Abstract

The invention relates to a bag that comprises two large compartments. The suitcase can be pulled by means of casters. The pouch can be removed, and all elements can be separated from each other.

Description

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application is an U.S. national phase application under 35 U.S.C. §371 based upon co-pending International Application No. PCT/IB2009/005194 filed on Apr. 6, 2009. Additionally, this U.S. national phase application claims the benefit of priority of co-pending International Application No. PCT/IB2009/005194 filed on Apr. 6, 2009, and Switzerland Application No. 134706 filed on Feb. 28, 2008. The entire disclosures of the prior applications are incorporated herein by reference. The international application was published on Sep. 3, 2009 under Publication No. WO 2009/106989.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a tennis bag with removable sports bag for use in connection with athletes for carrying items in removable compartments.
2. Description of the Prior Art
The use of bags having removable compartments is known in the prior art. The bags have disadvantages that the present invention overcomes.
While the above-described devices fulfill their respective, particular objectives and requirements, the aforementioned patents do not describe a tennis bag with removable sports bag that allows an athlete to carry items in removable compartments.
Therefore, a need exists for a new and improved tennis bag with removable sports bag that can be used for carry items in removable compartments. In this regard, the present invention substantially fulfills this need. In this respect, the tennis bag with removable sports bag according to the present invention substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of the prior art, and in doing so provides an apparatus primarily developed for the purpose of carry items in removable compartments.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of bags now present in the prior art, the present invention provides an improved tennis bag with removable sports bag, and overcomes the above-mentioned disadvantages and drawbacks of the prior art. As such, the general purpose of the present invention, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a new and improved tennis bag with removable sports bag and method which has all the advantages of the prior art mentioned heretofore and many novel features that result in a tennis bag with removable sports bag which is not anticipated, rendered obvious, suggested, or even implied by the prior art, either alone or in any combination thereof.
The tennis bag with its removable sports bag is manufactured in leather for adults, and in PVC-material for juniors.
The tennis bag is composed of:

- a trolley suitcase,
- a large compartment holding two rackets,
- a large compartment with its laundry bag for wet sportswear,
- a removable sports bag for packing tennis shoes and accessories,
- two adjustable shoulder straps with a pouch for inserting a mobile phone and an iPod™,
- an address tag,
- closing member studded with rhinestones.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated.
Numerous objects, features and advantages of the present invention will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art upon a reading of the following detailed description of presently preferred, but nonetheless illustrative, embodiments of the present invention when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. In this respect, before explaining the current embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of descriptions and should not be regarded as limiting.
As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception, upon which this disclosure is based, may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a new and improved tennis bag with removable sports bag that has all of the advantages of the prior art bags and none of the disadvantages.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a new and improved tennis bag with removable sports bag that may be easily and efficiently manufactured and marketed.
An even further object of the present invention is to provide a new and improved tennis bag with removable sports bag that has a low cost of manufacture with regard to both materials and labor, and which accordingly is then susceptible of low prices of sale to the consuming public, thereby making such tennis bag with removable sports bag economically available to the buying public.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a new tennis bag with removable sports bag that provides in the apparatuses and methods of the prior art some of the advantages thereof, while simultaneously overcoming some of the disadvantages normally associated therewith.
Even still another object of the present invention is to provide a tennis bag with removable sports bag for carry items in removable compartments. This allows an athlete to carry all their equipment in a 3 in 1 bag.
These together with other objects of the invention, along with the various features of novelty that characterize the invention, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating advantages and the specific objects attained by its uses, reference should be made to the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated preferred embodiments of the invention.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the tennis bag with removable sports bag constructed in accordance with the principles of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the removable sports bag of the tennis bag with removable sports bag of the present invention.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the removable compartment of the tennis bag with removable sports bag of the present invention.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the trolley suitcase of the tennis bag with removable sports bag of the present invention.

