The handle structure disposed on the box includes a body and a handling element which is integrally formed with the body and partially extends outside the box.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The invention relates to a handle structure, and in more particularly to a packing container and an integrally formed handle structure thereof.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- In
FIG. 1A , aconventional handle structure 10 comprises ahandling element 1 and afixed element 2. Thehandling element 1 comprises aholding portion 11 and tworectangular positioning portions 12 formed at two ends of theholding portion 11, respectively. Thefixed element 2 comprises tworectangular openings 21 corresponding to thepositioning portions 12 of thehandling element 1. The long side length of thepositioning portion 12 is greater than the short side length of theopenings 21 of thefixed element 2. - In
FIG. 1B , aplate 20 of a paper box B is provided with two holes (not shown in Figs.) corresponding to therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2. Thehandling element 1 and thefixed element 2 of thehandle structure 10 are installed by placing thefixed element 2 under theplate 20, aligning therectangular openings 21 with those on theplate 20, and then inserting thepositioning portions 12 of thehandling element 1 sequentially into the holes of theplate 20 of the paper box B and therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2. When the positioningportions 12 of thehandling element 1 pass completely through the holes of theplate 20 of the paper box B and therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2, the long side of thepositioning portions 12 of thehandling element 1 are substantially perpendicular to the long sides of therectangular openings 21 of thefixed element 2, thus, thehandling element 1 is securely engaged with theplate 20 of the paper box B. By holding theholding portion 11 of thehandling element 1, the paper box B can be easily moved. - The
handling element 1 and thefixed element 2 are two individual elements, thus, reducing material costs and assembly time is difficult. Besides, precision and tolerance of thehandling element 1 and thefixed element 2 must also be considered carefully. - An integrally formed, single source material handle structure capable of being rapidly assembled is provided. An exemplary embodiment of a handle structure comprises a handling element integrally formed with a body. The handling element comprises a plurality of fixed ends and a holding portion. The fixed ends are securely connected to the body and the holding portion is connected to the fixed ends. The handle structure further comprises a folding line disposed on the body, for increasing flexible deformability of the body. The handle structure may comprise plastic.
- A packing container of the invention comprises a box and a handle structure. The paper box comprises a plurality of openings and a slit linking the openings. The handle structure disposed on the box comprises a body and a handling element which is integrally formed with the body and partially extends outside the box.
- The body of the packing container can further comprise a folding line, thereby increasing flexible deformability of the body. The handling element comprises a plurality of fixed ends securely connected to the body and a holding portion connected to the fixed ends. The handle structure may comprise plastic. The openings can comprise an L-shaped structure.
- A detailed description is given in the following embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- The invention can be more fully understood by reading the subsequent detailed description and examples with references made to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
-
FIG. 1A is a top view of a conventional handle structure; -
FIG. 1B is a side view of the conventional handle structure connected to a top plate of a paper box; -
FIG. 2 is a top view of a handle structure of the invention; -
FIG. 3 is a side view of the handle structure connected to a top plate of a paper box of a packing container; -
FIG. 4A is a perspective view of the paper box ofFIG. 3 ; -
FIG. 4B is a top view of the paper box ofFIG. 4A ; -
FIG. 5A is a schematic view of the paper box and the handle structure of the packing container; and -
FIG. 5B is another schematic view of the paper box and the handle structure of the packing container. - The following description is of the best-contemplated mode of carrying out the invention. This description is made for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention and should not be taken in a limiting sense. The scope of the invention is best determined by reference to the appended claims.
- In
FIG. 2 , ahandle structure 100 comprises abody 60, ahandling element 30 and at least onefolding line 33. Thehandling element 30 is a simple supported beam structure integrally formed with thebody 60. Thehandling element 30 comprises twofixed ends 32 securely connected to thebody 60 and aholding portion 31 having twoends 311 connected to thefixed ends 32, respectively. Thefolding line 33 is disposed on thebody 60 to increase the flexible deformability of thebody 60. In this embodiment, the number offolding lines 33 is three, and thefolding lines 33 are spaced from each other. - In
FIG. 3 , a packing container P of the embodiment comprises apaper box 51 having atop plate 510 and thehandle structure 100 detachably connected to thepaper box 51. InFIGS. 4A and 4B , anengaging portion 510H formed on thetop plate 510 of thepaper box 51 comprises a plurality of L-shaped openings 56 and aslit 53 linking theopenings 56. Each L-shaped opening 56 comprises afirst port 561 and asecond port 562. In this embodiment, the number of L-shaped openings 56 is two, and theslit 53 is located between L-shaped openings 56. In comparison with the conventional slotted structure, theengaging portion 510H of thepaper box 51 is provides a suitable functional design capable of receiving and accommodating thehandle structure 100. - When the
handle structure 100 is connected to thepaper box 51, thecurved holding portion 31 of thehandle structure 100 passing through theopenings 56 and theslit 53 extends from the outside of thetop plate 510 of thepaper box 51, and thefixed ends 32 of thehandling element 30 are securely attached to the inside of thetop plate 510 of thepaper box 51 when theholding portion 31 of thehandle structure 100 is lifted. - When the holding
portion 31 of thehandle structure 100 is lifted, thebody 60 of thehandle structure 100 is folded along thefolding lines 33 to form a regularly and symmetricallycorrugated deformation region 330, i.e., an irregular or asymmetric deformation at the middle of a conventional handle structure can be prevented. - Referring to
FIGS. 2 , 5A and 5B, when installing thehandle structure 100 on thepaper box 51, theupper part 52 of thetop plate 510 is slightly lifted to allow the holdingportion 31 to be inserted into theslit 53 of thetop plate 510 and exposing on thelower part 54 of thetop plate 510. Due to the distance between the fixed ends 32 of the handlingelement 30 equal to that between the L-shapedopenings 56 of thetop plate 510, the fixed ends 32 of the handlingelement 30 are respectively engaged to thefirst ports 561 of the L-shapedopenings 56 of thetop plate 510. When the handlingelement 30 is lifted, thebody 60 of thehandle structure 100 is curved and the fixed ends 32 of the handlingelement 30 are securely inserted into thesecond ports 562 of the L-shapedopenings 56, respectively. Thus, by lifting thehandle structure 100, thepaper box 51 can be moved. - Based on the described features, the
handle structure 100 of the embodiment is directly formed by a single plate and can be rapidly assembled on a production line, thus, material costs and time are reduced, and the assembly process is simplified. - While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of the preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiments. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements (as would be apparent to those skilled in the art). Therefore, the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements.
