Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to a bead ornament structure, and more particularly to a simple and easy-to-manufacture structure of a bead ornament comprised of two half bead bodies.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • There are various different types of bead ornaments such as gemological bead ornaments or bead ornaments made of plastic compounds by hands or machines. Some of these bead ornaments are used for making a necklace by a small string for wearing, and some are produced or manufactured into strings by a small string or a small rod to facilitate their transportation and arrangement or make it easy for the next step of a manufacturing procedure. A bead ornament structure made by combining two half bead bodies is adopted extensively, and the bead ornament structure is made into a chain by a small string or a small metal rod first for facilitating its transportation, arrangement and manufacture. In an application, several strings of these two half bead bodies are combined into a special shape such as a star shape for the design of a bead ornament structure, which is directly used as a commercial product or a Christmas ornament. This type of bead ornament structures uses two half bead bodies to combine two lateral sides of the small string or small metal rod, and glue is applied to the gap at the small string or small metal rod, such that the two half bead bodies are combined with both sides of the small string or small metal rod by the glue. This method is adopted for producing groups of two half bead bodies on the same small string or small metal rod to make a bead chain or a bead necklace.
  • It is obvious that the gaps formed by adhering the two half bead bodies with both lateral sides of the small string or small metal rod by glue do not look good. Furthermore, it is quite difficult to produce gaps with the same width between the two half bead bodies and both lateral sides of the small string or small metal rod. If the widths of the gaps are not the same, it is hard to give an artistic look. Further, it takes much effort and time to apply the glue to the two half bead bodies and the small string or small metal rod, and the glued two half bead bodies cannot slide along the small string or small metal rod, and thus these bead bodies are rigid. What is more, the glued bead bodies cannot be removed or reworked conveniently for the next step in a manufacturing procedure.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The objective of this invention is to provide an bead ornament structure which includes two half bead bodies, each having a level attaching surface and a protruding external surface protruded from the attaching surface; and a partition base having a level surface disposed on two lateral bases of the partition base, each having a circular flange extended around a section of the partition base, such that the two half bead bodies are embedded into the circular flange with an appropriate tightness by the level attaching surface and attached onto the base, and the periphery of the two half bead bodies is bound and fixed by the circular flange extended from the partition base.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent in the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a schematic exploded view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of combining a small string and a small metal in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 4 is a schematic perspective view of combining a small string and a small metal in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • In the detailed description of the preferred embodiments, it should be noted that like elements are indicated by the same reference numerals throughout the disclosure.
  • Referring to FIG. 1, a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises:
  • two half bead bodies 1, each having a level attaching surface 11 and a protruding external surface 12 protruded from the attaching surface 11; and the external surface 12 is a smooth cambered surface, a diamond-like surface, or a surface with any other special stylish design;
  • a partition base 2, having lateral bases 21 with a level surface, and a circular flange 22 extended outward from each lateral base 21; a groove 23 disposed at the middle of a surface of a lateral base 21, a circular flange 22 extended from both sides of the groove 23, and two corresponding openings 24 formed on the circular flange 22;
  • a blunt circular edge 13 as shown in FIG. 2 formed at the periphery of the two half bead bodies 1, and having a width substantially equal to the width of the circular flange 22 extended from the lateral bases 21 of the partition base 2, and the partition base 2 is made of a plastic material with an appropriate flexibility. In this design, the circular flange 22 has a larger internal diameter at a position proximate to the base 21 and tapered outward, and thus the internal diameter of the circular flange 22 at the outermost side is the smallest, but the design of the two half bead bodies 1 also comes with an external diameter slightly smaller than the internal diameter of the circular flange 22, such that the two half bead bodies 1 can be embedded into the circular flange 22 by an appropriate tightness of the material of the circular flange 22; and the depth of the groove 22 exceeds one half of the thickness of the base 21, without exceeding the thickness of the base 21.
  • Referring to FIG. 3, the partition base 2 adopts the groove 23 to embed the small string or small metal rod 3 if it is necessary to install the overall structure onto the small string or small metal rod 3, such that the cross-sectional external diameter of the small string or small metal rod 3 is accommodated into the groove 23, and then the two half bead bodies 1 are embedded into the circular flange 22 by the level attaching surface 11 with an appropriate tightness to overcome the flexibility of the material of the circular flange 22 and attached onto the base 21, and a blunt circular edge 13 of the two half bead bodies 1 is bound and fixed by the circular flange 22 extended from the partition base 2, so as to complete the process of fixing the bead 4 onto the small string or small metal rod 3 as shown in FIG. 4.
  • The bead 4 comprised of two half bead bodies 1 and a partition base 2 can be fixed onto the small string or small metal rod 3 or slid along the small string or small metal rod 3 according to the desired design. For instance, the bead 4 can be slid along the small string or small metal rod 3, if there is a sufficient gap between the small string or small metal rod 3 embedded into the groove 23 of the partition base 2 and the groove 23. If the gap between the small string or small metal rod 3 embedded into the groove 23 of the partition base 2 and the groove 23 is just enough, then the bead 4 cannot be slid easily along the small string or small metal rod 3, but the bead 4 will be fixed. Glue may be added into the groove 23 of the partition base 2 if it is necessary to securely fix the bead 4, and then the small string or small metal rod 3 is embedded. After the partition base 2 is fixed to the small string or small metal rod 3 appropriately, the two half bead bodies 1 are embedded onto the base 21 in the circular flange 22.
  • The structure in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the design does not have any ugly gaps formed when the two half bead bodies are combined with both sides of the small string or small metal rod, and it is not necessary to take the consistence of width between the two half bead bodies and both sides of the small string or small metal rod into consideration anymore. By selectively providing sufficient and just enough gap between the small string or small metal rod 3 embedded into the groove 23 of the partition base 2 and the groove 23, the bead 4 can be slid along or fixed on the small string or small metal rod 3, and thus greatly enhancing the convenience for removing the bead 4 for the next step in a manufacturing procedure. A trace of glue can be added into the groove 23 of the partition base 2, even if it is not necessary to fix the bead 4, so as to provide a convenient way of positioning the components.
  • While the present invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiments, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretations and equivalent arrangements.
