Abstract
An exercising elastic pull cord includes an elastic pull cord body having an elastic inner tube, and a fabric outer layer coated around an outer periphery of the elastic inner tube. The elastic pull cord body has two distal ends each provided with a handgrip, an urging body, and a contraction sleeve. Thus, the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is not deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body, so that the contraction sleeve mounted around the elastic pull cord body is secured to the handgrip closely, thereby preventing the handgrip from being detached from the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to an exercising device, and more particularly to an exercising elastic pull cord.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional exercising
elastic pull cord 4 in accordance with the prior art shown inFIGS. 5-8 comprises an elasticpull cord body 41 having two distal ends each provided with ahandgrip 42, anurging body 5, and asleeve 6. Thehandgrip 42 has an end face having an inside formed with acatch flange 421 rested on thesleeve 6. Theurging body 5 is inserted into the elasticpull cord body 41 to press the elasticpull cord body 41 and thesleeve 6 outward so that thesleeve 6 has a protrudingstop portion 61 rested on thecatch flange 421 of thehandgrip 42 to secure thesleeve 6 to thehandgrip 42, thereby preventing thesleeve 6 from being detached from thehandgrip 42. - When the
handgrip 42 is moved outward relative to the elasticpull cord body 41, thecatch flange 421 of thehandgrip 42 is rested on thestop portion 61 of thesleeve 6, so that the elasticpull cord body 41 is pulled outward by thehandgrip 42. Thus, when the elasticpull cord body 41 is pulled outward by thehandgrip 42, the elasticpull cord body 41 is driven by thehandgrip 12 to slip toward the tensile direction of the elasticpull cord body 41 from theurging body 5. - However, the elastic
pull cord body 41 is deformed by the tensile action of the elasticpull cord body 11, and the thickness of the elasticpull cord body 41 is reduced, so that the elasticpull cord body 41 is easily detached from thesleeve 6 and thehandgrip 12. In addition, when thesleeve 6 is broken or worn out during a long-term utilization, the elasticpull cord body 41 is rubbed by the handgrip, thereby wearing the elasticpull cord body 41. Further, the elasticpull cord body 41 will spring outward accidentally when being broken or worn out, thereby causing danger to a user's when using the exercising elastic pull cord. - In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an exercising elastic pull cord, comprising an elastic pull cord body having an elastic inner tube, and a fabric outer layer coated around an outer periphery of the elastic inner tube.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising elastic pull cord, wherein the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is not deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body, so that the contraction sleeve mounted around the elastic pull cord body is secured to the handgrip closely, thereby preventing the handgrip from being detached from the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising elastic pull cord, wherein the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body is coated around the elastic inner tube to prevent the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body from being rubbed by the handgrip so as to enhance the lifetime of the elastic pull cord body.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising elastic pull cord, wherein the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is coated by the fabric outer layer, so that when the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is broken or worn out during a long-term utilization, the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body will not spring outward accidentally so as to protect a user's safety when using the exercising elastic pull cord.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 , an exercisingelastic pull cord 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises an elasticpull cord body 11 having an elasticinner tube 111, and a fabricouter layer 112 coated around an outer periphery of the elasticinner tube 111. The fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11 is formed by a cylinder knitting machine. The elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 has an elastic coefficient greater than that of the fabricouter layer 112. - Referring to
FIGS. 1-4 , the elasticpull cord body 11 has two distal ends each provided with ahandgrip 12, anurging body 2, and acontraction sleeve 3. - The
handgrip 12 is pivotally attached to the respective distal end of the elasticpull cord body 11 and has an end face having an inside formed with acatch flange 121 rested on thecontraction sleeve 3. - The
urging body 2 is attached to the respective distal end of the elasticpull cord body 11 and inserted into the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 to press the elasticpull cord body 11 and thecontraction sleeve 3 radially outward so that thecontraction sleeve 3 has a radially outward extendedstop portion 31 rested on thecatch flange 121 of thehandgrip 12 to secure thecontraction sleeve 3 to thehandgrip 12, thereby preventing thecontraction sleeve 3 from being detached from thehandgrip 12. - The
contraction sleeve 3 is attached to the respective distal end of the elasticpull cord body 11 and mounted around an outer periphery of the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11. Thecontraction sleeve 3 is made of a material that is contracted when being heated. Thecontraction sleeve 3 has an inner wall provided with agel layer 31 coated around the outer periphery of the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11. Thegel layer 31 of thecontraction sleeve 3 is disposed at a liquid state when being heated. The outer periphery of the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11 has a plurality ofmeshes 113. When thegel layer 31 of thecontraction sleeve 3 is heated to form a liquid state, thegel layer 31 of thecontraction sleeve 3 is infiltrated into and mixed with themeshes 113 of the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11. After thegel layer 31 of thecontraction sleeve 3 is cooled and solidified, thegel layer 31 of thecontraction sleeve 3 and themeshes 113 of the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11 are bonded together, so that the contraction sleeve 3 and the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11 are combined integrally. - When the
