, a relative's name or other at least one identification indicium that identifies a person using the mesh puff sponge.
It is an object of the invention to provide a mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium so multiple persons using the mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium can distinguish their mesh puff sponge from other mesh puff sponges being stored in the same single bathtub or shower.
It is an object of the invention to provide a mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium to prevent one person from using another person's mesh puff sponge by mistake.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS

Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention, however, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
The phrase “in one embodiment” is used repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
FIG. 1 illustrates a front perspective view of a mesh puff sponge 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The mesh puff sponge 100 is also commonly referred to as a bathing pouf, a shower pouf or a shower puff.
The mesh puff sponge 100 includes a base mesh sponge 110 and a ribbon 120. The base mesh sponge 110 includes a plurality of wavy mesh pieces 112 and a middle 114 and can be used to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the base mesh sponge 110 on the skin. The wavy mesh pieces 112 are tied together by a string 116 in the middle 114 of the base mesh sponge 110 to form the base mesh sponge 110. The wavy mesh pieces 112 are typically made of synthetic cloth, nylon or other suitable material. The ribbon 120 has a first end 122, a second end 123, a top side 124, a bottom side 125 and includes at least one identification indicium 126 that indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge 100. The ribbon 120 can be made of material selected from the group consisting of silk, artificial silk or polyester. Additional details regarding the ribbon 120 are illustrated and described in subsequent FIGS. 2A and 2B and their descriptions. The string 116 also ties the first end 122 and the second end 123 of the ribbon 120 to the middle 114 of the base mesh sponge 110 thereby securing the ribbon 120 to the base mesh sponge 110. The at least one identification indicium 126 is a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 124 and the bottom side 125 of the ribbon 120 and is clearly visible, conspicuous and relatively easily read at a glance to allow relatively easy identification regarding who is using the mesh puff sponge 100.
The ribbon 120 can be utilized separately from the mesh puff sponge 100 and be attached to any suitable bath hygiene product such as a loofa back sponge, a loofa back pad or other loofa product (all not shown) that identifies a person using the loofa back sponge, a loofa back pad or other loofa product.
FIG. 2A illustrates a front view of a plurality of ribbons 200 of a mesh puff sponge 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention. The ribbons 200 illustrated and described in FIG. 2A and its description are similar to the ribbon 120 illustrated and described in FIG. 1 and its description. The ribbons 200 include a first ribbon 220, a second ribbon 230, a third ribbon 240 and a fourth ribbon 250. Only one ribbon 200 is attached to the mesh puff sponge 100. More specifically, only the first ribbon 220, the second ribbon 230, the third ribbon 240 or the fourth ribbon 250 is attached to the mesh puff sponge 100.
The first ribbon 220 has a first end 222, a second end 223, a top side 224, a bottom side 225 and includes at least one identification indicium 210 that indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge 100. The at least one identification indicium 210 is a pronoun 214 that is a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 224 and the bottom side 225 of the first ribbon 220 and is clearly visible, conspicuous and relatively easily read at a glance to allow relatively easy identification regarding who is using the mesh puff sponge 100. The pronoun 214 illustrated on the first ribbon 220 is the pronoun “his” 214′ although any suitable pronoun can be a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 224 and the bottom side 225 of the first ribbon 220. Additionally the playful hygiene-related expression 228 or SUDSY BUDDIES™ is also a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 224 and the bottom side 225 of the first ribbon 220.
The second ribbon 230 has a first end 232, a second end 233, a top side 234, a bottom side 235 and includes at least one identification indicium 210 that indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge 100. The at least one identification indicium 210 is a pronoun 214 that is a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 234 and the bottom side 235 of the second ribbon 230 and is clearly visible, conspicuous and relatively easily read at a glance to allow relatively easy identification regarding who is using the mesh puff sponge 100. The pronoun 214 illustrated on the second ribbon 230 is the pronoun “hers” 214″although any suitable pronoun can be a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 234 and the bottom side 235 of the second ribbon 230. Additionally the playful hygiene-related expression 238 or SUDSY BUDDIES™ is also a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 234 and the bottom side 235 of the second ribbon 230.
The third ribbon 240 has a first end 242, a second end 243, a top side 244, a bottom side 245 and includes at least one identification indicium 210 that indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge 100. The at least one identification indicium 210 is a nickname 212 that is a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 244 and the bottom side 245 of the third ribbon 240 and is clearly visible, conspicuous and relatively easily read at a glance to allow relatively easy identification regarding who is using the mesh puff sponge 100. The nickname 212 illustrated on the third ribbon 240 is the nickname “Princess” 212′ although any suitable nickname can be a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 244 and the bottom side 245 of the third ribbon 240. Additionally the playful hygiene-related expression 248 or SUDSY BUDDIES™ is also a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 244 and the bottom side 245 of the first ribbon 240.
The fourth ribbon 250 has a first end 252, a second end 253, a top side 254, a bottom side 255 and includes at least one identification indicium 210 that indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge 100. The at least one identification indicium 210 is a nickname 212 that is a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 254 and the bottom side 255 of the fourth ribbon 250 and is clearly visible, conspicuous and relatively easily read at a glance to allow relatively easy identification regarding who is using the mesh puff sponge 100. The nickname 212 illustrated on the fourth ribbon 250 is “Lil' Man” 212″ although any suitable nickname can be a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 254 and the bottom side 255 of the fourth ribbon 250. Additionally the playful hygiene-related expression 258 or SUDSY BUDDIES™ is also a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 254 and the bottom side 255 of the first ribbon 250.
FIG. 2B illustrates a front view of a fifth ribbon 260 of a mesh puff sponge 100, in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention.
The fifth ribbon 260 has a first end 262, a second end 263, a top side 264, a bottom side 265 and includes at least one identification indicium 210 that indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge 100. The at least one identification indicium 210 is a relative's name 216 that is a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 264 and the bottom side 265 of the fifth ribbon 260 and is clearly visible, conspicuous and relatively easily read at a glance to allow relatively easy identification regarding who is using the mesh puff sponge 100. The relative's name 216 illustrated on the fifth ribbon 260 is the relative's name 216 “Mommy” 216′ although any suitable relative's name can be a selected one of printed and embossed on the top side 264 and the bottom side 265 of the fifth ribbon 260.
The mesh puff sponge includes a ribbon having at least one identification indicium such as a nickname, a pronoun, a relative's name or other suitable at least one identification indicium. The mesh puff sponge with an attached ribbon having at least one identification indicium can be used to create suds by applying soap to the mesh puff sponge to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the mesh puff sponge on the skin. The mesh puff sponge can be easily rinsed and stored for reuse by hanging the mesh puff sponge by its ribbon.
It is an object of the invention to provide a mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium such as a nickname, a pronoun, a relative's name or other at least one identification indicium that identifies a person using the mesh puff sponge.
It is an object of the invention to provide a mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium so multiple persons using the mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium can distinguish their mesh puff sponge from other mesh puff sponges being stored in the same single bathtub or shower.
It is an object of the invention to provide a mesh puff sponge with a ribbon having at least one identification indicium to prevent one person from using another person's mesh puff sponge by mistake.
While the present invention has been related in terms of the foregoing embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described. The present invention can be practiced with modification and alteration within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Thus, the description is to be regarded as illustrative instead of restrictive on the present invention.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1. A mesh puff sponge, comprising:

