Description
- This utility model relates to a type of mechanical limiting device, in particular a drawer anti-slipout mechanism with handle limiting jam bar that can effectively prevent self-slipout of drawer and ensure safe and reliable operation.
- At present, storage cabinets with drawers used in mobile tool boxes, vehicles and office desks are easy to use since drawers can be easily pulled out when not locked. However, such drawers have poor anti-joggling performance and may easily slip out. In addition, slipout of drawers often results in fall of the whole cabinet, hence overall working reliability and safety are poor and such cabinets are only suitable for stable environment. To prevent free slipout of drawers and improve drawer safety, locks are commonly used. However, the need of key to open drawers brings about many inconveniences in actual use, e.g. broken or loss of key will cause trouble and if drawers are not locked due to negligence, accident may occur. For this reason, key-free mechanical limiting and locking mechanism utilizing handle for drawer control (opening and locking) has been invented. In practice, it has been found that handle structure of such drawer limiting and locking mechanism is not fully reasonable. Since handle itself has no limiting mechanism, if excessive force is used, handle may easily hit cabinet frame and hook plate may touch drawer bottom plate. Therefore, improvement is required from the point of view of practicality.
- The purpose of this utility model is to provide a new type of drawer anti-slipout mechanism with handle limiting jam bar that can automatically lock the drawer when closed, prevent self slipout of drawer, and allow free exertion of force by user when opening the drawer.
- Main body of drawer anti-slipout mechanism with handle limiting jam bar of this utility model comprises drawer handle plate, lock hook plate, hinge, spring, drawer panel and limiting block, characterized by said drawer handle plate being in the shape of “” strip consisting of middle main plane, hand control bent side and assembling bent side. Edge of said hand control bent side is folded toward inside by 180 degrees. On said assembling bent side, hinge mounting hole, lock hook plate mounting hole and spring limiting tappet mounting hole are provided. On lower edge of assembling bent side at left and right ends, “L” shaped assembling notch is provided. Main body of lock hook plate is in the shape of “L” and this plate comprises a straight mounting plate with positioning assembling hole and a hook plate with upward convex buckle hook at upper edge near end and inclined hacking work edge at top end. Said hinge comprises two closure leaves connected by spindle. Main body of drawer panel is in the shape of right angle “Z” and comprises middle main panel and upper and lower bent sides. On the folded edge (toward inside by 180 degrees) of the hand control bent side on drawer handle plate, a decoration strip with a card insertion slot at outer side and a handle limiting jam bar at inner side is also inserted/embedded. Shape of cross section of limiting block is arbitrary, and can be square, round, or other shape facilitating limiting of the buckle hook. Besides, said limiting block can be replaced by limiting pin. Said handle limiting jam bar slightly deflects outward and is fitted on inner side embedded edge of the decoration strip.
- In assembled status, drawer panel is close to drawer front frame plate. Lock hook plate is installed on inner side of assembling bent side on drawer handle plate by means of positioning assembling hole on the straight mounting plate and screws or rivets. One closure leaf of hinge is installed on inner side of drawer front frame plate by screws or rivets, and the other closure leaf is installed on inner side of assembling bent side on drawer handle plate by screws or rivets. Said spring is installed between inner side of assembling bent side on drawer handle plate and inner side of drawer panel via limiting tappet on inner side of assembling bent side on drawer handle plate. The limiting blocks are vertically fixed on positions on drawer hole left and right side walls corresponding to their outer side and buckle side of upward convex buckle hook on end of hook plate when the drawer is pushed in. The decoration strip with handle limiting jam bar is embedded in drawer handle plate edge folded toward inside by 180 degrees. At this time, position of drawer handle plate is limited by hinge, and its middle main plane rests on drawer panel upper vertical folded edge and moves along with the other closure leaf on the hinge. When the drawer is pulled open, spring tension is the main action. Due to position limiting effect of drawer panel upper vertical folded edge on the drawer handle plate middle main plane, the assembling bent side can deflect to the position parallel to drawer panel at most, and when the hand control bent side is pulled by hand, the drawer handle plate drives the spring to rotate around hinge spindle, and hence hook plate on lock hook plate moves down and the handle limiting jam bar deflected outward on decoration strip will touch upper vertical folded edge of “Z” shaped drawer panel, preventing further upward deflection of drawer handle plate, and avoiding collision of drawer handle plate with cabinet frame and hook plate touching bottom of drawer.
- During working, just push drawer inside so that top end inclined hacking work edge of left and right hook plate touches the limiting block and presses down for sliding movement till the limiting block enters inner side of buckle side. At this time, under spring tension, left and right hook plates will bounce upward and will be buckled, so that drawer position will be reliably limited and slipout will not occur. When it is required to pull out the drawer, just pull and raise hand control bent side on drawer handle plate at will, the whole of drawer handle plate will overcome spring tension and deflect around hinge spindle, so that lock hook plate will deflect down in synchronism, lock hook will be disengaged from limiting block, and the drawer will be unbuckled and can be pulled out.
