Abstract

A box structure for emplacing billiard cues is composed of a hard and long casing with an opening at an end for installing a cover. A protecting block is located at the opening of casing or inside the cover. The protecting block is made by a PU material, and is provided with a plurality of emplacing holes which are passed through thereon, for inserting an end of billiard cue, such that the protecting block can protect the billiard cues from being damaged or deformed.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a box structure for emplacing billiard cues, and more particularly to a billiard cue box whose interior is provided with a protecting block of Polyurethane (PU) material to protect the billiard cues from being damaged or deformed.
(b) Description of the Prior Art
It is well known that the billiard ball game is a sport combining mechanics and surveillance, is recognized as a very noble sport internationally, is welcomed by a great population, and is one of the official games in international competition. As a billiard cue is a primary tool to develop the technique of billiard ball game to extreme, the design and quality of billiard cue is very fastidious. In addition, for easily carrying the billiard cues, most of the billiard cues have been improved to a kind of two-segment style and can be emplaced into a box for collecting and carrying after being disassembled.
A conventional box structure for the billiard cues, such as those disclosed in the U.S. Pat. Nos. D509956 and D465325, includes primarily a frame made by harder material, such as a hard plastic casing. The exterior of casing is enclosed with layer of soft leather or cotton, and its interior is provided with a baffle layer which includes a plurality of emplacing holes for inserting the billiard cues. A cover is used to seal an end of box, such that the interior billiard cues can be properly protected by the baffle layer, even being collided during carrying the box.
The primary drawback of this kind of conventional billiard cue box is that the baffle layer is primarily made by a hard material, and is installed with a flannel on its surface; therefore, it is not able to provide a better capability of shock absorption if subjected to a stronger collision, for example, the billiard cue will be strongly impacted such that an assembling end of two-segment billiard cue will lose its precision or even be deformed, and the billiard cue will lose its precision after being assembled, which will reduce its standard of using, if the box is put in a corner of wall in a slant direction and is slipped down on a ground. On the other hand, the thinnest end of billiard cue can sometimes be cracked if subjected to a strong impact.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a box structure for emplacing billiard cues, which is provided with an extremely good shock-proof function, including a hard and long casing with an opening at an end for installing a cover. A protecting block made by a PU material is located at the opening end of casing or inside the cover bag, and is provided with a plurality of emplacing holes passing through thereon, for inserting an end of billiard cue, so as to protect the billiard cues inserted thereon from being damaged or deformed.
To enable a further understanding of the said objectives and the technological methods of the invention herein, the brief description of the drawings below is followed by the detailed description of the preferred embodiments.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a first implementation of billiard cue box 10 includes a hard and long casing 12 with an opening at one end, and a cover 30 hinged at the opening. An exterior of casing 12 is enclosed with a layer 11 of soft leather or cotton, and its interior is provided with a baffle layer.
A protecting block 20 is a block made by a soft material, especially a PU material having a good capability of shock absorption. A plurality of emplacing holes 21 are passed through the protecting block 20 and a latch part 22 is located at a bottom surface of protecting block 20, such that the protecting block 20 can be fixed at the opening of casing 12 with the latch part 22. Whereas the cover 30 can be used to cover the protecting block 20 and can be sealed at the end of casing 12, so as to accomplish a practical box structure for emplacing the billiard cues.
Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, a second implementation of billiard cue box 40 includes a hard and long casing 42 with an opening at one end. An exterior of casing 42 is enclosed with a layer 41 of soft leather or cotton, and its interior is provided with a baffle layer.
A cover 60 can be hinged at the opening of casing 42, and can also be an individual body to be properly covered at the opening of casing 42. An interior of cover 60 is latched with a protecting block 50 made by a soft material, especially a PU material having a good capability of shock absorption, and its exterior surface is provided with a plurality of emplacing holes 51.
Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 4, after a billiard cue (not shown in the drawings) is emplaced in the box 10, 40, as at least one end is inserted into the emplacing hole 21, 51 of protecting block 20, 50, it can be well clipped. In addition, as the protecting block 20, 50 is made by a PU material, it is provided with a extremely stable clipping force and a extremely good capability of shock absorption; therefore, it can protect the billiard cue from being strongly shaken and collided, thereby reducing a risk of being cracked or deformed, upon being subjected to an external impact.
It is of course to be understood that the embodiments described herein is merely illustrative of the principles of the invention and that a wide variety of modifications thereto may be effected by persons skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as set forth in the following claims.

Claims

1. A box structure for emplacing billiard cues comprising a hard and long casing with an opening at an end; a cover being able to be covered at the opening; an exterior of casing being enclosed with a layer made by a soft leather or cotton, and an interior of casing being provided with a baffle layer; a protecting block being a block made by a PU material, having a plurality of emplacing holes, and being provided with a latch part at a bottom surface thereof, such that the protecting block can be fixed at the opening of casing with the latch part, and the cover can cover the protecting block and can be sealed at the end of casing.

A box structure for emplacing billiard cues comprising a hard and long casing with an opening at an end; an exterior of casing being enclosed with a layer made by a soft leather or cotton, and an interior of casing being provided with a baffle layer; a cover being able to be covered at the opening and its interior being latched with a protecting block made by a PU material, whose exterior surface is provided with a plurality of emplacing holes.
