Description
- This U.S. non-provisional patent application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. §119 of Korean Utility Model Application No. 20-2010-0005904, filed on Jun. 7, 2010, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference.
- The present disclosure herein relates to a belly-covering underwear for covering a belly to keep the belly warm, and more particularly, to a belly-covering underwear that can tightly adhere to a belly without slipping down or folding down when a user wears the belly-covering underwear and an outer garment such as a shirt, by including a front cover part keeping the belly warm and an elastic ring coupled to the upper end of the front cover part and fixing the elastic ring to a button of the outer garment.
- Generally, it has been known that keeping a human belly warm is helpful to digestion, evacuation, and sleep, and is beneficial to health.
- However, since a user lives or sleeps without wearing an upper garment in hot summer, the user may undergo a stomach upset due to a longtime exposure of the belly. Even when a user wears an upper garment and works in an air-conditioned office for a long time, the user may catch cold or suffer from a stomach upset due to a sudden drop of body temperature. Also, during a change of season or winter, there are many cases where the health is damaged because the belly could not be kept warm.
- A belly-cover for covering the belly is disclosed in Korean Utility Model No. 20-0349786. The belly-cover has been proposed to enhance wearing comfort in compliance with the shape of a user's body, and allow the belly-cover to be always at fixed state without movement of the belly-cover during wearing.
- However, a typical belly cover is not sufficiently adhered to the belly, and thus needs to be improved for sufficient adhesion to the belly. Also, its performance needs to be improved to stay a front cover part on the belly without turning aside during wearing.
- The present disclosure provides a belly-covering underwear that can be conveniently worn, sufficiently adhered to the belly, and well located on the belly without turning aside during wearing.
- Embodiments of the present invention may provide a belly-covering underwear including: a front cover part covering a belly of a human body; a binding part coupled to the front cover part at both sides thereof to adhere the front cover part to the belly; and an upper elastic ring formed of elastic material and provided on a center of an upper portion of the front cover part.
- In some embodiments, the belly-covering underwear may further include a lower elastic ring formed of elastic material and provided on a lower portion of the front cover part.
- In other embodiments, the belly-covering underwear may further include an elastic adhesion auxiliary part along an edge of the front cover part.
- In still other embodiments, the front cover part may include a pocket.
- The accompanying drawings are included to provide a further understanding of the present invention, and are incorporated in and constitute a part of this specification. The drawings illustrate exemplary embodiments of the present invention and, together with the description, serve to explain principles of the present invention. In the drawings:
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a front view illustrating a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a rear view illustrating a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention; and -
FIG. 4 is a view illustrating a detachable part of a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention. - Exemplary embodiments of the present invention will be described below in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The present invention may, however, be embodied in different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein. Rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will be thorough and complete, and will fully convey the scope of the present invention to those skilled in the art.
