Description
- This application makes reference to, incorporates the same herein, and claims all benefits accruing under 35 U.S.C. § 119 from applications earlier filed in the Korean Intellectual Property Office on 29 Aug. 2007 and there duly assigned Serial No. 10-2007-0087325, and filed in the World Intellectual Property Office on 31 Aug. 2007 and there duly assigned Serial No. PCT/KR2007/004196, respectively.
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a press type eyelash curler, and in particular to a press type eyelash curler in which there is provided a cellular phone power connector in a press type eyelash curler which is able to pinch an eyelash and curls the same, so that it is possible to curl using an electric power from a cellular phone. In addition, a curler is formed of a thermal storage member for thereby obtaining a uniform heating with the help of a thermal storage, so that it is possible to prevent an eyelash from being damaged, and a reliable curling can be implemented.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Generally, an eyelash curler has a function for enhancing a beauty look of a woman by providing an eyelash with an artificial waveform, so that a user's eyes can be seen larger.
- The eyelash curler may be classified into a press type eyelash curler which pinches an eyelash, and a roll type eyelash curler which is able to form a wave by rolling up an eyelash while fast heating the same.
- In the eyelash curler, a press type eyelash curler comprises a curling unit for heating an eyelash in a state the eyelash is pinched, a power supply unit for supplying electric power to the curling unit for heating, a controller for controlling the operations of the power supply unit, and a body for accommodating the above elements.
- In the press type eyelash curler, in a state that an eyelash is positioned between a fixed curling unit and a movable curling unit, the heated movable curling unit is pushed upward for thereby pinching the eyelash, so that the eyelash is curled around the pinched portion for thereby forming a certain wave.
- In the above conventional press type eyelash curler, since a battery is mounted in the interior of the same for a power supply, the whole size of the system is large, and since the life span of the mounted battery is limited, an operational power is supplied with below 1.5V, so that a heating temperature of the movable curling unit is low, and a heating time may increase.
- In addition, according to a structure of the curling unit, it is designed to heat while pressing and folding one portion of the eyelash, so that a smooth curve is not obtained in the shape of an eyelash.
- According to the conventional press type eyelash curler, it is impossible to adjust the temperature of the movable curler unit, so that when an artificial eyelash is being worn, a curling work cannot be performed.
- Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to overcome the problems encountered in the conventional art in which it is impossible to perform a desired curling work since an operational power is too low when a self-power unit is mounted. Since one portion of an eyelash is pinched by means of a curling unit, so that a wave is not smooth.
- To achieve the above objects, there is provided a press type eyelash curler which comprises a cellular phone power connector in a press type eyelash curler. In addition, there is further provided a curling unit which is formed of a thermal storage member in a press type eyelash curler.
- In the press type eyelash curler according to the present invention, an electric power of the cellular phone can be used by providing a cellular phone power connector. So, a battery is not needed, so that the size of the curler is minimized. Since a reliable high voltage can be used, there are so many advantages.
- Since a curling unit is formed of a thermal storage member, a uniform heating can be obtained with the help of a thermal storage, so that it is possible to prevent a damage of an eyelash during a curling process, and a reliable curling can be obtained.
- A more complete appreciation of the invention, and many of the attendant advantages thereof, will be readily apparent as the same becomes better understood by reference to the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which like reference symbols indicate the same or similar components, wherein:

phone power connector 400 has a structure similar with a charging connector which is used for charging via a data connector provided at a cellular phone. The upper construction is known and is implemented by those who skilled in the art. So, the detailed descriptions of the same will be omitted. - The operation of the present invention will be described.
- In the press type eyelash curler able to form waves by heating in a state that an eyelash is pinched according to the present invention, when it is needed to curl an eyelash using the present invention in which the power supply unit is formed of a cellular
phone power connector 400 for receiving power from the cellular phone, the cellularphone power connector 400 attached at a backside of thebody 100 is engaged by inserting into a data connector (I/O connector) provided at a lower side of the cellular phone, so that an operation voltage higher than an ordinary battery is supplied to theheater 240 of theoperation curling unit 220 in accordance with a control of the controller. - When the voltage higher than an ordinary battery is supplied to the
heater 240, thethermal storage 221 formed of a ceramic material is fast and reliably heated, and the heat is stored, and the heating is uniformly performed. Since thethermal storage member 221 is made of a ceramic material, it is possible to minimize the damage of the eyelash with the help of a far infrared ray radiation. - In the above state, when the up and down
button 230 provided at a front side of thebody 100 is pushed up, themovable curling unit 220 starts operating and heats and pressurizes the eyelash for thereby forming waves. - At this time, since the fixed
curling surface 211 a of the fixedcurling unit 210 is formed of anelastic curling unit 211, the eyelash can be uniformly pressurized, and the waves are uniform. - In the embodiment of the present invention, since the fixed
curling surface 211 a and themovable curling surface 221 a are formed in curved shapes, it is possible to form a wave shape having a certain curve, not a folded shape. - In the present invention, since the fixed
curling unit 210 is provided with atemperature detector 260, the heating operation by theheater 240 is performed with two stages with an initial operation temperature at which the temperature is heated at below 55 for curling an artificial eyelash, and a curling operation temperature of above 60 for actually curling a natural eyelash. The heating state is indicated via theoperation lamp 270. So, the heating temperature may be differently set depending on an artificial eyelash and an actual natural eyelash. - In a state that the controller of the present invention is connected with a cellular phone, when it is not used for a certain time period, the
operation controller 300 receives a time signal from thetimer 310, and the power supply to theheater 240 is disconnected. So, it is possible to prevent a power loss of the cellular phone. - In the present invention, the
power cable 410 is wound by means of the windingmember 500 and is stored. Thepower connector 400 is attached to a backside of thebody 100, so that a portability and storage of the same are enhanced. - As described above, in the press type eyelash curler according to the present invention, there is provided a cellular phone power connector for using a power of the cellular phone. A battery is additionally not needed in the present invention, and the size of the curler is minimized. Since it is portable, and a voltage of the cellular phone is used, there are many conveniences in use.
- The heating of the thermal storage can be fast performed, and the heating is performed with the thermal storage member formed of a ceramic material, so that an uniform heating can be obtained. In the heating process, the ceramic material of the thermal storage member emits far infrared rays, so that it is possible to minimize the damage of eyelash during the curling process.
- In addition, the fixed curling surface of the fixed curling unit is made of an elastic curling unit, and the eyelash can be uniformly pressurized, so that an uniform wave can be obtained.
- Since the fixed curling surface and the movable curling surface are formed of curved surfaces, a wave curling can be obtained along with a curve, not a folded shape which causes a damage of the eyelash.
- The present invention is provided with a temperature detector, a two-stage temperature control of an initial operation temperature and a curling operation temperature is performed. The heating state is indicated along with an operation lamp, so that it is possible to curl an artificial eyelash, and it is possible to curl an actual natural eyelash based on a user's selection.
- The controller of the present invention is provided with a timer unit for inputting a time signal into an operation controller, so that a power to the heater can be disconnected after a certain time passes, whereby a power loss of a cellular phone can be prevented.
- In addition, the power cable of the present invention is wound and stored, and the cellular phone power connector is attached to a backside of the body, so that the portability and storage are enhanced.
