Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The conventional child's desks are generally rather plain in appearance with all computer components exposed increasing the possibility of damage and misuse, and not space saving.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is therefore the primary objective of the present invention to provide a child desk that is decorative and designed to protect computer accessories (keyboard, mouse, screen, computer, printer) from damage and misuse.
  • It is another objective of the present invention to provide a child desk that is versatile in design such that different themes can be accommodated to compliment a child's room.
  • It is another objective to construct the desk using materials (wood, laminated wood, paint, plexiglass and plastic type materials) that are durable and easily cleaned and maintained.
  • It is still another objective of the present invention to save space by flush mounting a computer screen in the theme panel of the desk and accommodating the need to store the other components to allow the desktop for other uses other than exclusively being used as a “computer only” desk.
  • The objectives, features, functions and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood upon thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. A shows an front view of the present invention.
  • FIG. B shows a back view of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • As shown in FIG. A, a desk embodied in the present invention is composed of a desk top approximately 36 inches(1), a consumer chosen child themed panel, ie: butterfly approximately 36 inches(2) attached to the desk top to support the flush mounted computer screen approximately 20 inch dig(3), keyboard and mouse tray approximately 27 inches(4), a door with lock under the desk for storage approximately 9 inches(5) including a shelf for computer and printer, support panels approximately 23×16 inches(6)under desk perpendicular to desk top and a privacy panel approximately 36×17 inches(7). The keyboard and mouse tray(4) is attached to the desk top(1) with drawer slides.
  • The desk top(1), support panels under desk perpendicular to desk top(6), privacy panel(7) and storage area(5) are connected by a cam and bolt assembly. The consumer chosen themed panel(2) is attached to the desk top by L brackets.
  • As shown in FIG. B, the storage area under the desk(5) is vented to allow proper ventilation for the computer components and includes access to all cords. The flush mounted screen(3) is accessible from the back of the desk for proper installation and is connected by screws in to the frame.
  • The embodiments of the present invention described above are to be deemed in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof.
