It is one object of the present invention to provide a combination furniture, which is detachable and can conveniently be assembled at anyplace. It is another object of the present invention to provide a combination furniture, which has a nice looking and, can be used as a chair, table, or bed as desired.
  • To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, the combination furniture comprises two base frame bars arranged in parallel, the base frame bars each having a plurality of locating notches on a top side thereof and two opposite ends curving smoothly downwards; a plurality of crossbars transversely fastened to the base frame bars to hold the base frame bars in parallel, the crossbars each having two locating notches disposed at a bottom side thereof and respectively engaged with the locating notches of the base frame bars; two support frame bars respectively supported on the base frame bars, the support frame bars each having two opposite ends curving smoothly upwards; a plate member supported on the support frame bars for supporting an external object; and a plurality of rectangular connecting blocks connected between the support frame bars and the base frame bars, the rectangular connecting blocks each having a straight top coupling groove respectively coupled to the support frame bars, and a crossed bottom coupling groove respectively coupled to the intersection between each of the base frame bars and each of the crossbars.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an oblique top elevation of a combination furniture in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the combination furniture in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of a part of FIG. 2, showing the connection relationship among the base frame bar, the support frame bar, the crossbar, and the connecting member.
  • FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of a part of FIG. 2, showing the connection relationship between the seat plate and the back plate.
  • FIG. 5 is a front view of the combination furniture according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 6 is an exploded view of an alternate form of the combination furniture in accordance with the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a combination furniture in accordance with the present invention is shown comprising two base frame bars 1, two support frame bars 2, two crossbars 3, a seat plate 4, a back plate 5, and a plurality of connecting members 6.
  • The two base frame bars 1 are respectively reinforced with at least one layer of metal sheet member 11 to reinforce the structural strength, each having two opposite ends curving smoothly downwards and two locating notches 12 disposed at the top side near the two curved opposite ends.
  • The support frame bars 2 are respectively reinforced with at least one layer of metal sheet member 11 to reinforce the structural strength, each having two opposite ends curving smoothly upwards.
  • The two crossbars 3 are transversely fastened to the base frame bars 1 and arranged in parallel, each having two locating notches 31 disposed at the bottom side and respectively engaged with the locating notches 12 of the base frame bars 1.
  • The seat plate 4 is supported on the support frame bars 2, having two opposite ends curving smoothly upwards.
  • The back plate 5 is shaped like a sharp shuttle, having a plurality of nuts 51 embedded in the bottom side and arranged in a line.
  • The connecting members 6 are rectangular blocks, each having a straight top coupling groove 61 on the top side, and a crossed bottom coupling groove 62 on the bottom side. The straight top coupling groove 61 cuts through two opposite peripheral walls of the respective connecting member 6. The crossed bottom coupling groove 62 cuts through the four peripheral sides of the respective connecting member 6.
  • Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5 and FIGS. 2 and 3 again, during installation, the two crossbars 3 are fastened to the base frame bars 1 to force the respective locating notches 31 into engagement with the locating notches 12 of the base frame bars 1, and then the connecting members 6 are respectively fastened to the intersections between the base frame bars 1 and the crossbars 3 to force the crossed bottom coupling grooves 62 into engagement with the base frame bars 1 and the crossbars 3, and then the two support frame bars 2 are respectively engaged into the straight top coupling grooves 61 of the connecting members 6 and kept in parallel, and then the seat plate 4 is affixed to the support frame bars 2 with wooden pins 7, and then screws 8 are fastened to the seat plate 4 and threaded into the nuts 51 to affix the back plate 5 to the seat plate 4. Further, two armrests 9 may be provided at the two opposite ends (opposite lateral sides) of the seat plate 4.
  • Further, the surfaces of the base frame bars 1 and the support frame bars 2 may be respectively covered with decorative wooden covering strips.
  • FIG. 6 shows an alternate form of the present invention. This embodiment is substantially similar to the embodiment shown in FIG. 1 with the exception that a flat plate member 20 is supported on the support frame bars 2 to substitute for the aforesaid seat plate 4 and back plate 5. The flat plate member 20 can be used as a tabletop or bedplate.
  • Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