The same reference numerals refer to the same parts throughout the various figures.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring now to the drawings, and particularly to FIGS. 1-4, a preferred embodiment of the tennis bag with removable sports bag of the present invention is shown and generally designated by the reference numeral 10.
In FIG. 1, a new and improved tennis bag with removable sports bag 10 of the present invention for carrying items in removable compartments is illustrated and will be described. More particularly, the tennis bag with removable sports bag or suitcase 10 is a 3 in 1 item having a removable sports bag 12, a bag 30 removably attached to the sports bag 12, and a trolley suitcase 40 removably attached to the sports bag 12.
The sports bag 12 includes a handle 14, at least two adjustable shoulder straps 16, and a compartmented interior. The handle 14 has an address tag 20 thereon, and the shoulder straps 16 have a pouch 18 for carrying a personal item, such but not limited to, a mobile phone or an MP3 player. The sports bag 12 also features closing member 22 that can be studded with rhinestones, with the closing member being, but not limited to, a zipper, a clip mechanism, snap hook, eyelet, Velcro, or any other system suitable for the purpose of closing.
The sports bag 12 may include, but is not limited to, a large compartment 24 having a laundry bag for wet sportswear, and a large compartment 26 for holding two racquets. The sports bag 12 can be made out of any soft material, such as but not limited to, leather, PVC, synthetic cloth, natural cloth, or any other material suitable for the purpose.
The bag 30 is of similar construction to the sports bag 12, and is removably attached to the sports bag 12 by a closing member 32. The closing member 32 can be studded with rhinestones, and is located along a periphery of one side, with the closing member that being, but not limited to, a zipper, a clip mechanism, snap hook, eyelet, Velcro, or any other system suitable for the purpose of closing. The closing member 32 of the bag 30 engages with a corresponding closing member located on a side of the sports bag 12. When the trolley suitcase 40 is attached to the sports bag 12, the bag 30 is adjacent to the area where the shoulder straps 16 attach to the sports bag 12, and the trolley suitcase 40. The interior of the bag 30 has compartments for separately packing items therein. The bag 30 can be made out of any soft material, such as but not limited to, leather, PVC, synthetic cloth, natural cloth, or any other material suitable for the purpose.
The trolley suitcase 40 is removably attached to the sports bag 12 by a closing member 48, which can be studded with rhinestones. The closing member 48 that can be, but not limited to, a zipper, a clip mechanism, snap hook, eyelet, Velcro, or any other system suitable for the purpose of closing. The trolley suitcase 40 has at least two rollers 42, a handle 44, and an interior cavity 46. The interior cavity 46 is configured by side walls to define a sunken interior to receive clothes. The removable bag 30 is of similar construction to the sports bag 12. The closing member 48 is located along a periphery of a free end of the sidewalls that define the interior cavity 46, and are engaged with a corresponding closing member located on a bottom side of the sports bag 12 opposite the handle 14, shoulder straps 16, and the closing member 22. The handle 44 is retractable into the trolley suitcase 40.
The trolley suitcase 40 is manufacture in, but not limited to, aluminum for resistance while on the move, and is covered in leather and in a PVC-material.
The overall finish of the tennis bag with removable sports bag is beautiful and solid. The interior is wholly protected by a special thermal barrier and lined with a biological textile made out of bamboo fibre. The back of the tennis bag is quilted for a feeling of comfort. Both the bag and the trolley are light and very easy to handle.
The tennis bag with its removable sports bag is 100% Swiss-made. It is manufactured in a workshop in Geneva by a craftsman.
The tennis bag with removable sports bag is also available in PVC for juniors and in a different range of colors.
The bag may receive a personal touch by the inscription of the tennis player's name on it.
While a preferred embodiment of the tennis bag with removable sports bag has been described in detail, it should be apparent that modifications and variations thereto are possible, all of which fall within the true spirit and scope of the invention. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention. And although carry sport items and equipment have been described, it should be appreciated that the tennis bag with removable sports bag herein described is also suitable for carry any personal items or equipment personal or non-personal.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

6. A separable compartmented bag for athletes, said separable compartmented bag comprising:

a trolley having a base, sidewalls that define an interior cavity, at least one roller, and a handle;

a sports bag removably attachable to a free end of said sidewalls of said trolley, said sports bag having at least two compartments, at least one handle, and shoulder straps; and

a bag removably attachable to said sports bag, said bag having compartments.

7. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 6, wherein an exterior of said trolley being constructed of aluminum including a covering.

8. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 7, wherein said covering is a material selected from the group consisting of leather, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

9. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 8, wherein an interior of said trolley and an interior of at least one compartment of said sports bag further comprising a thermal barrier lined with a biological textile.

10. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 9, wherein said biological textile is bamboo fibre.

11. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 10, wherein said handle of said trolley is retractable into said base of said trolley.

12. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 11, wherein said sports bag being removably attachable to said free end of said sidewalls of said trolley by a closing member located along a periphery of said sidewalls and a closing member located on a bottom side of said sports bag opposite said handle.

13. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 12, wherein said bag being removably attachable to a side of said sports bag by a closing member located along a periphery of a side said bag and a closing member located on said side of said sports bag.

14. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 13, wherein said shoulder straps of said sports bag further comprising a pouch.

15. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 14, wherein said handle of said sports bag further comprising an address tag.

16. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 15, wherein said sports bag further comprising at least a first compartment configured to receive sporting equipment, and a second compartment having a laundry bag.

17. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 16, wherein said sporting equipment is at least two tennis racquets.

18. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 6, wherein said exterior of said trolley, said sports bag and said bag each having a quilted portion.

19. A separable compartmented comprising:

a trolley having a base, sidewalls that define an interior cavity, at least one roller, and a handle retractable into said base, said base and sidewalls being constructed of aluminum including a covering, said base and sidewalls having an interior including a thermal barrier lined with a biological textile;

a sports bag removably attachable to a free end of said sidewalls of said trolley, said sports bag having at least a first compartment configured to receive sporting equipment, a second compartment having a laundry bag, at least one handle, and shoulder straps each including a pouch, said second compartment having an interior including a thermal barrier lined with a biological textile; and

a bag removably attachable to said sports bag.

20. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 19, wherein said biological textile is bamboo fibre.

21. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 19, wherein said covering is a material selected from the group consisting of leather, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

22. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 19, wherein said sports bag being removably attachable to said free end of said sidewalls of said trolley by a closing member located along a periphery of said sidewalls and a closing member located on a bottom side of said sports bag opposite said handle, and wherein said bag being removably attachable to a side of said sports bag by a closing member located along a periphery of a side said bag and a closing member located on said side of said sports bag.

23. A separable compartmented bag comprising:

a trolley having a base, sidewalls that define an interior cavity, at least one roller, a handle retractable into said base, and a closing member located around a periphery of said sidewalls on a free end of said sidewalls;

a sports bag removably attachable to said free end of said sidewalls of said trolley, said sports bag having at least two compartments, at least one handle, shoulder straps, a bottom side closing member located on a bottom side of said sports bag opposite said handle, and a side closing member located on a side of said sports bag adjacent said bottom side, said bottom side closing member being engagable with said closing member of said trolley; and

a bag removably attachable to said sports bag, said bag having compartments, and a closing member located along a periphery of a side of said bag, said closing member of said bag being engagable with said side closing member of said sports bag.

24. The separable compartmented bag according to claim 23, wherein an exterior of said trolley being constructed of aluminum covered with a material selected from the group consisting of leather, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and wherein an interior of said trolley and said second compartment of said sports bag further comprising a thermal barrier lined with bamboo fibre.
