  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
  • The present invention is a feminine care kit for a locker/backpack comprising a purse 1, a plurality of feminine hygiene products 17, an adjustable wristband 11 and a swivel clasp 16. The present invention allows the carrier to discreetly package the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 on-the-go. In the preferred embodiment, the purse 1 is made of washable cloth. The purse 1 comprises a hollow space 2, a plurality of compartments 4, an outer pocket 3, a slit 5, a zipper 6, and an inside underwear pocket 15 as shown in FIG. 5, and FIG. 6, FIG. 7. The slit 5 comprises a first edge 9 and a second edge 10. The inside underwear pocket 15 is made of a mesh 7 and an elastic band 8. Imprinted upon the elastic band 8 is a label “Underwear”. The hollow space 2 of the purse 1 is a hollow volume positioned within thereof. Specifically, the hollow space 2 is located within the purse 1. As shown in FIG. 5 and FIG. 7, the hollow space 2 allows the plurality of compartments 4, the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17, the inside underwear pocket 15 to be contained within the purse 1. Within the purse 1, the inside underwear pocket 15 is positioned adjacent to the plurality of compartments 4. The plurality of compartments 4 are to store the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 which includes but is not limited to tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear.
  • The purse 1 of the present invention comprises a base, a top, a front side, a back side, a first narrow side and a second narrow side as shown in FIG. 1, FIG. 2, and FIG. 5. Each of the plurality of compartments 4 can be divided from each other by a plurality of dividers. The base of the purse 1 is whereupon a plurality of dividers and the plurality of compartments 4 situate. The plurality of dividers may be attached to the base of the purse 1 via a plurality of stitches or hook and loop fasteners. Another possibility for the disposition of the plurality of dividers is upon either the front side or the back side, on the inside of the purse 1, in a sequential manner while each of the plurality of dividers overlapping each other. While overlapping each other, each of the plurality of dividers is spaced apart leaving a pocket in between each of the plurality of dividers. Each of the pockets in between each of the plurality of the dividers forms each of the plurality of compartments 4. In this arrangement, the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 including sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, and sanitary bags for soiled underwear, can be tucked away into each of the plurality of compartments 4.
  • The plurality of compartments 4 may situate as separate compartments from each other. For example, tampons and feminine pads occupy a voluminous space. Therefore, each of the plurality of compartments 4 for tampons or feminine pads may not simply be a flat compartment, but a loose compartment with a definite width. The present invention may comprise a tampon compartment specifically designed to store tampons or feminine pads as a group of tampons or feminine pads may occupy a voluminous space.
  • Beside the plurality of dividers and the plurality of compartments 4, the purse 1 may also comprise the inside underwear pocket 15 which comprises the mesh 7 and the elastic band 8 within the stretchable hollow space 2 thereof. Specifically, the inside underwear pocket 15 is positioned adjacent to the plurality of the compartments inside the purse 1. As shown in FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the inside underwear pocket 15 may be attached and flush to either the front inside or the back inside of the hollow space 2. Particularly, the inside underwear pocket 15 is situated flat against the wall of the purse 1 in a manner wherein the elastic band 8 is positioned atop the mesh 7. The elastic band 8 is connected to the top edge of the mesh 7 via a plurality of stitches. The bottom edge of the mesh 7 is connected via a plurality of stitches to either the front inside or the back inside within the purse 1. Both the elastic band 8 and the mesh 7 are adjoined together to form the inside underwear pocket 15. As previously mentioned, the elastic band 8 comprises an imprinted indicium “Underwear” upon thereof. Furthermore, the elastic band 8 and the mesh 7 may be made of cloth. The inside underwear pocket 15 serves as a pocket to store clean and unused underwear as shown. The mesh 7 serves as a pocket to contain the unused underpants whereas the elastic band 8 serves as a variable band to trap the unused underpants within the mesh 7. The flexibility of the elastic band 8 allows the top edge of the mesh 7 to have a variable length to prevent the unused underpants to fall out thereof.