-
FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention.FIG. 2 is a front view illustrating a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention.FIG. 3 is a rear view illustrating a belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 through 3 , a belly-covering underwear may include afront cover part 20 and a bindingpart 30. Thefront cover part 20 may cover a belly of a human body, and may be formed to incline in compliance with the shape of a human body. Also, the belly-covering underwear may further include an elastic adhesionauxiliary part 21 provided on the edge of thefront cover part 20. The elastic adhesionauxiliary part 21 may be formed of elastic material, and may have a lace pattern to enhance aesthetic effect. - The
binding part 30 may be coupled to both right and left ends of thefront cover part 20. Thebinding part 30 may be wound around a user to adhere and fix thefront cover part 20 to the belly of the user. Thebinding part 30 may includefixing parts 31 fixed to both ends of the belly-covering underwear, respectively, and adetachable part 32 that is detachable from thefixing parts 31. -
FIG. 4 is a view illustrating thedetachable part 32 of the belly-covering underwear according to an embodiment of the present invention. Each of thefixing parts 31 may be loop-shaped and is formed of elastic material. Thefixing parts 31 may be fixed to the right and left ends of thefront cover part 20, respectively. - The
detachable part 32 may also be formed of elastic material. Thedetachable part 32 may include acoupling member 32 a having a hook to which one of thefixing parts 31 is fitted, and alength control member 32 b for adjusting the length thereof. While it is illustrated that thefixing parts 31 are provided on both ends of the belly-covering underwear in the drawings, thefixing part 31 may alternatively be provided only on one end of the belly-covering underwear. In such case, the corresponding one end of thedetachable part 32 may include acoupling member 32 a having a hook to which thefixing part 31 is fitted, and the other end of thedetachable part 32 may be permanently fixed to thefront cover part 20. - The
length control member 32 b may include any kind of typical means that can adjust the length of a string or a cord. - On the other hand, an upper
elastic ring 41 may be coupled to the upper end of thefront cover part 20, and a lowerelastic ring 42 may be coupled to the lower end of thefront cover part 20. - When a user wears the belly-covering underwear, the upper
elastic ring 41 may be fitted to a button on an outer garment such as a shirt to prevent thefront cover part 20 from slipping down or folding down. - When a woman wears the belly-covering underwear, the upper
elastic ring 41 may be fitted to a button that is prepared on a brassiere, allowing thefront cover part 20 to adhere to the belly even when the woman wears an outer garment without a button. - The lower
elastic ring 42 may be coupled to a button of men's underwear to allow thefront cover part 20 to spread downward and sufficiently cover the lower part of the belly. In recent years, since many men's underwear includes buttons, wearing of the belly-covering underwear together with such men's underwear may enhance the adhesion to the belly and prevent thefront cover part 20 from folding around in clothes. - The
front cover part 20 may include apocket 22 on the front side thereof. Thepocket 22 may be formed by attaching a separate cloth to the front side of thefront cover part 20 that is formed of single cloth. Thepocket 22 may also be formed by sewing a portion of thefront cover part 20 including lining and shell. - On the other hand, various medical or cosmetic packs such as hot packs or medical plant packs may be put into the pocket. In this case, the
pocket 22 may be opened upward, or may be opened or closed by a fastener such as zipper. - In the present embodiment, a heater may be mounted in the
front cover part 20. The heater may include a small-sized heating mat, but embodiments are not limited thereto. For example, the heater may include any type of unit capable of emitting heat using power sources such as small-sized dry cells or rechargeable batteries. Accordingly, a power supply unit for operating the heater may be a small-sized dry cell or a rechargeable battery. - Also, the belly-covering underwear according to the present invention may help mineral matters beneficial to health to be in contact with the belly to concentrate energy on the lower abdomen, and may enhance a heat-preserving effect by adding a piece of leather.
- On the other hand, the
front cover part 20 may be combined with heat-preserving, heat-generating, and energy-generating materials using natural or far infrared functional fibers. - Hereinafter, a process of wearing the belly-covering underwear will be described in detail.
- A user may fit one of the fixing
parts 31 to acorresponding coupling member 32 a on one end of thedetachable part 32, and then may locate thefront cover part 20 on the belly. Then, the user may wind thedetachable part 32 around his/her waist to fit the remaining fixingpart 31 to thecoupling member 32 a on the other end of thedetachable part 32. - Then, the user wears an outer garment and fits the
elastic ring 41 to a button of the outer garment. Thus, an upper portion of thefront cover part 20 may be maintained flat to adhere to the belly. - In case of women, a button may be sewed on the center of a brassier to allow the upper
elastic ring 41 to be fitted thereto. - On the other hand, when a man wears underwear with a button, the lower
elastic ring 42 may be fitted to the button to allow a lower portion of thefront cover part 20 to be always spread out. - According to an embodiment of the present invention, the front cover part can be sufficiently adhered to the belly, and can be located on the belly without being turned aside or folded up and down.
- Also, a belly-covering underwear that is conveniently worn and separately washed can be provided.
