Abstract
This invention provides a board-style personal flotation and swimming device that has raised, soft sides that is intended to aid the user in keeping the torso and upper body on the board. This invention can assist experienced users in swimming while placing a small child/toddler/infant on their torso, on the board. This invention also contains varied number of elongated water squirting devices that are attached to the board, along the length of the board, below the surface of the water for recreational purposes, such as projectile water games wherein a stream of water is used as a projectile.
Description
- This application claims priority from: U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 61/399,876 entitled “Liquidation Flotation” and filed Jul. 20, 2010. The disclosure of this provisional patent application is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

- 1. Field to which the Invention Pertains
- This invention is intended to serve as an aquatic recreational personal flotation and swimming device for use in swimming pools, lakes and other bodies of water.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Flotation and swimming devices, such as kickboards or floating rafts, are well known for use in recreational water activities. Squirting devices are popular swimming tools. Kickboard designs have been previously lacking support for smaller, younger users and the recreational components that make for a more recreational pool or swimming experience.
- Typical devices of this field are shown, for example, in the following United States of America patents:
- U.S. Pat. No. 6,872,111, Katz, et al.
- U.S. Pat. No. 7,264,522, Lee, et al.

- D382933, Foulke
- U.S. Pat. No. 7,798,876, Mix
- U.S. Pat. No. 5,766,052, Metro, et al.
- Though such floatation boards and recreational devices have achieved considerable popularity and commercial success, there has been a continuing need for improvement to allow for a larger variety of users and increased recreational value.
- Liquidation flotation is a pool toy for swimming and games. It is a floating device provides support for the upper body and that has water cannons attached to the underside of the floating device.
-
FIG. 1 depicts a plan view of the board-like flotation device with underlying spray nozzles in accordance with the present invention. -
FIG. 2 depicts a front view of an accessory in perspective of the user of the liquidation flotation portraying the ability to squirt at fixed, tangible objects (balls, bowling pins) in order project these tangible objects through a hoop. - A personal board-like flotation and swimming device that includes raised, soft sides of varied heights composed of a suitable which may provide stability and support to an individual grasping, laying on top of, resting or holding on to the device within water during a recreational activity, and a varied number of squirting devices are attached below the surface of the water, and span the length of the board. The squirting device can be used alone as water cannons to squirt a stream of water, or in combination with other recreational water games as tangible projectiles. A small child, toddler or infant, can rest their entire upper body on the board, allowing the legs to dangle behind, while an experienced care-giver can push the board around the water from behind the child. This allows for the experienced user to be present to provide physical support for the young user. The present invention can also be used as an instructional device for beginner swimmers, as the caregiver can alter the amount assistance provided to the beginner, allowing the beginner to become comfortable in the swimming environment. Furthermore, this present invention can serve to assist new parents or child care providers with the ability to swim behind the main user, being a small child. This provides bonding time for care-giver and child, as well as the ability to exercise while not being distracted from child-care duties. This present invention is therefore aimed for users of all ages.
- The above and still further objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent upon consideration of the following descriptions and descriptive figures of specific embodiments thereof, wherein like reference numerals in the various figures are utilized to designate like components. While these descriptions go into specific details of the invention, it should be understood that variations may and do exist and would be apparent to those skilled in the art based on the descriptions herein.
