  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • FIGS. 1 through 5 shows a device which is cooperable with a heat apparatus 30, for example but not limited to, a heat apparatus which is utilized to light a substance for smoking or a heat apparatus which is utilized as a glue gun such that a glue stick is fed into the heat apparatus and is heated into a melted form.
  • Regardless of which kind of heat apparatus the device is cooperated with, the device would be effected by heat, then render the heat apparatus to be ignited in a faster manner than has been available in the prior art, particularly in a case when the heat apparatus is reignited after an interval.
  • As an example, FIG. 3 shows that the heat apparatus includes two housing halves including a first housing halve 301 and a second housing halve 302 cooperated with the first housing halve 301 to form a room between which a combustion chamber 31, a fuel can 32 and a nozzle 33 are disposed therein. Because the device is to be heated, so it is disposed in the combustion chamber 31. In particular, the combustion chamber 31 includes a first compartment 311 in which the device is disposed, and which includes a burner disposed therein and connected to the fuel can 32 for heating the device. Furthermore, the combustion chamber 31 includes a first section and a second section, and the device is disposed in the first section while the burner is disposed in the second section, which is disposed adjacent to and in communication with the first section. Further, an edge 313, which extends inwardly from a peripheral wall that delimits the first section of the combustion chamber 31 to a peripheral wall that delimits the second section of the combustion chamber 31, keeps the device in the first section and the device has a distal end abuts against the edge 313.
  • The combustion chamber 31 further includes a second compartment 312 formed adjacent to the first compartment 311 such that the first compartment 311 includes a portion of its outer peripheral wall and the second compartment 312 includes a portion of its outer peripheral wall combined with one another.
  • Therefore, upon the use of this heat apparatus, the glue stick would be fed into the second compartment 312 and melted by heat energy of the device, first compartment 311 of the combustion chamber 31 and burner through conduction. Then, the melted glue could be forced out of the heat apparatus through the nozzle 33, which is connected to and in communication with the second compartment 312 of the combustion chamber 31.
  • As to the device, the device includes a catalytic member 10 that increases the speed of combustion process in the most effective way, and which has the advantages of being low-cost and adapted to be manufactured easily and quickly. Accordingly, the catalytic member 10 is formed from a single continuous piece of material, and which preferably has a constant cross section, and the entire piece is meshed. Additionally, the meshed catalytic member 10 includes a mesh body 12 and a plurality of mesh holes 11 defined therein. Each of the plurality of mesh holes 11 is of a size including a length “L1” which is the longest that can be measured in accordance with the first direction of the catalytic member 10. Furthermore, the catalytic member 10 includes two opposing lateral edges and a middle portion extending between the two opposing lateral edges in a second direction which crosses the first direction. The middle portion includes a plurality of rolls formed and of that one extends from another in an uninterrupted course successively. Moreover, the middle portion are rolled in a manner that this particular roll which defines the outer circumferential edge of the catalytic member 10 and each of the rolls therein are disposed in a spaced relationship.
  • The device further includes a sleeve 20 a which conductivity is not as good as the catalytic member 10 but this physical property makes it conserve heat energy better than the catalytic member 10, and which is built in a shape that renders the heat apparatus to be ignited in a faster manner than has been available in the prior art, particularly in a case when the heat apparatus is reignited after an interval. Accordingly, the sleeve 20 a is cooperated with the catalytic member 10 such that it encloses and contacts with the outer circumferential edge of the catalytic member 10. In this embodiment, the outer circumferential edge is substantially circular, and the sleeve 20 a has a peripheral wall which contacts with the outer circumferential edge of catalytic member 10 in a substantially circular shape, and which extends in a radial angle at least 180 degrees such that it has a greater surface contact for heat conduction and stable connection with the catalytic member 10. • In addition, the gaps 22 a in the sleeve 20 a make it resilient and in this regard, the sleeve 20 a can be mounted on the catalytic member 10 in an easier way. Likewise, the sleeve 20 b includes a through slit 23 b extending therealong. In this regard, the through slit 23 b makes the sleeve 20 b resilient and enable it to be mounted on catalytic member 10 in an easier way.
  • In view of forgoing, one advantage of the present invention is that the catalytic member 10 increases the speed of combustion process in a cooperated heat apparatus in the most effective way, and which has the advantages of being low-cost and adapted to be manufactured easily and quickly. Another advantage of the present invention is that the sleeves 20 a and 20 b conserve heat energy better than the catalytic member 10, and each of which is built in a shape that renders the heat apparatus to be ignited in a faster manner than has been available in the prior art, particularly in a case when the heat apparatus is reignited after an interval. Yet another advantage of the present invention is that each of the sleeves 20 a and 20 b has the advantages of being low-cost and adapted to enable effective heat ventilation and adapted to be manufactured easily and quickly.
  • While the specific embodiments have been illustrated and described, numerous modifications come to mind without significantly departing from the spirit of invention and the scope of invention is only limited by the scope of accompanying claims.

a sleeve, which has a physical property which enables it to conserve heat energy better than the catalytic member, including a peripheral wall enclosing and contacting with an outer circumferential edge of the catalytic member such that the heat apparatus can be reignited quickly by heat energy conserved by the sleeve after an interval.
16. The device as claimed in claim 15 wherein the catalytic member is meshed entirely.
17. The device as claimed in claim 16 wherein the catalytic member includes a mesh body and a plurality of mesh holes defined therein, and wherein each of the plurality of mesh holes is of a size including a first length which is the longest that is measured in accordance with a longitudinal direction of the catalytic member, and wherein the sleeve includes a plurality of sleeve bodies disposed in accordance with the longitudinal direction of the catalytic member and of that two adjacent sleeve bodies are separated by a gap, and with the mesh holes that correspond to the gaps being exposed, and wherein one of the plurality of sleeve bodies and one of the plurality of gaps that separates this sleeve body from adjacent sleeve body have a second length measured in accordance with the longitudinal direction of the catalytic member, with this gap having a length greater than a length of this body, and with the second length being greater than the first length.
18. The device as claimed in claim 17 wherein the catalytic member includes a mesh body and a plurality of mesh holes defined therein, and wherein each of the plurality of mesh holes is of a size including a first length which is the longest that is measured in accordance with a longitudinal direction of the catalytic member, and wherein the sleeve includes a sleeve body disposed in accordance with the longitudinal direction of the catalytic member, and wherein the sleeve body includes a plurality of through holes defining a plurality of groups and of that each group includes through holes disposed axially along the peripheral wall of the sleeve body, and with the mesh holes that correspond to the through holes being exposed, and wherein one of the plurality of through holes and a portion of the sleeve body that is formed between this through hole and one adjacent through hole have a third length measured in accordance with the longitudinal direction of the catalytic member, and with the third length being greater than the first length.
19. The device as claimed in claim 15 wherein the catalytic member includes two opposing lateral edges and a middle portion extending between the two opposing lateral edges in a direction, and wherein the middle portion includes a plurality of rolls formed and of that one of the plurality of rolls extends from another in an uninterrupted course successively, and wherein the plurality of rolls includes one roll defining the outer circumferential edge of the catalytic member, and with the rest of the rolls curved inside this roll.
20. The device as claimed in claim 19 wherein the middle portion are rolled in a manner that the roll which defines the outer circumferential edge of the catalytic member and each of the rolls therein are disposed in a spaced relationship.
