Description
- (1) Field of the Invention
- Golf swing training devices and systems have typically been designed for a specific purpose and have either been used as a portable or stationary device or system. Swing trainers with monitor systems are usually separate from the platform itself and the video of the swing has to be seen after the swing has been delivered. This invention allows the swing to be seen live as it happens and any monitor or camera system can be used and will fit into the housing built into the platform.
- (2) Description of the Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 & 1.98
- The illustrations that follow demonstrate and clearly show the portability, the adjustable platform design, the monitor housing, and the ability to fold the invention into a small and compact design to be carried to any location desired making it separate from any stationary design prior.
- A portable, compact and adjustable apparatus that deploys to assimilate a golf course tee box setting. The apparatus is designed to house and protect a video display panel strategically located at a position that allows the user to view a real time video stream of their body alignment and club position, from address to follow through while maintaining the proper stance to effectively strike a golf ball. The hitting surface adjusts to accommodate a variety of club lengths and ball placements.

Claims (5)
1: The “Portable Golf Swing Training Platform with Video Display Compartment” is comprised of a front section that is a golf ball hitting surface covered by artificial turf with a protected enclosure for inserting a video display panel and accessories connected to a weight bearing back standing section that join together on a sliding position guide at a hinged point wherein the two sections work in tandem to form a condition for storage and portability and to deploy as a platform deck to simulate a golf range tee box environment.
2: The platform comprises an artificial turf covering affixed to the top of the front and back sections to emulate a natural grass setting that adds a padded natural ground surface feel and effect.
3: The Platform adjusts to place the tee ball holder forward or back in a golfer's stance to accommodate the club selection and stance distance nearer to or further back from the ball by using the sliding position guide.
4: The platform further comprises of an enclosed compartment to house a video monitor that when connected to a camera(s) or camcorder(s) that are focused on the golfer in their swing position give a real time viewpoint to the golfer allowing the golfer to instantly adjust the swing to a more proper position.
5: The platform uses a slide prevention stop and a locking mechanism to prevent the platform from opening when in its folded and compact position.
