Abstract

A curtain element for a toilet bowl lower area has two curtain members spaced from one another in a transverse direction and adapted to be located at both sides of a toilet bowl, two pockets each attached to a respective one of the curtain members, and two attaching members each configured to support each of the curtain members together with a respective one of the pockets on the toilet bowl.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to elements for storing objects in the area of a toilet bowl.
Various devices and elements are known for these purposes. It is believed that the existing devices can be further improved.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a toilet bowl curtain element which is an improvement of the existing devices of this type.
In keeping with these objects and with others which will become apparent hereinafter, one feature of the present invention resides, briefly stated, in a curtain element for a toilet bowl lower area, comprising two curtain members spaced from one another in a transverse direction and adapted to be located at both sides of a toilet bowl; two pockets each attached to a respective one of said curtain members; and two supporting members each configured to support each of said curtain members together with a respective one of said pockets on the toilet bowl.
The novel features which are considered as characteristic for the present invention are set forth in particular in the appended claims. The invention itself, however, both as to its construction and its method of operation, together with additional objects and advantages thereof, will be best understood from the following description of specific embodiments when read in connection with the accompanying drawings.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

As shown in FIG. 1 a curtain element for a toilet bowl lower area includes two curtain members which are identified with reference numerals 1. Two pockets 2 and 3 are attached to the curtain members at outer sides. The curtain members can be composed of any material, for example fabric, plastic, etc. The pockets 2 and 3 can also be composed of the same or different materials.
As shown in FIG. 2, the pocket 2 is configured for accommodating bottles 4 and a toilet bowl cleaning brush 5. The toilet bowl cleaning brush 5 can be first received in a special container 6 which in turn is received in part of the pocket 2. The bottles also can be first placed in a small container which then is introduced into the pocket 2.
The pocket 3 is configured for receiving the text materials such as newspapers and magazines 8, and for receiving a telephone 9. For this purpose, it can be subdivided into two compartments.
The curtain members are provided with elongated channels 10. Attaching elements 11 extend through the channels and have a fastening portion 12 which is formed as a loop, through which a bolt for attaching the cover of the toilet to the seat of the toilet can pass. The fastening portions 12 can be formed as a wire or rod.
Similar channels 13 are provided at the lower edge of the curtain members 2 and 3. A tightening element 14, such as for example a rope, extends through the channels 13 and its two ends extend outwardly beyond the channels.
After the curtain element with the two curtain members positioned around a toilet 15 at its lower area is placed correspondingly, the tightening element 14 is pulled and its ends are tied together to attach the curtain element to the toilet bowl.
It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together, may also find a useful application in other types of constructions differing from the type described above.
While the invention has been illustrated and described as embodied in a toilet bowl curtain element, it is not intended to be limited to the details shown, since various modifications and structural changes may be made without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
Without further analysis, the foregoing will so fully reveal the gist of the present invention that others can, be applying current knowledge, readily adapt it for various applications without omitting features that, from the standpoint of prior art, fairly constitute essential characteristics of the generic or specific aspects of this invention.

Claims

1. A curtain element for a toilet bowl lower area, comprising two curtain members spaced from one another in a transverse direction and adapted to be located at both sides of a toilet bowl; two pockets each attached to a respective one of said curtain members; and two attaching members each configured to support each of said curtain members together with a respective one of said pockets on the toilet bowl.

2. A curtain element as defined in claim 1, wherein each of said attaching members has a fastening portion attachable to a bolt for connecting a toilet cover to a toilet seat.

3. A curtain element as defined in claim 1, wherein said fastening portion is formed as a loop configured to surround the bolt.

4. A curtain element as defined in claim 1, wherein said at least one of said pockets is configured for floor storing at least two objects selected from the group consisting of a telephone, a printed matter, a bottle, and a toilet bowl cleaning brush.

5. A curtain element as defined in claim 4, wherein the other of said pockets is configured for folding two other of said objects.

6. A curtain element as defined in claim 1; and further comprising means for attaching said curtain members to a toilet bowl and including a tightening element extending through channels provided in said curtain members and having two ends which can be tied together, so as to tighten the curtain members around a toilet bowl.
