Abstract
A baby carrier with detachable supporting pad includes a baby basket, a pair of X-frames, a supporting pad, and preferably, a baby accessory basket. The baby basket has handle bar for carrying the baby anywhere, and sockets for detachable connecting on the top of the X-frames. A pair of support bracket is mounted on the middle portion of the X-frames respectively, so as to detachably support the supporting pad beneath the baby carrier. The supporting pad has a buckle and a pair of engageable extensions at both end thereof. The buckle of the supporting pad can be detachable connected with the baby carrier for securing the supporting pad on the baby carrier when changing diaper for baby. Preferably, the baby accessory basket is connected between the pair of X-frame, for receiving baby accessory, such as nursling kit, bottles, diapers, clothes, etc.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a baby carrier connectable with a X-frame and in particular, to a baby carrier provided with a supporting pad which can be either hidden beneath the baby carrier, or positioned on top of the baby carrier for diaper changing and nursing use.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Generally, a new born baby is small and spends most of the time in sleeping. Due to Lacks of independent ability, such a small baby is not suitable to sleep with its parents in one bed, or the bedding and pillow may cover the baby's face and cause the baby to suffocate.
- In order not to disturb a sleeping baby, a basket with handle for carrying the baby anywhere, is capable of providing the function same as crib or bassinet.
- For safety, the basket has a depth for accommodating baby, that cause inconvenient to the parent to bend down body and stretch hands inside to pull and take the baby during changing the diaper.
- In order to increase the convenience in using the basket as a baby carrier, and saving the labor to bend down body of the parents, the present invention provides a baby carrier connectable with a X-frame, and provided with a supporting pad which can be either hidden beneath the baby carrier, or put on top of the baby carrier for diaper changing and nursing use.
- The baby carrier according to one embodiment of the present invention, includes a baby basket, a pair of X-frames, a supporting pad, and preferably, a baby accessory basket. The baby basket has handle bar for carrying the baby anywhere, and sockets for detachable connecting on the top of the X-frames.
- The pair of X-frames includes a plurality of frame members, a pair of support bracket, and a connecting rod. The connecting rod rigidly connected between the X-frames. Each of the frame members has a top end and a lower end, and the top end thereof has a engaging portion for inserting into the socket of the baby basket. Further, each of the lower end of the frame member may be furnished with a wheel adapted for moving the baby carrier with the X-frames either indoor or outdoor. The pair of support bracket is mounted on the middle portion of the X-frames respectively, so as to support the supporting pad at both ends when being hided beneath the baby carrier.
- The supporting pad has a buckle and a pair of engageable extensions at both end thereof. The buckle of the supporting pad can be detachable connected with the baby carrier for securing the supporting pad on the baby carrier when changing diaper for baby.
- Preferably, a baby accessory basket is connected between the pair of X-frame, for receiving baby accessory, such as nursling kit, bottles, diapers, clothes, etc.
- Further scope of the applicability of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description given hereinafter. However, it should be understood that the detailed description and specific examples, while indicating preferred embodiments of the invention, are given by way of illustration only, since various changes and modifications within the spirit and scope of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from this detailed description.
- The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given hereinbelow and the accompanying drawings, which are given by way of illustration only, and thus are not limitative of the present invention, and wherein:

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a baby carrier with detachable supporting pad according to the present invention, wherein the supporting pad is hide beneath the baby basket. -
FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the baby carrier with detachable supporting pad. -
FIG. 3 is a side view of the baby carrier with detachable supporting pad according to the present invention, wherein the supporting pad is hide beneath the baby basket. -
FIG. 4 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a baby carrier with detachable supporting pad according to the present invention, wherein the supporting pad is supported on top of the baby basket. -
FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing the buckle of the supporting pad which is engaging with the connecting element of the baby basket. -
FIG. 6 is a schematic view showing the buckle of the supporting pad which is disengaging from the connecting element of the baby basket. -
FIG. 7 is a exploded perspective view of another embodiment of a baby carrier with detachable supporting pad according to the present invention, wherein the supporting pad has hook-like extension for hanging on top of the baby basket. -
FIG. 8 is a perspective view of another embodiment of a baby carrier with detachable supporting pad according to the present invention, wherein the supporting pad has hook-like extension for hanging on top of the baby basket. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 8 , the baby carrier according to one embodiment of the present invention, includes ababy basket 2, a pair ofX-frames 1, and a supportingpad 3. The supportingpad 3 is selectively in either hided beneath thebaby basket 2 or supported on top of thebaby basket 2 for diaper changing use. - Referring to
FIGS. 1 to 3 , thebaby basket 2 has aupper frame 21,peripheral wall 22, abottom 23, a pair of connectingelements 25, ahandle bar 26, and a plurality ofsockets 27. Theperipheral wall 22 and thebottom 23 form anaccommodating space 24. The inner side of theaccommodating space 24 is cushioned with soft materials covered with fabric or plastic. - The
upper frame 21 forms the top edge of thebaby basket 2. Thehandle bar 26 is pivoted to theupper frame 21 for liftingbaby basket 2 by hand and carrying the baby therein to anywhere. - The plurality of
sockets 27 are connected to the opposite side of theupper frame 21 for detachable engaging with the pair ofX-frames 1, thereby to be supported by theX-frames 1 for saving the labor of bending body for the user. - The pair of
