Therefore, where means 18 compriseslayers 180 and 182 and zipper slides 184, the user will grasp onezipper teeth zipper slide 184 and mutually disengage and decouple the 180 and 182 aboutteeth 140 and 160 and then grasp thelong sides other zipper slide 184 and mutually disengage and decouple the 180 and 182 aboutteeth 142 and 162, respectively. Where means 18 compriseslong sides hook 186 and loop 188 material, the user will pull the 14 and 16 apart from one another so that thelayers hook 186 and loop 188 material are mutually disengaged and decoupled about 140 and 160 andlong sides 142 and 162, respectively. Where means 18 compriseslong sides buttons 190 and slits 192, the user will disengage and decouple eachrespective button 190 from eachslit 192 retaining eachbutton 190 about 140 and 160 andlong sides 142 and 162, respectively. Where means 18 comprises button snaps 194 andlong sides button posts 196, the user will disengage and decouple eachrespective snap button 194 from eachbutton post 196 retaining eachbutton snap 194 about 140 and 160 andlong sides 142 and 162, respectively.long sides - Once the
140 and 160 andlong sides 142 and 162 are mutually disengaged, decoupled and released, thelong sides 14 and 16 are separated from one another along a substantially flat surface. Alayers pillow 100 is placed therein, either engaging thelayer 14 or thelayer 16 initially. The initially 14 or 16 is then folded onto theunengaged layer pillow 100 aboutseam 20 so that the 14 and 16 envelope thelayers pillow 100 therein. The user will then perform the reverse operation(s) to the operations described above with regard to disengaging and decoupling the long sides of each 14 and 16. Therefore, the user will perform the operation(s) to mutually couple and engage thelayer 140 and 160 andlong sides 142 and 162 to form thelong sides pillow case 10. - The use of a pillowcase according to the embodiments described herein avoids the tugging and pulling which is necessary to move two flexible materials past each other as is necessary in order to insert a bed pillow into a conventional or standard pillow case.
- While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of several embodiments, it is to be understood that the present invention is not limited in scope to the embodiments disclosed herein. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.
