Abstract

A combination playpen includes a playpen and a removable bed detachably combined with the playpen. The playpen includes a playpen body and at least one first zipper mounted in the playpen body. The removable bed includes a bed body detachably mounted in the playpen body of the playpen, a second zipper mounted on the bed body, and a pull tab mounted on the second zipper and detachably connected with the first zipper of the playpen. Thus, the first zipper of the playpen and the second zipper of the removable bed are connected or disconnected by operation of the pull tab of the removable bed so that the removable bed can be mounted on and detached from the playpen easily and quickly, thereby facilitating the user assembling and disassembling the removable bed.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a playpen and, more particularly, to a combination playpen for an infant or a baby.
2. Description of the Related Art
A conventional playpen comprises a support frame, a stand mounted on the bottom of the support frame, and a mattress mounted in the support frame. Thus, the support frame has an inner space to receive an infant or a baby so that the infant or baby can play in the support frame and can sleep on the mattress. However, the mattress is placed in and located at a lower position of the support frame so that when the parents wish to take the baby or infant from the mattress, they have to bend their bodies largely to extend into the support frame so as to take the baby or infant out of the support frame, thereby causing inconvenience to the parents. In addition, the support frame has a greater height, and the mattress is placed in and located at the lower position of the support frame so that the parents cannot easily watch or care the baby during sleep.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a combination playpen, comprising a playpen and a removable bed detachably combined with the playpen. The playpen includes a playpen body and at least one first zipper mounted in the playpen body. The first zipper of the playpen extends along a periphery of an open top of the playpen body. The removable bed includes a bed body detachably mounted in the playpen body of the playpen, a second zipper mounted on the bed body, and a pull tab mounted on the second zipper and detachably connected with the first zipper of the playpen so that the second zipper of the removable bed connects with the first zipper of the playpen. The second zipper of the removable bed extends along a periphery of an open top of the bed body.
The playpen further includes a protective jacket mounted in the playpen body and covering the pull tab of the removable bed. The removable bed further includes a bonding strap mounted in the bed body and connected with the protective jacket of the playpen so that the pull tab of the removable bed is covered by the protective jacket of the playpen and the bonding strap of the removable bed. The removable bed further includes a plurality of first support bars mounted in the bed body and a plurality of second support bars mounted in the bed body and each connected with a respective one of the first support bars. The removable bed further includes a plurality of fastening straps mounted in the bed body and each secured on a connection of a respective one of the first support bars and a respective one of the second support bars. The bed body of the removable bed has a bottom provided with a plurality of fixing loops fixed onto the first support bars and the second support bars respectively. Each of the first support bars has a first end and a second end. Each of the support bars has a first end and a second end. The first end of each of the first support bars is connected with the first end of a respective one of the second support bars and is fastened by a respective one of the fastening straps. The second end of each of the first support bars is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops. The second end of each of the second support bars is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops. The removable bed further includes a support mattress mounted in the bed body and supported by the first support bars and the second support bars. The support mattress of the removable bed is made of a soft material. The bed body of the removable bed is located at the open top of the playpen body of the playpen. Preferably, the first zipper of the playpen has four corners each having an arcuate shape. Preferably, the second zipper of the removable bed has four corners each having an arcuate shape.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a combination playpen that is partially assembled and disassembled easily and quickly.
According to the primary advantage of the present invention, the first zipper of the playpen and the second zipper of the removable bed are connected or disconnected by operation of the pull tab of the removable bed so that the removable bed can be mounted on and detached from the playpen easily and quickly, thereby facilitating the user assembling and disassembling the removable bed.
According to another advantage of the present invention, the removable bed is located at the upper position of the playpen so that the parents can care or take the baby or infant from the bed body of the removable bed easily and quickly without having to bend their bodies largely so as to facilitate the parents watching or taking care of the baby or infant during sleep.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1-5, a combination playpen in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a playpen 1 and a removable bed 2 detachably combined with the playpen 1.
The playpen 1 includes a playpen body 11 and at least one first zipper 12 mounted in the playpen body 11. The playpen body 11 of the playpen 1 has an inner space in which an infant or a baby plays. The first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 extends along a periphery of an open top of the playpen body 11. Preferably, the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 has four corners each having an arcuate shape.
The removable bed 2 includes a bed body 21 detachably mounted in the playpen body 11 of the playpen 1, a second zipper 22 mounted on the bed body 21, and a pull tab 23 mounted on the second zipper 22 and detachably connected with the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 so that the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 connects with the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1. The bed body 21 of the removable bed 2 is located at the open top of the playpen body 11 of the playpen 1. The second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 extends along a periphery of an open top of the bed body 21. Preferably, the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 has four corners each having an arcuate shape.
The playpen 1 further includes a protective jacket 121 mounted in the playpen body 11 and covering the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2.
The removable bed 2 further includes a bonding strap 213 mounted in the bed body 21 and connected with the protective jacket 121 of the playpen 1 so that the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 is covered by the protective jacket 121 of the playpen 1 and the bonding strap 213 of the removable bed 2, a plurality of first support bars 24 mounted in the bed body 21, a plurality of second support bars 25 mounted in the bed body 21 and each connected with a respective one of the first support bars 24, a support mattress 26 mounted in the bed body 21 and supported by the first support bars 24 and the second support bars 25, and a plurality of fastening straps 212 mounted in the bed body 21 and each secured on a connection of a respective one of the first support bars 24 and a respective one of the second support bars 25. The support mattress 26 of the removable bed 2 is made of a soft material.
The bed body 21 of the removable bed 2 has a bottom provided with a plurality of fixing loops 211 fixed onto the first support bars 24 and the second support bars 25 respectively. Each of the first support bars 24 has a first end and a second end. Each of the support bars 25 has a first end and a second end. The first end of each of the first support bars 24 is connected with the first end of a respective one of the second support bars 25 and is fastened by a respective one of the fastening straps 212. The second end of each of the first support bars 24 is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops 211. The second end of each of the second support bars 25 is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops 211.
In assembly, when the bed body 21 of the removable bed 2 is placed into the playpen body 11 of the playpen 1, the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 aligns with and abuts the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1. Then, the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 is moved along the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 and the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 so that the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 is connected with the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 by the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2. At this time, the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 has four corners each having an arcuate shape, and the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 has four corners each having an arcuate shape so that the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 is moved along the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 and the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 smoothly and stably. Then, the protective jacket 121 of the playpen 1 is bonded onto and connected with the bonding strap 213 of the removable bed 2 to cover the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2. Then, the first end of each of the first support bars 24 is connected with the first end of a respective one of the second support bars 25 so that each of the first support bars 24 is connected with the respective second support bar 25. Then, the second end of each of the first support bars 24 is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops 211, and the second end of each of the second support bars 25 is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops 211. Then, the connection of each of the first support bars 24 and each of the second support bars 25 is fastened by a respective one of the fastening straps 212 so that the first support bars 24 and each of the second support bars 25 are fixed by the fixing loops 211 and the fastening straps 212 respectively. Finally, the support mattress 26 is placed into the bed body 21 and supported by the first support bars 24 and the second support bars 25 to finish assembly of the combination playpen.
Accordingly, the removable bed 2 is located at the upper position of the playpen 1 so that the parents can care or take the baby or infant from the bed body 21 of the removable bed 2 easily and quickly without having to bend their bodies largely so as to facilitate the parents watching or taking care of the baby or infant during sleep. In addition, the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 and the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 are connected or disconnected by operation of the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 so that the removable bed 2 can be mounted on and detached from the playpen 1 easily and quickly, thereby facilitating the user assembling and disassembling the removable bed 2. Further, the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 is covered by the protective jacket 121 of the playpen 1 and the bonding strap 213 of the removable bed 2 so that the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 will not directly touch or hurt the baby or infant so as to protect the baby or infant. Further, the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 has four corners each having an arcuate shape, and the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 has four corners each having an arcuate shape so that the pull tab 23 of the removable bed 2 is moved along the first zipper 12 of the playpen 1 and the second zipper 22 of the removable bed 2 smoothly and stably.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A combination playpen, comprising:

