Abstract
The present invention is a feminine care kit for a locker/backpack comprising a purse, an adjustable wristband, a swivel clasp, and pre-filled feminine hygiene products such as tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, clean underwear, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear. The present invention allows menstruating young females to discreetly package their essential feminine hygiene products on-the-go. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack is specifically designed with a separate underwear pocket for storing clean underwear. The present invention may be hung in the user's backpack or locker via the swivel clasp. The adjustable wristband allows the present invention to fit comfortably around the wrist of the user. The adjustability of the wristband allows the present invention to suit users of various wrist diameters.
Description
- The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 61/532,954 filed on Sep. 9, 2011.
- The present invention relates generally to a carrying case containing feminine hygiene products. The present invention provides necessary feminine hygiene articles packaged to go when a young woman is menstruating. Furthermore, the present invention allows young menstruating women to discreetly groom themselves.
- The present invention is a carrying case designed for women between the ages of nine and eighteen. The case allows school-age girls to carry and store feminine hygiene products in a discreet manner. The purse-like case is able to hold underwear, sanitary napkins, tampons, wipes, sanitary bag for soiled underwear. The case is reusable and can be stored in areas such as a backpack, a locker, or a larger purse. The present invention ensures the necessary feminine hygiene items are on hand when needed.
- It is also necessary for women to carry feminine hygiene products with them during menstruation. The present invention is ideal to have on hand in case of an emergency. It can be difficult for women especially school-age girls to carry essential feminine hygiene products in a discreet manner. Therefore, the younger users may keep the present invention in their locker or backpack. The school-age girls are often embarrassed if a tampon or sanitary napkin falls out of their bag in public. They may find themselves in a situation where they do not have the appropriate supplies such as extra underwear or a sanitary wipe. Therefore, the present invention is an effective solution to this problem.

- The present invention is a feminine care kit for a locker/backpack comprising a purse 1, a plurality of
feminine hygiene products 17, anadjustable wristband 11 and aswivel clasp 16. The present invention allows the carrier to discreetly package the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 on-the-go. In the preferred embodiment, the purse 1 is made of washable cloth. The purse 1 comprises a hollow space 2, a plurality of compartments 4, an outer pocket 3, aslit 5, azipper 6, and an inside underwear pocket 15 as shown inFIG. 5 , andFIG. 6 ,FIG. 7 . Theslit 5 comprises afirst edge 9 and asecond edge 10. The inside underwear pocket 15 is made of a mesh 7 and anelastic band 8. Imprinted upon theelastic band 8 is a label “Underwear”. The hollow space 2 of the purse 1 is a hollow volume positioned within thereof. Specifically, the hollow space 2 is located within the purse 1. As shown inFIG. 5 andFIG. 7 , the hollow space 2 allows the plurality of compartments 4, the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17, the inside underwear pocket 15 to be contained within the purse 1. Within the purse 1, the inside underwear pocket 15 is positioned adjacent to the plurality of compartments 4. The plurality of compartments 4 are to store the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 which includes but is not limited to tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear. - The purse 1 of the present invention comprises a base, a top, a front side, a back side, a first narrow side and a second narrow side as shown in
FIG. 1 ,FIG. 2 , andFIG. 5 . Each of the plurality of compartments 4 can be divided from each other by a plurality of dividers. The base of the purse 1 is whereupon a plurality of dividers and the plurality of compartments 4 situate. The plurality of dividers may be attached to the base of the purse 1 via a plurality of stitches or hook and loop fasteners. Another possibility for the disposition of the plurality of dividers is upon either the front side or the back side, on the inside of the purse 1, in a sequential manner while each of the plurality of dividers overlapping each other. While overlapping each other, each of the plurality of dividers is spaced apart leaving a pocket in between each of the plurality of dividers. Each of the pockets in between each of the plurality of the dividers forms each of the plurality of compartments 4. In this arrangement, the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 including sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear, can be tucked away into each of the plurality of compartments 4. - The plurality of compartments 4 may situate as separate compartments from each other. For example, tampons and feminine pads occupy a voluminous space. Therefore, each of the plurality of compartments 4 for tampons or feminine pads may not simply be a flat compartment, but a loose compartment with a definite width. The present invention may comprise a tampon compartment specifically designed to store tampons or feminine pads as a group of tampons or feminine pads may occupy a voluminous space.
