Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a brassiere box, and more particularly to a brassiere box into which brassieres or breast pasties that can be packed easily and quickly.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • With reference to FIG. 5, conventional brassiere boxes (60) were developed to store and keep brassieres and breast pasties clean and dry. A common conventional brassiere box comprises a seat (61) and a cover (62). The seat (61) has two cup seats (63) and connecting nubs (64). The cup seats (63) are convex and protrude up the seat (61). The connecting nubs (64) are formed on and protrude up from the seat (61) around the cup seats (63). The cover (62) is connected pivotally to the seat (61) and has two cup covers (65) and multiple detents (66). The cup covers (65) are convex, are formed on the cover (62), are slightly larger than the cup seats (63) and correspond respectively to and align with the cup seats (63). When the cover (62) is closed, the cup covers (65) form gaps between the corresponding cup seats (63) and cup covers (65) to hold brassiere cupsor breast pasties. The detents (66) are formed in the cover (62) around the cup covers (65) and correspond respectively to engage the connecting nubs (65) in the seat (61) to hold the cover (62) closed.
  • The conventional brassiere box (60) also has the following shortcomings.
  • 1. The connecting nubs (64) securely engage the detents (66) to close the brassiere box (60), and considerable force must be applied to disengage the connecting nubs (64) from the detents (66), so the brassiere box (60) is inconvenient to use.
  • 2. In addition, the connecting nubs (64) and the detents (66) may wear down after extended use and may not hold securely that shortens the life of the brassiere box (60).
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The main objective of the present invention is to provide a brassiere box into which brassieres or breast pasties can be packed easily and quickly.
  • The brassiere box has a seat with two sides, a front edge, a cup mount and at least one connecting tab, a cover connected pivotally to the seat and having two sides, a front edge, a cup cover and at least one connecting tab and a brassiere space between the cup cover and the cup mount. The cup mount is formed on the seat. The at least one connecting tab is formed on a side of the seat at the front edge. The cup cover is formed on the cover, corresponds to the cup mount and is slightly larger than the cup mount. The at least one connecting tab is formed on the front edge of the cover at the side of the cover corresponding to the connecting tab on the seat and interlaces with the connecting tab on the seat to hold the cover closed.
  • Other objectives, advantages and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the brassiere box in accordance with the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the brassiere box in FIG. 1 with the brassiere box open;
  • FIG. 3 is an enlarged operational view of connecting tabs on the brassiere box in FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of a second embodiment of a brassiere box in accordance with the present invention; and
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective view of a conventional brassiere box in accordance with the prior art.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • With reference to FIGS. 1 and 4, a brassiere box (10) in accordance with the present invention comprises a seat (20), a cover (30), a brassiere space (40) and an optional dividing cup (50).
  • The seat (20) may be square and has a front edge, a rear edge, two sides, a center, a cup mount (21) and at least one connecting tab (22). The cup mount (21) is convex and is formed on and protrudes up from the center of the seat (20). The at least one connecting tab (22) is formed on a side of the seat (20) at the front edge. When the seat (20) has two connecting tabs (22), the connecting tabs (22) are formed respectively on the sides of the seat (20) at the front edge.
  • The cover (30) is connected pivotally to the seat (20) and has a front edge, a rear edge, two sides, a center, a cup cover (31) and at least one connecting tab (32). The cup cover (31) is also convex, is formed on and protrudes up from the center of the cover (30), corresponds to and covers the cup mount (21) in the seat (20) and is slightly larger than the cup mount (21). The at least one connecting tab (32) is formed on a side of the cover (30) at the front edge corresponding to the at least one connecting tab (22) on the seat (20) and selectively interlace with the at least one connecting tab (22) on the seat (20) to hold the cover (30) closed on the seat (20).
  • The brassiere space (40) is defined between the cup cover (31) and the cup mount (21) because the cup cover (31) is slightly larger than the cup mount (21) and holds brassieres or breast pasties.
  • The dividing cup (50) is also convex, is connected pivotally to the front edge of the seat (20) between the connecting tabs (22), divides the brassiere space (40) between the cup cover (3 1) and the cup mount (21) and is slightly larger than the cup mount (21) and smaller than the cup cover (31). Consequently, brassieres or the breast pasties can be stored separately above and below the diving cup (50).
  • The brassiere box (10) as described has the following advantages.
  • 1. The brassiere box (10) is closed by interlocking the connecting tabs (22) on the seat (20) with the connecting tabs (32) on the cover (30). Then the cover (30) can be mounted over the seat (20) easily and quickly.
  • 2. Because the connecting tabs (22, 32) only have to be bent slightly to interlock each other, the connecting tabs (22, 32) are not subject to wear. Consequently, the life of the brassiere box (10) will be longer than the conventional brassiere box (60).
  • Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and features of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only. Changes may be made in the details, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
