Abstract
A hair styler is used for conditioning, drying, and curling hair, comprising a cylindrical hair styler body with a hair curling lever on the hair styler. A handle is coaxially provided on one end of the hair styler body. A micro motor is provided in the handle. The said micro motor drives the hair styler body to relatively rotate about the handle alongside its axis. The handle is disposed of control switch controlling rotation of control motor; the heat generated by energization of the hair styler body or that is set up in the hair styler body directly heats up the electric heater adjacent to the hair styler body. The invention features advantages such as easy operation as well as functions of hair curling, drying, conditioning, and scalp care.
Description
- The subject invention involves a kind of hair styler functioning hair conditioning, drying, and curling.
- At the time of haircut, the hair always needs to be styled. For a general styling method, the hair dresser or another person holds a hair curler by one hand and a hair dryer by another hand. The person holding the haircut tool first curls the hair of the person having his hair cut (the “client”) with hair curler. Then, he uses a hair dryer to direct toward the curled hair for styling by blowing hot air. In this hair styling method, another person's assistance is not only necessary, but also the employed hair dryer features high power consumption and high noise, always resulting in bad feeling to the client for a long time. Additionally, there is a kind of commonly used noise-free hair straightening method generally including a cylindrical plastic hair curler at present. When using, the hair is curled on the curler then the curled hair is heated and styled with heating cover. This curler needs the other people's help for curling and needs to be provided with heating cover for hair styling. Therefore, it will not apply to household use. In general, it is used in a hair salon. In addition, this curler is only designed with hair curling function, without automatic drying and scalp care. It is only designed with single function.
- China Patent Literature CN2891771Y discloses an electric hair curler, including motor-driven rotary hair brush and a group of hot air delivery fan mounted on the handle. This curler is provided with hot air delivery fan, which features high noise and low thermal utilization rate.
- The technical problem to be solved in the invention is that a kind of hair styler functioning hair conditioning, drying, and curling is provided, which may be independently operated by the hair curling operator and is basically of noise-free pollution.
- The invention is for another purpose that this hair styler may also emit far infrared ray, featuring very good care to human scalp and/or hair.
- The technical solution of the invention is to provide a hair styler functioning hair conditioning, drying, and curling, comprising a cylindrical hair styler body, provided with a hair curling lever on the said hair styler, characterized in that a handle is coaxially provided on one end of the said hair styler body, that a micro motor is provided in the said handle, that the said micro motor drives the said hair styler body to relatively rotate about the said handle alongside its axis, that the said handle is disposed of control switch controlling rotation of control motor; the heat generated by energization of the said hair styler body or that is set up in the said hair styler body directly heats up the electric heater adjacent to the said hair styler body.
- The said air styler body is made of material able to emit far infrared ray under heat. When the said hair styler body is heated up to preset temperature, the said hair styler body will emit far infrared ray
- The said hair styler body is made of metallic material. The said metallic hair styler body is disposed of several far infrared ray generators made of material able to emit far infrared ray under heat or the outside surface of the hair styler body is provided with a far infrared ray generating cladding made of material able to emit far infrared ray under heat. When the said hair styler body is heated up to preset temperature, the said hair styler body will emit far infrared ray.
- The hair styler body will generate heat when the said hair styler body is energized to generate heat because the said hair styler body is made of vitrified pipe and the said vitrified pipe is disposed of electric membrane and the said electric membrane will generate heat after energization.
- The said handle is disposed of an overloading protection means preventing excessively pulled hair.
- The fan blades connected to the said micro motor output shaft are mounted in the hair styler body or in the handle installed on the joint between the said hair styler body and the said handle. The said hair styler body is provided with air outlet and the said handle is disposed of air inlet. When the micro motor rotates, the fan blades blow the air in the hair styler body out of the air outlet.
- The material able to emit far infrared ray under heat is made of far infrared vitrified pipe.
- The material able to emit far infrared ray under heat is made of quartz.