a playpen; and

a removable bed detachably combined with the playpen;

wherein the playpen includes:

a playpen body; and

at least one first zipper mounted in the playpen body;

the first zipper of the playpen extends along a periphery of an open top of the playpen body;

the removable bed includes:

a bed body detachably mounted in the playpen body of the playpen;

a second zipper mounted on the bed body; and

a pull tab mounted on the second zipper and detachably connected with the first zipper of the playpen so that the second zipper of the removable bed connects with the first zipper of the playpen;

the second zipper of the removable bed extends along a periphery of an open top of the bed body.

2. The combination playpen of claim 1, wherein the playpen further includes a protective jacket mounted in the playpen body and covering the pull tab of the removable bed.

3. The combination playpen of claim 2, wherein

the removable bed further includes a bonding strap mounted in the bed body and connected with the protective jacket of the playpen;

the pull tab of the removable bed is covered by the protective jacket of the playpen and the bonding strap of the removable bed.

4. The combination playpen of claim 1, wherein the removable bed further includes:

a plurality of first support bars mounted in the bed body; and

a plurality of second support bars mounted in the bed body and each connected with a respective one of the first support bars.

5. The combination playpen of claim 4, wherein the removable bed further includes a plurality of fastening straps mounted in the bed body and each secured on a connection of a respective one of the first support bars and a respective one of the second support bars.

6. The combination playpen of claim 5, wherein

the bed body of the removable bed has a bottom provided with a plurality of fixing loops fixed onto the first support bars and the second support bars respectively;

each of the first support bars has a first end and a second end;

each of the support bars has a first end and a second end;

the first end of each of the first support bars is connected with the first end of a respective one of the second support bars and is fastened by a respective one of the fastening straps;

the second end of each of the first support bars is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops;

the second end of each of the second support bars is inserted into and fixed by a respective one of the fixing loops.

7. The combination playpen of claim 1, wherein the removable bed further includes a support mattress mounted in the bed body and supported by the first support bars and the second support bars.

8. The combination playpen of claim 7, wherein the support mattress of the removable bed is made of a soft material.

9. The combination playpen of claim 1, wherein

the bed body of the removable bed is located at the open top of the playpen body of the playpen;

the first zipper of the playpen has four corners each having an arcuate shape;

the second zipper of the removable bed has four corners each having an arcuate shape.
