Abstract

A ball net is provided, which includes two poles, a top net, a tilting bottom net, a decelerating catcher, and a collecting sack. Each of the two poles are bent and crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings, one of which provides a target opening portion configured for hulling a ball. The tilting bottom net is provided at a low portion of the space surrounded by the zenith point and the four ends of the two poles, and the tilting bottom net is tilted toward a front of the ball net. The decelerating catcher is provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball. The collecting sack is disposed at a front portion of the tilting bottom net for receiving the ball rolling down on the tilting bottom net and keeping inside.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a ball net with sack for use in various sports such as baseball, golf, etc. More specifically, the present invention relates to a ball net, which can catch and collect balls conveniently.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention aims to provide a portable, lightweight, and easy to use exercise platform by which users can practice various sports activities.
  • An aspect of the present invention provides a ball net, which includes two poles, a top net, a tilting bottom net, a decelerating catcher, and a collecting sack.
  • Each of the two poles are bent with two ends fixed to a floor, wherein the two poles are crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings, and one of the four side openings provides a target opening portion configured for hulling a ball therein.
  • The top net covers three of the four side openings except for the target opening portion.
  • The tilting bottom net is supported by the four ends of the two poles and provided at a low portion of the space surrounded by the zenith point and the four ends of the two poles, and the tilting bottom net is tilted toward a front of the ball net.
  • The decelerating catcher is provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball.
  • The collecting sack is disposed at a front portion of the tilting bottom net for receiving the ball rolling down on the tilting bottom net and keeping inside.
  • Each of the two poles may comprise a plurality of pole sections that are configured to be assembled into a long pole and disassembled into separate sections.
  • The decelerating catcher may comprise a net or a fabric, and the net may be fixed to and hung down from two locations of the two poles so as to be disposed behind the target opening.
  • The decelerating catcher may be integrated with the top net.
  • The top net may be attached to the portions of the two poles through a plurality of flanges, each of which including a queue-through hole.
  • The top net may be integrated with the tilting bottom net.
  • The top net and the tilting bottom net may be integrated along sewing lines.
  • The top net may comprise one or more straps, each of which having a first end attached to one of the sewing lines and a second end for fixing to the floor for disposing the tilting bottom net taut.
  • The ball net may further comprise: a front bottom blocking edge portion disposed along a front portion of the tilting bottom net for stopping balls rolling down the tilting bottom net; and a collecting hole provided in the front bottom blocking edge portion.
  • The collecting sack may be fitted to the collecting hole, and the tilting bottom net may be tilted such that the balls rolling down are guided into the collecting sack.
  • The collecting sack may comprise net.
  • The collecting sack may be detachable.
  • The collecting sack may be attached around the collecting hole through a plurality of fastening devices.
  • The plurality of fastening devices may comprise a plurality of loop-and-hook fasteners.
  • The collecting sack may be attached around the collecting hole permanently.
  • The collecting sack may comprise a retrieving folded hole disposed on a top surface of the collecting sack.
  • The ball net may further comprise one or more pole-holding straps disposed between top portions of the neighboring poles so as to hold the two poles crossed at the zenith point in place.
  • The advantages of the present invention are: (1) the ball net is convenient to collect balls; and (2) the collecting sack of the ball net is easy to attach and detach.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • FIGS. 1-4 show a ball net according to an embodiment of the invention, and FIG. 5 shows a perspective view of a collecting sack of a ball net according to another embodiment of the present invention.
  • An aspect of the present invention provides a ball net 100 as shown in FIGS. 1-4.
  • An aspect of the present invention provides the ball net 100.
  • The ball net 100 includes two poles 10, 20, a top net 30, a tilting bottom net 40, a decelerating catcher 50, and a collecting sack 60.
  • Each of the two poles 10, 20 are bent with two ends 12, 14, 22, 24 fixed to a floor, wherein the two poles 10, are crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings between neighboring portions of the two poles 10, 20, and one of the four side openings provides a target opening portion configured for hulling a ball 90 therein.
  • The top net 30 covers three of the four side openings except for the target opening portion, which catches the balls 90 flying in through the target opening portion. The tilting bottom net 40 is supported by the four ends 12, 14, 22, 24 of the two poles 10, 20 and provided at a low portion of the space surrounded by the zenith point and the four ends 12, 14, 22, 24 of the two poles 10, 20, and the tilting bottom net 40 is tilted toward a front of the ball net 100 as indicated by to dashed lines, which guides the balls 90 fallen on the tilting bottom net 40 toward the collecting sack 60.
  • The decelerating catcher 50 is provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball 90 as shown in FIG. 6. In certain embodiments of the invention, the decelerating catcher 50 is provided deep inside the target opening portion such that the balls do not bounced back out through the target opening portion after hitting the decelerating catcher 50.
  • The exact location or angle of the decelerating catcher 50 may be adjusted for that purpose.
  • The collecting sack 60 is disposed at a front portion of the tilting bottom net 40 for receiving the ball rolling down on the tilting bottom net 40 and keeping inside.
  • Each of the two poles 10, 20 may comprise a plurality of pole sections (not shown) that are configured to be assembled into a long pole and disassembled into separate sections.
  • The decelerating catcher 50 may comprise a net or a fabric, and the net may be fixed to and hung down from two locations of the two poles 10, 20 so as to be disposed behind the target opening portion as shown in FIG. 6.
  • The decelerating catcher 50 may be integrated with the top net 30, especially at a portion of one of the four side openings, which is in the opposite to the target opening portion. Therefore, the part of the top net 30 at the rear center can be worked as a place where the balls hit and are decelerated to stop and fall down on the tilting bottom net 40.
  • The top net 30 may be attached to the portions of the two poles 10, 20 through a plurality of flanges 70, each of which including a queue-through hole 72.
  • The top net 30 may be integrated with the tilting bottom net 40.
  • The top net 30 and the tilting bottom net 40 may be integrated into one net along sewing lines 32 at the border between the two nets.
  • The top net 30 may comprise one or more straps 34, each of which having a first end attached to one of the sewing lines and a second end for fixing to the floor for disposing the tilting bottom net 40 taut.
  • The ball net 100 may further comprise: a front bottom blocking edge portion 80 disposed along a front portion of the tilting bottom net 40 for stopping balls rolling down the tilting bottom net 40; and a collecting hole 82 provided in the front bottom blocking edge portion 80.
  • The collecting sack 60 may be fitted to the collecting hole 82, and the tilting bottom net 40 may be tilted such that the balls rolling down are guided into the collecting sack 60.
  • The collecting sack 60 may comprise net.
  • The collecting sack 60 may be detachable.
  • The collecting sack 60 may be attached around the collecting hole 82 through a plurality of fastening devices (not shown). The plurality of fastening devices may comprise a plurality of loop-and-hook fasteners.
  • The collecting sack 60 may be attached around the collecting hole 82 permanently, for example by sewing or glue. Actually, they can be integrated with each other.
  • The collecting sack 60 may comprise a retrieving folded hole 62 disposed on a top surface of the collecting sack 60 as shown in FIG. 5. The top surface of the collecting sack 60 is slit, for example, horizontally to the general direction of the front bottom blocking edge portion 80 and the portion close to the ball net 100 is extended more below the other portion, such that in a normal situation the retrieving folded hole 62 is effectively closed by the overlapped portions and the balls 90 in the collecting sack 60 can be retrieved easily by pushing in a hand, grabbing, and taking out the balls.
  • The ball net 100 may further comprise one or more pole-holding straps 74 disposed between top portions of the neighboring poles 10, 20 so as to hold the two poles 10, 20 crossed at the zenith point in place as shown in FIG. 1.
  • In certain embodiments of the invention, the one or more pole-holding straps 74 may be attached to and disposed between the flanges 70 in top portions of the neighboring poles 10, 20. In the illustrated embodiment, the ball net 100 includes two pole-holding straps 74 in opposing top portions around the zenith point.
  • While the invention has been shown and described with reference to different embodiments thereof, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that variations in form, detail, compositions and operation may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the accompanying claims.