- The material able to emit far infrared ray under heat is made of Al2O3.
- The said air curling level is disposed of insulated ball end.
- The material able to emit far infrared ray under heat is made of tourmaline powder.
- The material able to emit far infrared ray under heat is made of tourmaline powder.
- The said curling lever is replaced by hair curling wool;
- The said hair curling wool is artificial wool, the said artificial wool is made of nylon added with 1%-15% (Wt %) tourmaline powder.

- In the invention, the curler is driven by a micro motor. The hair curler handle is disposed of control switches. When a user independently curls his hair, only operate one of control switches to rotate the hair styler body and the user's hair may be properly curled. When it is necessary to uncurl, operate the other switch to reverse the curler and the hair may easily be uncurled. The hair styler body is designed to be directly heated or with an electric heater within it for the purposes of drying, conditioning, and with bad feeling to client due to noise generated from air dryer. Fan blades are provided in the hair styler body or in the handle, which may auxiliarily dry hair. This air only dissipates the evaporated moisture generated when the hair is dried by far infrared ray under high temperature, of which volume and noise is far lower than those of conventional air dryer, basically without noise. In addition, the said hair styler body is made of material able to emit far infrared ray or the hair styler body is provided with inlaying or cladding material able to emit far infrared ray. Thus, the hair styler body will generate far infrared ray after it is heated up to the preset temperature. Therefore, it is good to care of human scalp. Meanwhile, in the invention, the hair styler body is directly contacted with hair. Using far infrared ray to dry and evaporate may cause energy saving and low carbon. It overcomes the problem that the conventional air dryer relies on instantaneous contact between air and electric heater but only partial heat may be available as well as that hair is impaired by oxygen ion. The hair curling lever can also generate far infrared line after it is heated, which may function care to human hair.

- Please refer to
FIG. 1 .FIG. 1 shows the structural schematic view of the first embodiment. The invention reveals a kind of hair styler functioning hair conditioning, drying, and curling, including cylindricalhair styler body 1. The saidhair styler body 1 is disposed of hair curling level 2. Thehandle 3 is coaxially provided on one end of the saidhair styler body 1. The micro motor 4 is provided in the saidhandle 3. The said micro motor 4 drives the saidhair styler body 1 to relatively rotate about the saidhandle 3 alongside its axis. The saidhandle 3 is disposed ofcontrol switch 31 controlling rotation of control motor,temperature control switch 32 andelectric fan switch 33. In this embodiment, the saidhair styler body 1 is an infrared ray vitrified pipe which may generate heat when it is heated up to the preset temperature. The said infrared ray vitrified pipe is disposed of electrically heating membrane. The said electrically heating membrane may be connected to power supply to heat the saidhair styler body 1 through heat generation from the electrically heating membrane after energization. In this embodiment, the said electrically heating membrane is disposed of an insulated layer for prevention of short circuit. In order to ensure that the electrically heating membrane keeps energized when thehair styler body 1 is rotating, structure similar to motor carbon brush may be provided between on both ends of the electrically heating membrane and on both ends of power line so that thehair styler body 1 may rotate and the electrically heating membrane can also keep energized. The said hair curling level 2 provided on thehair styler body 1 is also made of material which may generate infrared ray under heat. In order to prevent damaged human scalp directly by hair curling level 2, the insulated ball end 21 is provided on the outer end of the said hair curling level 2. In this embodiment, the structure of the saidhandle 3 connected to thehair styler body 1 is as follows: The bearing 5 is provided on the outer wall on the end, which is connected tohair styler body 1, of the saidhandle 3. The saidhair styler body 1 is rigidly connected to the bearing 5. The output shaft of the micro motor 4 is rigidly connected to the inner wall of thehair styler body 1. Thus, the rotary micro motor 4 may drive thehair styler body 1 to relatively rotate about thehandle 3. When the user needs to curl hair, he only moves thecontrol switch 31 on the FORWORD position for hair curling. On the other hand, hair uncurling