X-frames 1 includes a plurality offrame members 11, a pair ofsupport brackets 13, and a connectingrod 14. The connectingrod 14 rigidly connected between theX-frames 1. Each of theframe members 11 has a top end and a lower end, and the top end thereof has aengaging portion 12 for inserting into thesockets 27 of thebaby basket 2 respectively. Further, each of the lower end of theframe members 11 may be furnished with awheel 15 adapted for moving thebaby carrier 2 with theX-frames 1 either indoor or outdoor. - The pair of
support brackets 13 is mounted on the middle portion of the X-frames respectively, so as to support the supportingpad 3 when hiding the supportingpad 3 beneath thebaby carrier 2. - The supporting
pad 3 hassupport frame 31, aperipheral walls 32, a pair ofengaging extensions 33 and abuckle 34. Theperipheral walls 32 and a bottom defined a shallow accommodating space for diaper changing use. - The
support frame 31 has a pair ofshort sides 311 and a pair flong side 312. Theengaging extensions 33 is formed on theshort sides 311 and adapted for detachably engaging with the pair ofsupport bracket 13, thereby to hide beneath thebaby basket 2 as showed inFIG. 3 . - Referring to
FIG. 4 , the supportingpad 3 can be remove from thesupport brackets 13 and changed to be supported by thebaby basket 2. For securing the supportingpad 3 on thebaby basket 2, a pair ofbuckle 34 is mounted on the middle portion of the pair oflong side 312 of thesupport frame 31, and a pair of connectingelements 25 is firmly attached to theupper frame 21. - Referring to
FIGS. 5 to 6 , the connectingelements 25 connected with theupper frame 21, has a downward extension wall formed with aslot 251. Thebuckle 34 pivotally connected with thesupport frame 31, has anarm 341 formed with alatching hook 342 adapted for inserting and engaging with theslot 251 of the connectingelements 25. By the engaging of thebuckle 34 and the connectingelements 25, the supportingpad 3 can be detachably connected with thebaby carrier 2 for changing diaper for baby. - Referring to
FIGS. 7 to 8 , showing an alternative embodiment of the supportingpad 3. In this embodiment, thebuckles 34 can be replaced by a plurality of outward extendinghooks 340 for hanging the supportingpad 3 on top of thebaby carrier 2. - Preferably, a
baby accessory basket 4 is connected between the pair of X-frame, for receiving baby accessory, such as nursling kit, bottles, diapers, clothes, etc. - While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of preferred embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. On the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.
Claims (20)
1. A baby carrier with detachable supporting pad, comprising:
a baby basket, having a handle bar and a plurality of sockets;
a pair of X-frames connected by a connecting rod, having a pair of support brackets mounted on the middle portion of the X-frames respectively, each X-frames has a pair of engaging portions for connecting with the plurality of sockets, thereby to support the baby basket; and
a supporting pad with a shallow accommodating space, has a pair of engaging extensions for detachably connecting with the support bracket of the pair of X-frames so as to hide the supporting pad beneath the baby basket.
2. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 1 , wherein the baby basket has an accommodating space defined by a peripheral wall and a bottom, and the accommodating space is cushioned with a soft material.
3. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 1 , wherein the baby basket has a upper frame for pivotally connecting the handle bar.
4. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 1 , wherein the baby basket has a upper frame for connecting with the plurality of sockets.
5. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 1 , wherein each of the pair of X-frames is connected with a plurality of wheels for moving the baby basket.
6. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 1 , wherein the supporting pad has a pair of buckles for detachably securing the supporting pad on top of the baby basket.
7. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 6 , wherein each of the buckles has a arm formed with a latching hook for detachably securing the supporting pad on top of the baby basket.
8. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 6 , wherein the baby carrier has a pair of connecting element with a slot for engaging with the latching hook of the buckles.
9. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 6 , wherein the buckles are pivotally connected with the supporting pad.
10. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 6 , wherein the supporting pad has a plurality of outward extending hooks for hanging the supporting pad on top of the baby carrier.
11. A baby carrier with detachable supporting pad, comprising:
a baby basket, having a handle bar and a plurality of sockets;
a pair of X-frames connected by a connecting rod, having a pair of support brackets mounted on the middle portion of the X-frames respectively, each X-frames has a pair of engaging portions for connecting with the plurality of sockets, thereby to support the baby basket;
a supporting pad with a shallow accommodating space, has a pair of engaging extensions for detachably connecting with the support bracket of the pair of X-frames so as to hide the supporting pad beneath the baby basket; and
a baby accessory basket connected between the pair of X-frames for receiving and storing a baby accessory.
12. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 11 , wherein the baby basket has an accommodating space defined by a peripheral wall and a bottom, and the accommodating space is cushioned with a soft material.
13. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 11 , wherein the baby basket has a upper frame for pivotally connecting the handle bar.
14. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 11 , wherein the baby basket has a upper frame for connecting with the plurality of sockets.
15. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 11 , wherein each of the pair of X-frames is connected with a plurality of wheels for moving the baby basket.
16. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 11 , wherein the supporting pad has a pair of buckles for detachably securing the supporting pad on top of the baby basket.
17. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 16 , wherein each of the buckles has a arm formed with a latching hook for detachably securing the supporting pad on top of the baby basket.
18. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 16 , wherein the baby carrier has a pair of connecting element with a slot for engaging with the latching hook of the buckles.
19. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 16 , wherein the buckles are pivotally connected with the supporting pad.
20. The baby carrier with detachable supporting pad of claim 11 , wherein the supporting pad has a plurality of outward extending hooks for hanging the supporting pad on top of the baby carrier.