handgrip 12 is moved outward relative to the elasticpull cord body 11, thecatch flange 121 of thehandgrip 12 is rested on thestop portion 31 of thecontraction sleeve 3, so that the elasticpull cord body 11 is pulled outward by thehandgrip 12. At this time, the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 has an elastic coefficient greater than that of the fabricouter layer 112, so that when the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 11 reaches its tensile extreme value, the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 has not reached its tensile extreme value. Thus, when the elasticpull cord body 11 is pulled outward by thehandgrip 12, the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 will not be driven by thehandgrip 12 to slip toward the tensile direction of the elasticpull cord body 11 from theurging body 2. Thus, the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 is not deformed by the tensile action of the elasticpull cord body 11, so that thecontraction sleeve 3 mounted around the elasticpull cord body 11 is secured to thehandgrip 12 closely, thereby preventing thehandgrip 12 from being detached from the respective distal end of the elasticpull cord body 11. - Accordingly, the elastic
inner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 is not deformed by the tensile action of the elasticpull cord body 11, so that thecontraction sleeve 3 mounted around the elasticpull cord body 11 is secured to thehandgrip 12 closely, thereby preventing thehandgrip 12 from being detached from the respective distal end of the elasticpull cord body 11. In addition, the fabricouter layer 112 of the elasticpull cord body 111 is coated around the elasticinner tube 111 to prevent the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 from being rubbed by thehandgrip 12 so as to enhance the lifetime of the elasticpull cord body 11. Further, the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 is coated by the fabricouter layer 112, so that when the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 is broken or worn out during a long-term utilization, the elasticinner tube 111 of the elasticpull cord body 11 will not spring outward accidentally so as to protect a user's safety when using the exercising elastic pull cord. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
Claims (14)
1. An exercising elastic pull cord, comprising:
an elastic pull cord body having an elastic inner tube, and a fabric outer layer coated around an outer periphery of the elastic inner tube.
2. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body has an elastic coefficient greater than that of the fabric outer layer.
3. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the elastic pull cord body has two distal ends each provided with a handgrip, an urging body, and a contraction sleeve, wherein the contraction sleeve is attached to the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body and mounted around an outer periphery of the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body.
4. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the contraction sleeve is made of a material that is contracted when being heated.
5. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the contraction sleeve has an inner wall provided with a gel layer coated around the outer periphery of the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body.
6. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 5 , wherein the outer periphery of the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body has a plurality of meshes combined with the gel layer of the contraction sleeve integrally.
7. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 6 , wherein when the gel layer of the contraction sleeve is heated to form a liquid state, the gel layer of the contraction sleeve is infiltrated into and mixed with the meshes of the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body.
8. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 6 , wherein the gel layer of the contraction sleeve and the meshes of the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body are bonded together, so that the contraction sleeve and the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body are combined integrally.
9. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 5 , wherein the gel layer of the contraction sleeve is disposed at a liquid state when being heated.
10. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 3 , wherein:
the handgrip is pivotally attached to the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body and has an end face having an inside formed with a catch flange rested on the contraction sleeve;
the urging body is attached to the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body and inserted into the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body to press the elastic pull cord body and the contraction sleeve radially outward so that the contraction sleeve has a radially outward extended stop portion rested on the catch flange of the handgrip to secure the contraction sleeve to the handgrip, thereby preventing the contraction sleeve from being detached from the handgrip.
11. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body is formed by a cylinder knitting machine.
12. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 3 , wherein when the elastic pull cord body is pulled outward by the handgrip, the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body will not driven by the handgrip to slip toward the tensile direction of the elastic pull cord body from the urging body.
13. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is not deformed by a tensile action of the elastic pull cord body, so that the contraction sleeve mounted around the elastic pull cord body is secured to the handgrip closely.
14. The exercising elastic pull cord in accordance with claim 3 , wherein the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body is coated around the elastic inner tube to prevent the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body from being rubbed by the handgrip.
