Description
- The present invention regards a display device for ornamental objects. The display device subject of the present invention shall be advantageously employed in the jewellery industry for the display, to the public in an organised manner, of ornamental objects made of precious or semi-precious alloys, in particular made up of chains for bracelets or necklaces.
- Over the years, the industrial sector for the production of jewellery objects has registered growth of advanced technology for the production of ornamental chains, especially those made of precious or semi-precious metal, for making necklaces, bracelets and other objects.
- Such technology has led to manufacturing a very high number of various models each distinguished by its own personalising aesthetic quality.
- More in particular, as known, various chains obtained by arranging sequences of rings concatenated to each other, generally made up of rings made of gold or any other precious material, in which each single ring is engaged on its inner part by one or more other rings of various shapes have been introduced on the market.
- In addition, the chains can have two different faces of which one is visible and one is in contact with the skin having different aesthetic characteristics.
- Alongside deferring in terms of shape and arrangement of the rings, the chains can obviously differ in terms of colour or size of the single rings, or else the wire by means of which they are obtained. Given the wide variety of chains currently available on the market, there is a particular need, in the jewellery industry and particularly by traders of ornamental objects obtained using such chains, of displaying to the customers the various types of chains in an organised manner.
- For this reason, various types of display devices, generally of considerable dimensions adapted to present at least the samples of the current year to the customer, have been made.
- Otherwise, the display devices known up to date have been provided for displaying only the leading chain model given that the other models are displayed for view directly on the counter of the shop.
- The main drawback of these solutions lies in the fact that they do not allow easy comparison of the various aesthetic qualities of the chains to be presented to the customers.
- In addition, in many cases the display devices of the known type are too encumbering and scarcely suitable to bear the advertisement of the manufacturer or any other information regarding the models of the displayed objects.
- In this situation, the main objective of the present invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the art known up to date, providing a display device for ornamental objects, capable of allowing easy comparison of the aesthetic characteristics of the various objects.
- Another objective of the present invention is that of providing a less bulky display device for ornamental objects.
- Further objective of the present invention is that of providing a display device for ornamental objects, easy to manufacture and at low costs.
- Further objective of the present invention is that of providing a display device for ornamental objects, capable of bearing extra information regarding the product in a particularly efficient manner.
- The technical characteristics of the invention, according to the abovementioned objectives, are clearly observable from the contents of the claims outlined below and the advantages of the same shall be clearer in the following description, provided with reference to the drawings attached, which represents its strictly exemplifying and non-limiting embodiment wherein:
-
FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of an embodiment of the display device for ornamental objects subject of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 shows the displaying device ofFIG. 1 with some parts raised to show the others more clearly; -
FIG. 3 shows a display device ofFIG. 1 with some parts raised and with others removed to show others further clearly; -
FIG. 4 shows a possible exploded view of the display device ofFIG. 1 ; -
FIGS. 5 a and 5 b show other possible embodiments of the display device for ornamental objects subject of the present invention. - With reference to the attached drawings, the display device for ornamental objects subject of the present invention is indicated in its entirety by 1.
- The description hereinafter shall refer to a jewellery object such as a necklace, a bracelet or any other similar object comprising a chain, in particular made of precious metal, however being understood that the same chain can also be intended for other embodiments in the jewellery objects industry without for this reason departing from the scope of protection of the present patent right. The links of the chain shall be composed by rings concatenated in such a manner to define at least one main direction of extension indicated by Y in
FIG. 1 . - The
display device 1 comprises aframework 2, capable of being made of various materials among which cardboard or wood and which can be obtained by assembling components in various ways through fixing means such as glue, screws, rivets or any other means. - As an example, proposed in
FIG. 4 is an exploded embodiment of thedisplay device 1, according to which theframework 2 is made up of abase element 3 with a vertical bottom wall 4 onto which two triangular-shaped sides 5 are fixed, for example by means of gluing. Applied on the upper edge of the twosides 5 and of the bottom wall 4 is aframe 6 according to a plane having a slanting position with respect to the horizontal plane. - According to the idea on which the present invention is based, a
support base 7 is provided supported by theframework 2 in a slanting manner for the display of at least oneornamental object 8, which overlaps aconcealed portion 9 of acontainer compartment 10 provided with a plurality ofseats 11 suitable for housing a corresponding plurality ofornamental objects 12, in particular obtained by means of chains with various characteristics, arranged with their respective parallel chains for at least a portion thereof. - The
ornamental object 8 is preferably withheld on thesupport plane 7 through one or morewithholding elements 30 made up for example of rings fixed or fixable onto the plane at suitable positions to allow to perform the adjustments on the length of the chain of theobject 8 operating on the adjustment device indicated by 31 inFIG. 1 . - Furthermore, container means 50 for the label of the
ornamental object 8, obtained for example by means of agroove 51 or by means of apocket 52, adapted to conceal the label for a better presentation of theornamental object 8, may be provided on thesupport base 7. - The
ornamental object 8 is illustrated in its entirety in such a manner to make it completely visible. Thecontainer compartment 10 has avisible portion 13 which is not overlapped by thesupport base 7 and it is adapted to display the plurality ofornamental objects 12. - Advantageously, the
container compartment 10 is provided by means of a support plane connected at the peripheral edge to theframe 6 and shaped with contiguous and parallel wavings, which extend along the slope defining theseats 11. - More in detail, the
support base 7 is connected to theframework 2 along aside 14 and it is moveable between aclosure position 15, where it partially overlaps thecontainer compartment 10 to display theobjects 12 arranged in theseats 11, and anopening position 16 where it allows access to thecontainer compartment 10 below it. - Preferably, the
support base 7 is connected to theframework 2 along theside 14 through a hinge, obtained for example by simply folding an extension of the sheet which is fixed on the side of theframework 2. - The abovementioned folding or hinge allows the support base to rotate along the
side 14 between the twoabovementioned closure 15 and opening 16 positions. - Two
withholding elements 17 arranged transversely with respect to the longitudinal extension of theseats 11 to withhold the chains of theobjects 12 therein, are advantageously provided at the ends of theseats 11. -
Such withholding elements 17 are preferably simply made of elastic bands fixed at their ends on thesides 5 of theframework 2 or of thecontainer compartment 10. - As observable in
FIG. 3 , the upper ends of theseats 11 are connected to achamber 18 arranged below thecompartment 10 and adapted to contain the portions ofchains 19 of the objects extending beyond the length of theseats 11. - Lastly, a cover portion 20 n is provided connected to the
framework 2 or to theframe 6, preferably at the uppershort side 21 of thedisplay device 1, by means of a second hinge, also advantageously obtained by folding a sheet, adapted to allow the rotation alongsuch side 21 of the same cover portion between two corresponding closure and opening positions at which it respectively conceals or displays the upper ends of the chains of theobjects 12, to allow their extraction from theseats 11. Advantageously, on the upper part of such cover portion 20 aguide 22 for the insertion of apanel 23 bearing an image or a text for advertising and/or information purposes regarding the displayedobjects 12 is mounted, as schematically indicated in the attachedFIGS. 2 and 4 . - The display device subject of the present invention allows quick comparison of the various chains accommodated in the
container compartment 10 and also allows to observe the resulting aesthetic effect due to thesample 8 completely visible on thesupport base 7 at the same time. Hence, the finding thus conceived attains the preset objectives. - Obviously, the display according to the invention can assume, in their embodiments even shapes and configurations different from the ones illustrated above without, for this reason, departing from the present scope of protection. In addition, all the details can be replaced by other technically equivalent elements and the dimensions, shapes and materials used may be of any kind depending on the requirements.