a base mesh sponge that includes a plurality of wavy mesh pieces and a middle, the base mesh sponge is used to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the base mesh sponge on the skin and the wavy mesh pieces are tied together by a string in the middle of the base mesh sponge to form the base mesh sponge; and

a ribbon with a first end, a second end, a top side, a bottom side and at least one identification indicium, the at least one identification indicium indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge and the string ties the first end and the second end of the ribbon to the middle of the base mesh sponge thereby securing the ribbon to the base mesh sponge.

2. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 1, wherein the wavy mesh pieces are made of synthetic cloth.

3. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 1, wherein the at least one identification indicium is printed on the top side and the bottom side of the ribbon.

4. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 1, wherein the at least one identification indicium is embossed on the top side and the bottom side of the ribbon.

5. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 1, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a nickname and a playful hygiene-related expression.

6. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 1, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a pronoun and a playful hygiene-related expression.

7. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 1, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a relative's name.

8. A mesh puff sponge, comprising:

a base mesh sponge that includes a plurality of synthetic cloth wavy mesh pieces and a middle, the base mesh sponge is used to wash and exfoliate skin by rubbing the base mesh sponge on the skin and the wavy mesh pieces are tied together by a string in the middle of the base mesh sponge to form the base mesh sponge; and

a ribbon with a first end, a second end, a top side, a bottom side and at least one identification indicium, the at least one identification indicium indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge, the at least one identification indicium is printed on the top side and the bottom side of the ribbon and the string ties the first end and the second end of the ribbon to the middle of the base mesh sponge thereby securing the ribbon to the base mesh sponge.

9. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 8, wherein the wavy mesh pieces are made of nylon.

10. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 8, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a relative's name.

11. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 8, wherein the at least one identification indicium is embossed on the top side and the bottom side of the ribbon.

12. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 8, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a nickname and a playful hygiene-related expression.

13. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 8, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a pronoun and a playful hygiene-related expression.

14. A mesh puff sponge, comprising:

a ribbon with a first end, a second end, a top side, a bottom side and at least one identification indicium, the at least one identification indicium indicates who uses the mesh puff sponge, the at least one identification indicium is a selected one of being printed and embossed on the top side and the bottom side of the ribbon and the string ties the first end and the second end of the ribbon to the middle of the base mesh sponge thereby securing the ribbon to the base mesh sponge.

15. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 15, wherein the synthetic cloth wavy mesh pieces are made of nylon.

16. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 15, wherein the ribbon is utilized separately from the mesh puff sponge and is attached to a bath hygiene product.

17. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 15, wherein the ribbon is made of material selected from the group consisting of silk, artificial silk or polyester.

18. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 15, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a relative's name.

19. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 15, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a nickname and a playful hygiene-related expression.

20. The mesh puff sponge according to claim 15, wherein the at least one identification indicium includes a pronoun and a playful hygiene-related expression.