- Beside the plurality of dividers and the plurality of compartments 4, the purse 1 may also comprise the inside underwear pocket 15 which comprises the mesh 7 and the
elastic band 8 within the stretchable hollow space 2 thereof. Specifically, the inside underwear pocket 15 is positioned adjacent to the plurality of the compartments inside the purse 1. As shown inFIG. 6 andFIG. 7 , the inside underwear pocket 15 may be attached and flush to either the front inside or the back inside of the hollow space 2. Particularly, the inside underwear pocket 15 is situated flat against the wall of the purse 1 in a manner wherein theelastic band 8 is positioned atop the mesh 7. Theelastic band 8 is connected to the top edge of the mesh 7 via a plurality of stitches. The bottom edge of the mesh 7 is connected via a plurality of stitches to either the front inside or the back inside within the purse 1. Both theelastic band 8 and the mesh 7 are adjoined together to form the inside underwear pocket 15. As previously mentioned, theelastic band 8 comprises an imprinted indicium “Underwear” upon thereof. Furthermore, theelastic band 8 and the mesh 7 may be made of cloth. The inside underwear pocket 15 serves as a pocket to store clean and unused underwear as shown. The mesh 7 serves as a pocket to contain the unused underpants whereas theelastic band 8 serves as a variable band to trap the unused underpants within the mesh 7. The flexibility of theelastic band 8 allows the top edge of the mesh 7 to have a variable length to prevent the unused underpants to fall out thereof. - Attached laterally to the purse 1 is the
adjustable wristband 11. Also attached laterally to the purse 1, opposite to theadjustable wristband 11 is theswivel clasp 16. Theadjustable wristband 11 comprises awristband ring 12, awristband 13 and atri-glide slide 14. Thewristband 13 is attached to the purse 1 via thewristband ring 12. Particularly, thewristband ring 12 is attached to either the first narrow side or the second narrow side of the purse 1 via a first purse loop. Thewristband ring 12 is traversed through the first purse loop as shown inFIG. 1 andFIG. 2 . Thewristband 13 of theadjustable wristband 11 is simply a band traversing through thewristband ring 12. The two ends of thewristband 13 are attached to each other to form a closed loop via thetri-glide slide 14. Therefore, thewristband 13 is attached to thewristband ring 12 by also traversing through thetri-glide slide 14. Thetri-glide slide 14 is a fastener composed of three bars. One end of thewristband 13 is looped through the center bar of thetri-glide slide 14 and is permanently attached thereto via a plurality of stitches. The free end of thewristband 13 is looped over the attached end, the center bar, and the other two side bars to form a closed loop as shown inFIG. 1 . Due to the attachment of thetri-glide slide 14 thereto, the circumference of thewristband 13 is thus adjustable to accommodate the circumference of the wrist of the user. After looping through thetri-glide slide 14, the free end of thewristband 13 can further be attached to thewristband 13 by looping through an extra wristband loop. By traversing through the extra wristband loop, the free end of thewristband 13 is aesthetically attached to thewristband 13. Furthermore, the free end is prevented from inconveniently attaching itself to surrounding objects. - Beside the
adjustable wristband 11, theswivel clasp 16 is also attached laterally to the purse 1. Theswivel clasp 16 may be substituted by other various types of hooks and clips. Specifically, the bottom of theswivel clasp 16 is attached to either the first narrow side or the second narrow side of the purse 1 via a second purse loop. The bottom of theswivel clasp 16 is a swivel clasp ring which is looped through the second purse loop as shown inFIG. 1 andFIG. 2 . The attachment of the swivel clasp ring to the second purse loop allows theswivel clasp 16 to be attached to the purse 1. In other embodiments, there can be other hook fasteners attached to the second purse 1 loop in place of theswivel clasp 16. These other hook fasteners may include carabiners with or without a retractable cord. - Attached to the top of the purse 1 are the
slit 5 and thezipper 6. Theslit 5 allows the user to open up the purse 1 and access the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 contained within thereof. Theslit 5 is positioned above the hollow space 2, the plurality of compartments 4, the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17, the inside underwear pocket 15, and the outer pocket 3. Particularly, thezipper 6 is positioned both coplanarly and collinearly with theslit 5. As mentioned previously, theslit 5 comprises thefirst edge 9 and thesecond edge 10. Thefirst edge 9 of theslit 5 is attached laterally to thesecond edge 10 of theslit 5 via thezipper 6. Therefore, theslit 5 can be closed up by thezipper 6. Specifically, thezipper 6 is attached to theslit 5 or the hem of the purse 1 via a plurality of stitches. Since theslit 5 is positioned above the hollow space 2, thezipper 6 serves as a fastener to join thefirst edge 9 and thesecond edge 10 of theslit 5 together to close the hollow space 2 and consequently the purse 1. Once thefirst edge 9 and thesecond edge 10 are joined by thezipper 6, the contents or the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 within the bag will not fall out thereof. - Attached to the outer lateral surface of either the front side or the back side of the purse 1 is the outer pocket 3. The outer pocket 3 comprises an outer pouch and an outer flap. As shown in
FIG. 1 , the outer pocket 3 further comprises a snap fastener, which allows the outer pouch to be closed by the outer flap. Specifically, the snap fastener comprises a socket and a press stud. The press stud is adhered to the outer flap whereas the socket is adhered to the outer lateral surface of the outer pouch. Both the press stud and the outer flap are positioned in a corresponding manner wherein the press stud is engaged with the socket when the outer pouch is covered by the outer flap. - When the present invention is marketed, the feminine care kit for a locker/backpack is pre-filled and sold with the plurality of
