Abstract
A drawer cart with in-mold labels includes a cart and a plurality of drawers made by injection molding. Each drawer has a housing compartment opened upward and a display surface. The drawers are slidably mounted onto the cart with the display surfaces exposed outwards and can be partially drawn away from the cart to expose the housing compartment. The display surface contains an in-mold label formed during the injection molding. The in-mold label has patterns for indication and visual aesthetic, and also facilitating classification of goods held in the drawers. The patterns on the in-mold label can be designed differently in response to varying display surfaces and can be combined to form a whole pattern to enhance total design sense and meet use requirements.
Description
- The present invention relates to a drawer cart and particularly to a drawer cart with display surfaces for indication and aesthetic.
- A
conventional drawer cart 1, referring toFIG. 1 , mainly includes acart 2 and a plurality ofdrawers 3. Eachdrawer 3 has ahousing compartment 4 opened upward. Thedrawers 3 are slidably mounted onto thecart 2 and can be drawn partially away from thecart 2 to expose thehousing compartment 4 to allow users to load various goods 5 (such as hand tools) into thehousing compartment 4. Thecart 2 can be moved around as required to facilitate the users to fetch thegoods 5 from thehousing compartment 4. - The
conventional drawer cart 1 usually is shared by many people, and thedisplay surface 6 of eachdrawer 3 does not have any notation or symbol. Users often do not know whichhousing compartment 4 of whichdrawer 3 to return thegoods 5 after finish of using. As a result thereturned goods 5 are often put into a randomly chosendrawer 3. This often creates difficulty for other people to find out or get thegoods 5 needed. - To remedy the aforesaid problem another conventional approach of hanging an external tag (not shown in the drawing) to indicate the
goods 5 contained in eachdrawer 3 has been adopted. However, the external hanging tag is easily damaged and dropping off when thedrawer cart 1 is moved around. Hence it still cannot fully meet use requirements. - Therefore, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a drawer cart with display surfaces for indication and aesthetic.
- To achieve the foregoing object, the invention provides a drawer cart with in-mold labels. It includes a cart and a plurality of drawers made by injection molding. Each drawer has a housing compartment opened upward and a display surface. The drawer is slidably mounted onto the cart with the display surface exposed outwards. The display surface also contains an in-mold label formed during the injection molding.
- The in-mold label has patterns for indication or aesthetic to make the display surface provide indication function or appeal function. As a result, the drawer cart has greater added-value and users can dispose the goods according to selected categories to improve usability and facilitate holding of varying goods, and the holding places of different goods are clearly marked. All this enables the drawer cart to better meet use requirements.
- The foregoing, as well as additional objects, features and advantages of the invention will be more readily apparent from the following detailed description, which proceeds with reference to the accompanying drawings.
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a conventional drawer cart. -
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the drawer cart of the invention. -
FIG. 3 is an exploded view of the drawer cart of the invention. -
FIG. 4 is a schematic view of the drawer cart in a use condition. -
FIG. 5 is a schematic view of another embodiment of the drawer cart of the invention. -
FIG. 6 is a schematic view of yet another embodiment of the drawer cart of the invention. - Please refer to
FIGS. 2 and 3 , the present invention aims to provide adrawer cart 10 which includes acart 20 and a plurality ofdrawers 30 made by injection molding. Eachdrawer 30 has ahousing compartment 31 opened upward and adisplay surface 32. Thedrawer 30 is slidably mounted onto thecart 20 with thedisplay surface 32 exposed outwards. Thedisplay surface 32 has an in-mold label 40 formed thereon during the injection molding. - The
cart 20 also has a plurality ofslide tracks 21 to slidably hold thedrawers 30 thereon and allow thedrawers 30 to be drawn away from thecart 20 to expose thehousing compartments 31. Thedisplay surface 32 further has at least oneretainer 33 corresponding to eachslide track 21 to prevent thedrawer 30 from sliding too deep into theslide track 21, thereby the position of thedrawer 30 can be confined. Thedisplay surface 32 also can have agrip knob 34 to facilitate gripping by a user's hand to draw thedrawer 30. - Also referring to
FIG. 4 , after thedrawer 30 has been drawn outwards, various goods 50 (such as hand tools) can be loaded into it. The in-mold label 40 may contain patterns for indication or aesthetic purpose. Thecart 20 can be moved around to facilitate fetching and use of thegoods 50 by users as desired. - Please refer to
FIG. 5 ,varying display surfaces 32 ofdifferent drawers 30 also can form awhole pattern 60 with a portion of thewhole pattern 60 shown on eachdisplay surface 32. As shown in the drawing, thewhole pattern 60 can be a Christmas tree. Hence a total design sense of thedrawer cart 10 can be enhanced to increase added-value thereof. - Referring to
FIG. 6 , in addition to the in-mold label 40 formed on thedisplay surface 32 of thedrawer 30, threeside surfaces 35 on the left and right sides and opposite side of thedisplay surface 32 also can contain respectively another in-mold label 41, thereby to add appearance color of other visual angles to further enhance the added-value. - As a conclusion, when the display surface and other three side surfaces of the drawer are made by injection molding, an in-mold label can be formed on each of the side surfaces at the same time. Through the patterns formed on the in-mold label, indication function and appeal function can be provided to enhance the added-value of the drawer cart. Such a structure also allows users to load and store goods according to desired categories to improve usability. The pattern can adopt a whole pattern to enhance total design sense to further increase the added-value of the drawer cart and meet use requirements.