- In the drawer anti-slipout mechanism with handle limiting jam bar of this utility model based on above concepts, since synchronously operating anti-slipout limiting mechanism is provided at left and right near end of drawer panel, under position limiting by handle limiting jam bar on decoration strip embedded on drawer handle plate, deflection of lock hook plate can be ensured within specified limits, so that user can exert free force for operation, and operation reliability and safety are higher. In addition, this anti-slipout limiting mechanism has simple overall structure and involves not many structural members. With the exception of drawer handle plate, decoration trip and lock hook plate that are made-to-order parts, remaining parts such as spring, limiting block and assembling screws etc. are standard parts that can be purchased on market. Therefore, production cost is low. Besides, owing to embedded fitting mode of structural members, drawer internal and external surfaces are smooth and nice-looking, and interference by external environmental factors is less, so that operation is convenient, safe, and reliable, providing apparent economy and practicality. This invention is especially suitable for drawers subject to high working mobility and poor environmental stability.

Among them, main body of saiddrawer handle plate 1 being in the shape of “” strip consisting of middlemain plane 7, hand control bentside 8 and assemblingbent side 9.Edge 10 of said hand control bentside 8 is folded toward inside by 180 degrees. On said assemblingbent side 9,hinge mounting hole 11, lock hookplate mounting hole 12 andspring 4 limitingtappet mounting hole 13 are provided. On lower edge of assembling bent side at left and right ends, “L” shaped assemblingnotch 14 is provided. Main body oflock hook plate 2 is in the shape of “L” and this plate comprises a straight mountingplate 16 withpositioning assembling hole 15 and ahook plate 19 with upwardconvex buckle hook 17 at upper edge near end and inclinedhacking work edge 18 at top end. Saidhinge 3 comprises two closure leaves 20 and 21 connected by spindle. Main body ofdrawer panel 5 is in the shape of right angle “Z” and comprises middlemain panel 22 and upper and lower vertical 23 and 24. Besides, on the folded edge 10 (toward inside by 180 degrees) of the hand control bentbent sides side 8, adecoration strip 26 with acard insertion slot 25 at outer side and a handle limitingjam bar 30 at inner side is also inserted/embedded. Said handle limitingjam bar 30 slightly deflects outward and is fitted on inner side embedded edge of thedecoration strip 26. - In assembled status,
drawer panel 5 is close to drawerfront frame plate 27.Lock hook plate 2 is installed on inner side of assemblingbent side 9 ondrawer handle plate 1 by means of positioning assemblinghole 15 on the straight mountingplate 16 and screws or rivets 29. Oneclosure leaf 20 ofhinge 3 is installed on inner side of drawerfront frame plate 27 by screws or rivets 29, and theother closure leaf 21 is installed on inner side of assemblingbent side 9 ondrawer handle plate 1 by screws or rivets 29. Saidspring 4 is installed between inner side of assemblingbent side 9 ondrawer handle plate 1 and inner side of drawerfront frame plate 27 via limiting tappet on inner side of assemblingbent side 9 ondrawer handle plate 1. The limitingblocks 6 are vertically fixed on positions on drawer hole left and right side walls corresponding to their outer side and buckleside 28 of upwardconvex buckle hook 17 on end ofhook plate 19 when the drawer is pushed in. Thedecoration strip 26 with handle limitingjam bar 30 is embedded in drawer handleplate edge 10 folded toward inside by 180 degrees. At this time, position ofdrawer handle plate 1 is only limited byhinge 3, and its middlemain plane 7 rests ondrawer panel 5 upper vertical foldededge 23 and moves along with theother closure leaf 21 on thehinge 3. When the drawer is pulled open, spring 4 tension is the main action. Due to position limiting effect ofdrawer panel 5 upper vertical foldededge 23 on thedrawer handle plate 1 middlemain plane 7, the assemblingbent side 9 can deflect to the position parallel todrawer panel 5 at most. When the hand control bentside 8 is pulled by hand, assemblingbent side 9 ondrawer handle plate 1 deflects around hinge spindle, drivingspring 4 and hence hookplate 19 onlock hook plate 2 for downward deflection, releasing the drawer. Since the handle limitingjam bar 30 deflected outward ondecoration strip 26 will touch upper vertical foldededge 23 of “Z” shapeddrawer panel 5, preventing further upward deflection ofdrawer handle plate 1, and avoiding collision ofdrawer handle plate 1 with cabinet frame andhook plate 19 touching bottom of drawer. - During working, just push drawer inside so that top end inclined hacking
work edge 18 of left andright hook plate 19 touches the limitingblock 6 and presses down for sliding movement till the limitingblock 6 enters inner side ofbuckle side 28. At this time, underspring 4 tension, left andright hook plates 19 will bounce upward and will be buckled, so that drawer will be reliably locked and slipout will not occur. When it is required to pull out the drawer, just pull and raise hand control bentside 8 ondrawer handle plate 1 at will, the whole ofdrawer handle plate 1 will overcomespring 4 tension and deflect around hinge spindle, so thathook plate 19 will deflect down in synchronism, and upwardconvex buckle hook 17leaves limiting block 6, releasing the drawer, which can be pulled out at this time.