Claims (16)

1. A ball net comprising:
two poles, wherein each of the two poles are bent with two ends fixed to a floor, wherein the two poles are crossed at a zenith point forming four side openings, and wherein one of the four side openings provides a target opening portion configured for hulling a ball therein;
a top net covering three of the four side openings except for the target opening portion;
a tilting bottom net supported by the four ends of the two poles and provided at a low portion of the space surrounded by the zenith point and the four ends of the two poles, wherein the tilting bottom net is tilted toward a front of the ball net;
a decelerating catcher provided inside the target opening for reducing speed of, stopping, and dropping the ball; and
a collecting sack disposed at a front portion of the tilting bottom net for receiving the ball rolling down on the tilting bottom net and keeping inside.
2. The ball net of claim 1, wherein each of the two poles comprises a plurality of pole sections that are configured to be assembled into a long pole and disassembled into separate sections.
3. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the decelerating catcher comprises a net or a fabric, wherein the net is fixed to and hung down from two locations of the two poles so as to be disposed behind the target opening.
4. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the decelerating catcher is integrated with the top net.
5. The ball net of claim 1, wherein the top net is attached to the portions of the two poles through a plurality of flanges, each of which including a queue-through hole.
6. The ball net of claim 5, wherein the top net is integrated with the tilting bottom net.
7. The ball net of claim 6, wherein the top net and the tilting bottom net are integrated along sewing lines.
8. The ball net of claim 7, wherein the top net comprises one or more straps, each of which having a first end attached to one of the sewing lines and a second end for fixing to the floor for disposing the tilting bottom net taut.
9. The ball net of claim 1, further comprising:
a front bottom blocking edge portion disposed along a front portion of the tilting bottom net for stopping balls rolling down the tilting bottom net; and
a collecting hole provided in the front bottom blocking edge portion,
wherein the collecting sack is fitted to the collecting hole,
wherein the tilting bottom net is tilted such that the balls rolling down are guided into the collecting sack.
10. The ball net of claim 9, wherein the collecting sack comprise net.
11. The ball net of claim 9, wherein the collecting sack is detachable.
12. The ball net of claim 11, wherein the collecting sack is attached around the collecting hole through a plurality of fastening devices.
13. The ball net of claim 12, wherein the plurality of fastening devices comprise a plurality of loop-and-hook fasteners.
14. The ball net of claim 9, wherein the collecting sack is attached around the collecting hole permanently.
15. The ball net of claim 14, wherein collecting sack comprises a retrieving folded hole disposed on a top surface of the collecting sack.
16. The ball net of claim 1, further comprising one or more pole-holding straps disposed between top portions of the neighboring poles so as to hold the two poles crossed at the zenith point in place.