feminine hygiene products 17 that is useful for a young woman when she is menstruating. As shown inFIG. 3 ,FIG. 5 , andFIG. 7 , the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 includes but is not limited to tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, clean underwear, sanitary bags for soiled underwear. Furthermore, the plurality offeminine hygiene products 17 may be contained within the hollow space 2 without being compartmentalized by the plurality of compartments 4 or the plurality of dividers. In the preferred embodiment, the present invention may have a youthful, feminine appearance indicated by flowers, butterflies, stars and the like. In the preferred embodiment, the length of the purse 1 is 7.5 inches; the width of the purse 1 is 4.5 inches and the depth of the purse 1 is 0.5 inches. The depth of the purse 1 is also the width of either the first narrow side or the second narrow side. These exact dimensions of the present invention may vary. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
Claims (19)
1. A feminine care kit for a locker/backpack comprises,
a purse,
the purse comprising a hollow space, a slit, a plurality of compartments, an inside underwear pocket, an outer pocket, and a zipper;
a plurality of feminine hygiene products;
the plurality of feminine hygiene products being positioned inside the hollow space;
the inside underwear pocket comprising a mesh and an elastic band;
the slit comprising a first edge and a second edge;
an adjustable wristband; and
a swivel clasp.
2. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 comprises,
the hollow space being located within the purse;
the plurality of compartments being positioned within the hollow space;
the inside underwear pocket being positioned inside the hollow space; and
the inside underwear pocket being adjacent to the plurality of compartments.
3. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 comprises,
the slit being positioned above the hollow space;
the slit being positioned above the plurality of compartments;
the slit being positioned above the plurality of feminine hygiene products;
the slit being positioned above the inside underwear pocket; and
the slit being positioned above the outer pocket.
4. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 comprises,
the zipper being positioned collinearly with the slit; and
the first edge being attached to the second edge via the zipper.
5. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 comprises,
the elastic band being adjoined to the mesh; and
the elastic band being positioned atop the mesh.
6. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 comprises,
the adjustable wristband being attached laterally to the purse;
the swivel clasp being attached laterally to the purse; and
the swivel clasp being attached opposite to the adjustable wristband on the purse.
7. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 6 comprises,
the adjustable wristband comprising a wristband ring, a wristband and a tri-glide slide;
the wristband being attached laterally to the purse via the wristband ring;
the wristband traversing through the wristband ring; and
the wristband traversing through the tri-glide slide.
8. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of feminine hygiene products includes but is not limited to tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, clean underwear, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear.
9. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the swivel clasp may be substituted by other various types of hooks and clips.
10. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the elastic band and the mesh are made of cloth.
11. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the elastic band has the label “Underwear” imprinted thereupon.
12. A feminine care kit for a locker/backpack comprises,
a purse,
the purse comprising a hollow space, a slit, a plurality of compartments, an inside underwear pocket, an outer pocket, and a zipper;
a plurality of feminine hygiene products;
the plurality of feminine hygiene products being positioned inside the hollow space;
the inside underwear pocket comprising a mesh and an elastic band;
the slit comprising a first edge and a second edge;
an adjustable wristband;
a swivel clasp;
the hollow space being located within the purse;
the plurality of compartments being positioned within the hollow space;
the inside underwear pocket being positioned inside the hollow space;
the inside underwear pocket being adjacent to the plurality of compartments;
the slit being positioned above the hollow space;
the zipper being positioned collinearly with the slit;
the first edge being attached to the second edge via the zipper.
the adjustable wristband being attached laterally to the purse;
the swivel clasp being attached laterally to the purse; and
the swivel clasp being attached opposite to the adjustable wristband on the purse.
13. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 12 comprises,
the slit being positioned above the plurality of compartments;
the slit being positioned above the plurality of feminine hygiene products;
the slit being positioned above the inside underwear pocket; and
the slit being positioned above the outer pocket.
14. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 12 comprises,
the elastic band being adjoined to the mesh; and
the elastic band being positioned atop the mesh.
15. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 12 comprises,
the adjustable wristband comprising a wristband ring, a wristband and a tri-glide slide;
the wristband being attached laterally to the purse via the wristband ring;
the wristband traversing through the wristband ring; and
the wristband traversing through the tri-glide slide.
16. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the plurality of feminine hygiene products includes but is not limited to tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, clean underwear, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear.
17. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the swivel clasp may be substituted by other various types of hooks and clips.
18. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the elastic band and the mesh are made of cloth.
19. The feminine care kit for a locker/backpack as claimed in claim 14 , wherein the elastic band has the label “Underwear” imprinted thereupon.
