Abstract

A golf caddie belt for storing accessories needed to play the game of golf is disclosed. The golf caddie belt disclosed herein incorporates the use of a belt that is used around the player's waist to hold essential golf equipment in an orderly and accessible fashion.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • The instant invention relates to golf accessories holder that facilitates the carrying of several different accessories used while playing golf. More particularly, the instant invention relates to a multi-holder belt to be worn around player's waist. The said belt has spaces to storage and carry different golf accessories in a well organized manner in order to facilitate the golf player accessibility to the said accessories reducing or eliminating time constraints of the game.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
  • The prior art discloses a variety of artifacts designed and used with the purpose of accommodating and or carrying golf accessories such as clubs, gloves, ball markers, divot tool, club cradle tool and wood tees.
  • For instance, Reiss U.S. Pat. No. 3,968,522 as well as Berman U.S. Pat. Nos. 4,303,187 and 4,356,943 disclosed trousers and similar garments all essentially featuring a pocket or pocket-like as a golf accessories holder.
  • On the other hand other U.S. patents such as Hatch, U.S. Pat. No. 3,620,426; Grinder, U.S. Pat. No. 4,129,237 and Plummer U.S. Pat. No. 4,886,196, among others disclose a device comprising essentially a clip having different locations wherein different golf accessories can be placed and wherein the said device can also be accommodated in different locations of the player's body. It is noticed that regardless to the particular design, preparation materials, particular shape, or other functional and nonfunctional modifications, all the said inventions are drawn to a clip aimed to storage golf accessories. Similarly, Gustine U.S. Pat. No. 5,031,812 describes a golf ball position marker detachable secured to a supporting strip attached to a golfer's belt or golf bag and a pouch having a pair of tabs may be supported on a strip. Stanton et al, U.S. Pat. No. 4,804,121 discloses a belt for containing and carrying various golf accessories. The said belt has multiple identical pockets—indeed it really looks like a stream of identical pockets—wherein the golf accessories may be indiscriminately stored and it is intended to be used on the golf-bag cuff or at the waist of the golfer. Stanton's belt does not contain any other storage place or holding device with exception of the monotonous identical pockets located in series. Thus, the use of the said belt does not facilitate at all finding a particular accessories in an efficient and organized manner. Therefore there is need for a golf belt caddie with highly organized sections that provides a convenient, organized and defined manner of carrying golf accessories.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The instant invention provides a golf caddie belt having a well organized storage or carried locations that based upon its organization promotes a faster play and that facilitates the golf game by allowing the user to quickly find the required accessory. The said belt can also be used as a promotional or advertising device since it can optionally be decorated with promotional signs and/or patterns or similar promotional materials allowing its display while golfers are at play. The instant invention relates to a novel belt having particular and localized parts for the storage of particular accessories thus it has excellent advantages over those golf accessories holder or carries disclosed in the prior art since it allows instant convenience and organized access to golf accessories while playing; consequently, the golf caddie belt helps to promote faster play. It also saves clothes from wear and soiling, preventing sharp accessories and soiled hands from frequently entering pants pockets. Due to its versatility, the golf caddie belt would be used mostly by golf aficionados worldwide regardless of their sex, age, handicap conditions or handedness.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a full view of the preferred embodiment of the invention.
  • Figures II A and II B are detailed views of the preferred embodiment of the invention. Particularly Fig. IIA describes the left side of the preferred invention while Fig. IIB describes the left side of the invention.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING AND OF THE PREFFERED EMBODIMENTS
  • The preferred embodiment of the instant invention is the golf belt carrier 10 illustrated in figures I and II A-B. The instant invention comprises a rectangular flat body (4) having at each one of the extremes locking elements such as a locking buckle (1) and (2), wherein the male or female buckles are located at the extremes shown in FIG. 1 or vice versa or wherein the shown locking system may be substituted by any other possible locking system without altering the spirit or essence of the instant invention. Notice that the invention also displays self sticking gripper pads with drilled holes (7) which allow two ball markers to be held in place on the belt buckle.
  • On the other hand, the rectangular body (4) may be made of any suitable material, preferable polyester/nylon and have different width dimensions, preferably two inches. Just after any one of the locking unit (1) or (2) at the end part of the body (4) a width-adjuster slide (3) may be found while at the opposite side after the other extreme, a polyester/nylon web tee holder (8) is located.
  • Notice that the said location of elements 8 and 3 may be interchangeable without affecting the spirit of the invention. Between width adjuster (3) and web tee holder 8, rectangular flat body (4) also displays two D-rings (5) conveniently used to hold a hand towel (right or left side) and two loop fastener pads (6) for holding of the golf glove while putting and the divot repair/club cradle tool.
  • Not shown in the drawing are other purchased components of the golf caddie belt (10), in particular a hand towel with grommet and hook, a divot repair/club cradle tool with Velcro hook fastener, ball markers, wood tees, and a ball holder with capacity for two balls (optional).
  • In the very preferred embodiment a two-inch polypropylene or nylon web length material (4) is assembled by sewing plastic luggage type buckles (1) and (2), adjusting slide (3), D-rings (5), web tee holder (8), several loop type fasteners, hand towel and ball marker retainers. A sub assembly for the towel is required. On the other hand, a two-ball holder, four tees in two sizes, two ball markers and a divot repair/club cradle tool are purchased items.
  • Optionally decorative, advertising and promotional materials may be installed or adhered in different parts of the belt (10). The belt may have one or more colors selected from a large variety as well as one or more pattern(s) and/or promotional materials that may be even included at the user or client requests.
  • The invention is not limited to the precise configuration described above. While the invention has been described as having a preferred design, it is understood that many changes, modifications, variations and other uses and applications of the subject invention will, however, become apparent to those skilled in the art without materially departing from the novel teachings and advantages of this invention after considering this specification together with the accompanying drawings. For example, the particular shapes and proportions of the elements of the golf caddie belt may be varied as desired. Accordingly, all such changes, modifications, variations and other uses and applications which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention are deemed to be covered by this invention as defined in the following claims and their legal equivalents. In the claims, means-plus-function clauses, if any, are intended to cover the structures described herein as performing the recited function and not only structural equivalents but also equivalent structures.
  • All of the patents, patent applications, and publications recited herein, and in the Declaration attached hereto, if any, are hereby incorporated by reference as if set forth in their entirety herein. All, or substantially all, the components disclosed in such patents may be used in the embodiments of the present invention, as well as equivalents thereof. The details in the patents, patent applications, and publications incorporated by reference herein may be considered to be incorporable at applicant's option, into the claims during prosecution as further limitations in the claims to patentable distinguish any amended claims from any applied prior art.