may be done. In this embodiment, thecontrol switch 31 is a light-contact switch. Lightly press it for one time to rotate forward, for two times to reverse, and for three times to power off. After the hair is curled as required, press thetemperature switch 32 and the hair may be conditioned. Thetemperature switch 32 may be provided with several positions. Each position corresponds to different temperature ranges to accommodate different hair styles. If single air drying is needed, the electricair fan switch 33 may be moved to ON position for good drying effect while thetemperature control switch 32 is moved to ON position. The fan blades connected to the output shaft of the said micro motor 4 are mounted in thehair styler body 1 or in thehandle 3 installed on the joint between the saidhair styler body 1 and the saidhandle 3. The saidhair styler body 1 is provided with air outlet and the saidhandle 3 is disposed of air inlet. When the micro motor 4 rotates, the fan blades blow the air in thehair styler body 1 out of the air outlet. The electric fan (not shown) in the invention will not cause any noise pollution to client due to its very low power and low noise. The saidhandle 3 may be disposed of an overloading protection means preventing excessively pulled hair. This overloading protection means may be a micro torque limiter. When thehair styler body 1 relatively rotates about the handle by an angle, the micro torque limiter enables to prevent excessively pulled hair. - Obviously, in order to accommodate the needs of different people, such as male or female, long hair or short hair, the invention may be also designed as follows: The hair curling lever provided on the said hair styler body is replaced by curling levers or hair curling cylinders with different lengths. The said cylinder may be replaceably sleeved on the said hair styler body. That is, hair curling levers or hair curling cylinders with different lengths and/or diameters may be designed. The cylinders may be used for different people (as needed).
- Please refer to
FIG. 2 . It is the second embodiment of a hair styler functioning hair conditioning, drying, and curling, comprising a cylindricalhair styler body 1. The saidhair styler body 1 is made of metallic material. The saidhair styler body 1 is disposed of far infrared ray generator 11 made of material generating far infrared ray under heat. The said hair styler body is disposed of electric heater 6. The said electric heater 6 is tightly provided on the inner wall of the said hair styler body to directly heat up the saidhair styler body 1. When the said electric heater 6 is heated, the said far infrared ray generator 11 will emit far infrared ray. The saidhair styler body 1 is disposed of hair curling lever 2. The end of the curling lever 2 is disposed of insulatedball end 21. One end of the saidhair styler body 1 is disposed ofhandle 3. The said 3 is disposed of micro motor 4. The saidmicro motor 1 drives the saidhair styler body 1 to relatively rotate about the saidhandle 3. The saidhandle 1 is disposed ofcontrol switch 31 controlling rotation of micro motor 4. - The fan blades (not shown, alternatively provided in the handle) connected to the output shaft of the said micro motor 4 are mounted in the
hair styler body 1 installed on the joint between the saidhair styler body 1 and the saidhandle 3. The saidhair styler body 1 is provided with air outlet (not shown) and the saidhandle 3 is disposed of air inlet (not shown). When the micro motor 4 rotates, the fan blades blow the air in thehair styler body 1 out of the air outlet. - Please refer to
FIG. 3 .FIG. 3 shows the structural schematic view of the third embodiment. Compared to the embodiment as shown inFIG. 2 , that inFIG. 3 has approximately the same structure. The difference is that the outside surface of thehair styler body 1 is dispose of far infraredray generating layer 12 made of cladding material which may emit far infrared ray under heat. When the saidhair styler body 1 is heated up to the preset temperature, the far infraredray generating layer 12 on the saidhair styler body 1 will emit far infrared ray. - In the above-mentioned embodiments, the said material which can emit far infrared ray under heat may be vitrified material which can emit far infrared ray under heat, or quartz material which can emit far infrared ray under heat, or Al2O3 material which can emit far infrared ray under heat, etc. These materials which may generate far infrared ray may also have effect generating negative ion
- The above-mentioned material which can emit far infrared ray under heat may alternatively be said tourmaline material which can emit far infrared ray under heat, or tourmaline powder material which can emit far infrared ray under heat.