  • Attached laterally to the purse 1 is the adjustable wristband 11. Also attached laterally to the purse 1, opposite to the adjustable wristband 11 is the swivel clasp 16. The adjustable wristband 11 comprises a wristband ring 12, a wristband 13 and a tri-glide slide 14. The wristband 13 is attached to the purse 1 via the wristband ring 12. Particularly, the wristband ring 12 is attached to either the first narrow side or the second narrow side of the purse 1 via a first purse loop. The wristband ring 12 is traversed through the first purse loop as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. The wristband 13 of the adjustable wristband 11 is simply a band traversing through the wristband ring 12. The two ends of the wristband 13 are attached to each other to form a closed loop via the tri-glide slide 14. Therefore, the wristband 13 is attached to the wristband ring 12 by also traversing through the tri-glide slide 14. The tri-glide slide 14 is a fastener composed of three bars. One end of the wristband 13 is looped through the center bar of the tri-glide slide 14 and is permanently attached thereto via a plurality of stitches. The free end of the wristband 13 is looped over the attached end, the center bar, and the other two side bars to form a closed loop as shown in FIG. 1. Due to the attachment of the tri-glide slide 14 thereto, the circumference of the wristband 13 is thus adjustable to accommodate the circumference of the wrist of the user. After looping through the tri-glide slide 14, the free end of the wristband 13 can further be attached to the wristband 13 by looping through an extra wristband loop. By traversing through the extra wristband loop, the free end of the wristband 13 is aesthetically attached to the wristband 13. Furthermore, the free end is prevented from inconveniently attaching itself to surrounding objects.
  • Beside the adjustable wristband 11, the swivel clasp 16 is also attached laterally to the purse 1. The swivel clasp 16 may be substituted by other various types of hooks and clips. Specifically, the bottom of the swivel clasp 16 is attached to either the first narrow side or the second narrow side of the purse 1 via a second purse loop. The bottom of the swivel clasp 16 is a swivel clasp ring which is looped through the second purse loop as shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. The attachment of the swivel clasp ring to the second purse loop allows the swivel clasp 16 to be attached to the purse 1. In other embodiments, there can be other hook fasteners attached to the second purse 1 loop in place of the swivel clasp 16. These other hook fasteners may include carabiners with or without a retractable cord.
  • Attached to the top of the purse 1 are the slit 5 and the zipper 6. The slit 5 allows the user to open up the purse 1 and access the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 contained within thereof. The slit 5 is positioned above the hollow space 2, the plurality of compartments 4, the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17, the inside underwear pocket 15, and the outer pocket 3. Particularly, the zipper 6 is positioned both coplanarly and collinearly with the slit 5. As mentioned previously, the slit 5 comprises the first edge 9 and the second edge 10. The first edge 9 of the slit 5 is attached laterally to the second edge 10 of the slit 5 via the zipper 6. Therefore, the slit 5 can be closed up by the zipper 6. Specifically, the zipper 6 is attached to the slit 5 or the hem of the purse 1 via a plurality of stitches. Since the slit 5 is positioned above the hollow space 2, the zipper 6 serves as a fastener to join the first edge 9 and the second edge 10 of the slit 5 together to close the hollow space 2 and consequently the purse 1. Once the first edge 9 and the second edge 10 are joined by the zipper 6, the contents or the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 within the bag will not fall out thereof.
  • Attached to the outer lateral surface of either the front side or the back side of the purse 1 is the outer pocket 3. The outer pocket 3 comprises an outer pouch and an outer flap. As shown in FIG. 1, the outer pocket 3 further comprises a snap fastener, which allows the outer pouch to be closed by the outer flap. Specifically, the snap fastener comprises a socket and a press stud. The press stud is adhered to the outer flap whereas the socket is adhered to the outer lateral surface of the outer pouch. Both the press stud and the outer flap are positioned in a corresponding manner wherein the press stud is engaged with the socket when the outer pouch is covered by the outer flap.
  • When the present invention is marketed, the feminine care kit for a locker/backpack is pre-filled and sold with the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 that is useful for a young woman when she is menstruating. As shown in FIG. 3, FIG. 5, and FIG. 7, the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 includes but is not limited to tampons, sanitary napkins, sanitary wipes, towelettes, feminine pads, clean underwear, sanitary bags for soiled underwear. Furthermore, the plurality of feminine hygiene products 17 may be contained within the hollow space 2 without being compartmentalized by the plurality of compartments 4 or the plurality of dividers. In the preferred embodiment, the present invention may have a youthful, feminine appearance indicated by flowers, butterflies, stars and the like. In the preferred embodiment, the length of the purse 1 is 7.5 inches; the width of the purse 1 is 4.5 inches and the depth of the purse 1 is 0.5 inches. The depth of the purse 1 is also the width of either the first narrow side or the second narrow side. These exact dimensions of the present invention may vary.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
