Abstract

The Flower Courier is designed to assist in transporting flowers in a vase or in a pot. The device provides an efficient method of getting a flower arrangement safely and conveniently to the car from the flower shop. More importantly, it provides a worry-free ride from the parking lot to one's destination. The device will eliminate the hassle of trying to keep the arrangement erect while driving. The product is able to effectively secure the flowers or plants in place, preventing the arrangements from tipping over, losing water, and becoming damaged. The unit is also collapsible, providing for easy storage. The Flower Courier can serve as an alternate storage unit when not being used to transport flowers.

Description

  • This invention is designed to ease the burden and inconvenience of transporting floral arrangements contained in a vase (some potted plants too). The Flower Courier provides for safe and convenient transport of the vase/flower arrangement from the store to the car but, more importantly, it provides a worry free ride from the parking lot to your destination.
  • Now, either one or more or all of the following happen when transporting floral arrangements in vases: floral arrangement in vase tips over in the car, driver is preoccupied with the vase/floral arrangement, driver holds the vase/floral arrangement with one hand while driving with the other, driver watches the road with one eye and watches the vase/floral arrangement with the other eye, etc. Neither of these scenarios is safe. As a matter of fact they're all very dangerous. Hey, I've done it myself. I understand. That's why I invented The Flower Courier. The Flower Courier will alleviate these issues.
  • The Flower Courier is a small, lightweight container designed specifically to transport up to two small to medium size vases/flower arrangements at a time but it can also be used to store small items. It can be transported and stored very easily (trunk of car, closet or dresser drawer at home . . . ). It is made mainly of polyester material (skin) and thin plastic inserts (⅛″) as support
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
  • FIG. 1
  • DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING
  • The unit consists of the following:
      • a) Four sides—polyester skin with plastic inserts.
      • b) Bottom—polyester material with a zipper that runs diagonally to collapse unit for easy storage and transport, no plastic insert, zipper will have a polyester loop on it to move the zipper from the inside, the zipper can also be moved from the bottom of the unit by pushing or pulling it
      • e) Top—polyester material with two 5″ holes that can expand to 7″ for the vase/flower arrangements, there will be a clip on the two corners opposite the attached side to clip into polyester loops located on those corners, the top will provide stability for the vases, the 7″ holes will have a drawstring built into them to adjust to the size of the vase so the vase stays in place, no plastic insert
      • d) Flap for bottom—a flap will be attached to one of the long sides of the bottom of the unit, it will serve as support for the bottom/base of the unit and as protection for the bottom of the vase, it will be made of a polyester skin with a plastic insert the flap will have a polyester pull on it so the flap can be pulled up (to collapse unit) or down (to support base/bottom).

Claims (4)

1) I claim this invention will help people transport flowers (potted or vase) in a more convenient and safe manner, provide storage for miscellaneous items, and be easily stored out of the way in a small space.
2) The invention, The Flower Courier, serves several purposes—transports flowers, stores items, etc.
3) The Flower Courier is convenient because it is designed to carry multiple vases in one unit and because it is easily stored in the car (seat floor or trunk) while being transported and because it collapses and stores in very little space.
4) The Flower Courier promotes safety because it maintains itself while being transported in a vehicle so the driver doesn't have to keep an eye on the flowers while driving.