- Obviously, the said curling lever is replaced by hair curling wool. The said hair curling wool is artificial wool, the said artificial wool is made of nylon added with 1%-15% (Wt %) tourmaline powder.
- Fabrication of artificial wool: Weight Percentage;
- Nylon 99% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 1%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as nylon wire, just cut as required.
- Nylon 96% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 4%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as nylon wire, just cut as required.
- Nylon 93% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 7%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as nylon wire, just cut as required.
- Nylon 90% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 10%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as nylon wire, just cut as required.
- Nylon 88% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 12%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as nylon wire, just cut as required.
- Nylon 85% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 15%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as nylon wire, just cut as required.
- The said hair styler body is made of high temperature resistant hard plastic added with 1%-15% (Wt %) tourmaline powder.
- Fabrication of hair styler body: Explanation is made with hard high-temperature-resistant plastic which is a kind of polyimide and resistant to temperature of 300° C., as an example. Weight percentage;
- Polyimide 99% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 1%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as cylindrical shape by injection molding
- Polyimide 96% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 4%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as cylindrical shape by injection molding
- Polyimide 93% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 7%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as cylindrical shape by injection molding
- Polyimide 90% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 10%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as cylindrical shape by injection molding
- Polyimide 88% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 12%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as cylindrical shape by injection molding
- Polyimide 85% tourmaline powder (size of 300 and over) 15%, melted and mixed evenly, manufactured as cylindrical shape by injection molding
- The said tourmaline powder contains the following components in Wt %: B2O3 10%-15%; SiO2 30%-35%; Fe2O3 1%-3%; AL2O3 32%-36%;
CaO 1%-3%; MgO 9%-14% K2O 0.5%-1% Na2O 2%-5% TiO 2 1%-3%. - Tourmaline powder (all the components having size of 300 meshes and over):
- B2O3 10%; SiO2 30%; Fe2O3 3%; AL2O3 36%;
CaO 3%; MgO 9% K2O 1% Na2O 5%;TiO 2 3%. The above-mentioned may be used immediately after they are evenly mixed. - Tourmaline powder (all the components having size of 300 meshes and over):
- B2O3 13%;
SiO 2 33%; Fe2O3 2%; AL2O3 32%; CaO 2.5%; MgO 14% K2O 0.5% Na2O 2%;TiO 2 1%. The above-mentioned may be used immediately after they are evenly mixed. - Tourmaline powder (all the components having size of 300 meshes and over):
- B2O3 15%; SiO2 30%; Fe2O3 1%; AL2O3 36%;
CaO 1%; MgO 9% K2O 1% Na2O 5%; TiO2 2%. The above-mentioned may be used immediately after they are evenly mixed. - Tourmaline powder (all the components having size of 300 meshes and over):
- B2O3 10%; SiO2 35%; Fe2O3 3%; AL2O3 33%;
CaO 1%; MgO 9% K2O 1% Na2O 5%;TiO 2 3%. The above-mentioned may be used immediately after they are evenly mixed.
Claims (20)
1. A hair styler used for conditioning, drying, and curling hair, consists of a cylindrical hair styler body that is mounted a hair curling lever, a handle that is coaxially installed on one end of said hair styler body, a micro motor that is installed inside of said handle, and an electric heater that is installed inside of said hair styler body or adjacent to said hair styler body; said hair styler body being able to relatively rotate around said handle alongside its axis which is operated by said micro motor; a switch being mounted on said handle to control the rotation of said hair styler body.
2. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said hair styler body is made with a substance being able to emit far infrared ray, and said hair styler body is able to emit far infrared ray when the temperature of said hair styler body is heated up as preset.
3. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said hair styler body is fully made with metallic material mounted with several far infrared ray generators which are made with a substance being able to emit far infrared ray when a heat is provided; or the surface of said hair styler body is installed with a far infrared ray generating cladding that is made with said substance being able to emit far infrared ray when a heat is provided; said hair styler body is able to emit far infrared ray when the temperature of said hair styler body is heated up as preset.
4. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said hair styler body is made with a vitrified pipe that is installed an electric membrane that is able to generate heat when electric power is provided; then, said hair styler body is able to generate heat when said hair styler body is supplied with electric power.
5. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said handle is mounted an overloading protection device that prevents hair being excessively pulled.
6. The hair styler according to claim 1 , fan blades, connected with output shaft of said micro motor, are installed inside said hair styler body or said handle at the joint between said hair styler body and said handle; said hair styler body having an air outlet; said fan blades blows the air out from said hair styler body via said air outlet when said micro motor is rotating.
7. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said curling level is installed an insulated ball end.
8. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said hair curling lever is able to be replaced by hair curling wool.
9. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said curling lever is able to be replaced by hair curling wool that is artificial wool that is made by mixing nylon with 1%-15% (Wt %) tourmaline powder.
10. The hair styler according to claim 1 , said hair curling lever mounted on said hair styler body is changeable with various hair curling levers or cylinders with different lengths and/or different diameters, said cylinder that is sleeved on said hair styler body is able to be replaced.
11. The hair styler according to claim 2 , said substance, being able to emit far infrared ray when the heat is provided, is made of a far infrared vitrified pipe.
12. The hair styler according to claim 2 , said substance, being able to emit far infrared ray when the heat is provided, is made of quartz.
13. The hair styler according to claim 2 , said substance, being able to emit far infrared ray when the heat is provided, is made of alumina (Al2O3).
14. The hair styler according to claim 2 , said substance, being able to emit far infrared ray when the heat is provided, is made of tourmaline powder.
15. The hair styler according to claim 2 , said substance, being able to emit far infrared ray when the heat is provided, is a tourmaline powder.
16. The hair styler according to claim 9 , the percentage of compounds by weight of said tourmaline powder is as following: 10%-15% of boron trioxide (B2O3); 30%-35% of silica (SiO2); Fe2O3 1%-3% of iron oxide (Fe2O3); 32%-36% of alumina (AL2O3); 1%-3% of calcium oxide (CaO); 9%-14% of magnesium oxide (MgO); 0.5%4% of dipotassium oxide (K2O); 2%-5% of disodium oxide (Na2O) and 1%-3% of titanium oxide (TiO2).
17. The hair styler according to claim 9 , said curling lever is able to be replaced by a hair curling wool that is an artificial wool that is made by mixing nylon with 1%-15% (Wt %) tourmaline powder.
18. The hair styler according to claim 9 , said hair curling wool is an artificial wool that is made by mixing nylon with 1%-15% (Wt %) tourmaline powder.
19. The hair styler according to claim 15 , the percentage of compounds by weight of said tourmaline powder is as following: 10%-15% of boron trioxide (B2O3); 30%-35% of silica (SiO2); Fe2O3 1%-3% of iron oxide (Fe2O3); 32%-36% of alumina (AL2O3); 1%-3% of calcium oxide (CaO); 9%-14% of magnesium oxide (MgO); 0.5%4% of dipotassium oxide (K2O); 2%-5% of disodium oxide (Na2O) and 1%-3% of titanium oxide (TiO2).
20. The hair styler according to claim 18 , the percentage of compounds by weight of said tourmaline powder is as following: 10%-15% of boron trioxide (B2O3); 30%-35% of silica (SiO2); Fe2O3 1%-3% of iron oxide (Fe2O3); 32%-36% of alumina (AL2O3); 1%-3% of calcium oxide (CaO); 9%-14% of magnesium oxide (MgO); 0.5%4% of dipotassium oxide (K2O); 2%-5% of disodium oxide (Na2O) and 1%-3% of titanium oxide (TiO2).
