Description

    CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED PATENTS
  • Continuation in part of Provisional Patent Application 60/956,184 filed Aug. 16, 2007, now abandoned.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention is related to objects that are used to hold multiple garments on a single hanging device.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • There exist numerous methods of hanging multiple articles of clothing utilizing one device. The purposes of these devices are to allow the user to conserve space in an environment, but still allow for identification of the various garments that are being displayed. One particular device, utilizes multiple clips attached to single horizontal bar, wherein said clips allow for the attachment of multiple garments to a single form. Another device allows for the attachment of different types of garments to a single hanger that permits the securing of a shirt and pants.
  • However, there are no methods of that allow for the hanging of multiple garments of the same type that still allow visual recognition of the different garments so being displayed, and that provide ease of both placement on the device and their removal from the device.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In order to overcome the disadvantages of prior art, a hanger is hereby invented that is comprised of a base tube, said base tube of a vertical orientation, of a length with a attachment device incorporated into said base tube that allows for the invention to be secured to a horizontal bar. The invention is further comprised of multiple sliders, which are horizontal bars also of a length, whereby said sliders traverse through the horizontal bar. This invention enables multiple garments, such as tank tops, to be secured over the sliders such that one garment may be secured to opposing ends of the slider.
  • In the preferred embodiment of this invention, a single structure is molded, whereby said structure is comprised of a single vertically oriented base tube, wherein there is an attachment device secured to a single end of said support bar, whereby said attachment device is a coat hook, and wherein there are at least two sliders that extend from both sides of said base tube. In another preferred embodiment of this invention, there is a single vertically oriented base tube, an attachment device secured to one end of said base tube, and at least two sliders, wherein said sliders further comprise a flanged edge.
  • In another preferred embodiment of this invention, there is a single vertically oriented base tube, wherein said base tube is comprised of at least two sets of holes, an attachment device secured to one end of the vertical bar, and at least two removable slider bars, whereby said sliders are placed through said holes to extend outward from said base tube, and wherein said sliders further comprise a removable end cap, whereby said end caps prevent the accidental removal of said sliders. Still further, said sliders may be further comprised of recessed grooves, whereby said groves maintain the placement of any garments on said sliders.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE INVENTION
  • FIG. 1 shows a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 shows a detail of a preferred embodiment of the attachment mechanism.
  • FIG. 3 shows another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Turning to the drawings, FIG. 1 depicts a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an exemplary device for hanging multiple garments being a molded structure that has a vertical base tube 10, whereas the vertical base tube 10 supports six horizontal sliders 11 that extend from one side of the vertical base tube 10 to the other side of the vertical base tube 10. Also FIG. 1 shows an method of attaching the invention to a fixed position, which method is comprised of an attachment hook 13. The intent of the hook system 13 is such that the present invention can be attached to a horizontal pole or book, such as those that may be found in a closet.
  • The horizontal sliders 11 shown in FIG. 1 are designed and intended for supporting a garment, and further that there are six horizontal sliders 11, the present invention is designed and intended to support multiple garments. FIG. 1, also depicts end caps 12 that are place on the outside ends of the horizontal sliders 11. In this preferred embodiment of this invention, the end caps 12 are included to provide a method of stopping any garments that are being supported on a horizontal slider 11 from inadvertently becoming dislodged from the horizontal slider 11. This embodiment of the present invention is designed such that twelve separate garments may be help on the same apparatus which the intent of the invention to maintain that each individual slider 11 may support a separate garment.
  • Turning to FIG. 2, a detail schematic of the attachment hook system 13 is shown being supported against a support bar 15, whereby the support bar 15 represents a cross section view of a horizontal closet bar. In this FIG. 2, hook system 13 is designed such that rotation is enabled through the inclusion of method of providing for the rotation of vertical base tube 10. This embodiment of the invention is accomplished through hook system being comprised of swivel hook 16, retaining cap 17, hole 18, and washer 19. In the manufacture of this hook system 13, the straight end 19 of hook 16 is place trough hole 18 that is placed through retaining cap 17. Washer 19 is then secured around strait end 19 and thereby preventing the accidental removal or dislodging of swivel hook 16 from retaining cap 17. This embodiment of the present system allows the device to swivel in a 360 degree motion and furthering the ease of use in its intended application of a garment hanger.
      • FIG. 3 depicts another preferred embodiment of the present invention, wherein this embodiment is comprised of vertical base tube 10, horizontal support bars 20 and hook system 13. In this embodiment, each horizontal support bar 20 comprises a swivel system 2 1, whereas said swivel system 21 enables the support bar 20 to be rotated up to 360 degrees. This embodiment of horizontal support bar 20 is intended to add functionality to the present invention and simplify the use of the present invention. In this embodiment, hook system 13 may be designed to permit base tube 10 to rotate up to 360 degrees.
