Abstract
The invention relates to a jug comprising a cylindrical water intake device which is connected to the lid by means of a circular base. According to the invention, one end of the water intake device or tube terminates in a point which is used to pierce or burst a plastic bag full of water. Once the bag has been pierced by the pointed tip of the device, water flows quickly into the container through holes that are provided in the middle section of said device.
Description
- The present invention is related to the field of devices for water, specially the related ones to devices for suctioning water. It refers to a jug having a water intake device consisting in a conventional plastic jug having a tube-shaped device on the lip of said jug, one end portion of said tube-shaped device consists in a conical form and the middle portion of said device having three orifices through which the water enters the jug. As a result of piercing a water bag by the jug device it is caused the water quickly enters the mentioned container.
- At the present time, metal or plastic jugs for storing water or any other drinks consist basically of a conventional container with or without lid, which can be of different forms and sizes. Such containers are very common and do not contribute anything new, because they merely serve for water be spilled to them by just removing the lip and discharging any liquid into same and placing again the lip. The conventional or traditional jugs are widely used in home or commerce, and some of them have a lid so that they are used to contain purified water which is directly poured from big containers with water which operation requires an important effort to hold said containers while the jug is being filled. In addition, due to the weight of said water containers, the supply of water in jugs to prepare drinks on a basis of powder preparations or simply to dispense natural water becomes a problem.
- The novel proposal herein described it is a convenient option for consumers of purified water or any drinks contained in plastic bags, because any person will be able to use the proposed jug. The dispense of liquid will be easier for children, housewives, and ancients or any person having some kind of disability, that is, to use the present invention will be necessary only to use any liquid contained in a bag, for instance, purified water, milk, fruit juices, etc. For using this type of containers or jugs for liquids will suffice only perforating a plastic bag containing water or any other liquid by pressing it against the conical tube-shaped device to perforate said bag, whereby the liquid will be suctioned inside the jug without spilling a drop.
- In order to illustrate clearly the invention, the following drawings are attached:
-
FIG. 1 , is a perspective view of the jug with a water intake device. -
FIG. 2 , is a right side view of the jug with the water intake device. -
FIG. 3 , is a left side view of the jug with a water intake device. -
FIG. 4 , is a front view of the jug having a water intake device. -
FIG. 5 , is a superior view of the jug with a water intake device. -
FIG. 6 , is a multiple view of the jug with water intake device as seen in different angles. -
FIG. 7 , is a view showing a water bag placed over water intake device of jug for perforation. - With reference to the above figures, the jug with a water intake device comprises a container (a) including a lid (b) which has a plastic cylindrical device or tube (c) coupled to it, said device or tube being configured as a conical shaped tip (d) with orifices (e) at the middle portion thereof. The intake device is connected to a plastic circular base (f) joined to the lid (b). A bag (h) containing any desired liquid will be perforated by placing said bag over the conical tip (d), causing the water or liquid enters the container (a) through the orifices (e) without spilling a drop. Once filled said container (a), water can be dispensed by means of a folding dispensing means (g) disposed in the lid. On the other hand, the conical shaped tip has a sharp end to facilitate the piercing of the water bag (h) which will easily be penetrated by the cylindrical device (c), causing the water contained in said bag enters quickly inside the container (a) through the orifices (e) without spilling a drop.
Claims (2)
1. A jug comprising:
a) a water intake device, and
b) a container with a lid,
wherein said water intake device comprises a cylindrical tube or device coupled to the lid by means of a circular base, said device or tube comprising:
a tipped element adapted to perforate a plastic bag with water; and
orifices at the middle portion thereof;
wherein once said bag is perforated by said tipped element, water will begin entering inside the container through said orifices provided at the middle part of the intake device.
2. A jug comprising water intake device according to claim 1 , characterized in that said device can also be foldable and said container may be made in any shape and size.
