An exercising elastic pull cord includes an elastic pull cord body having an elastic inner tube, and a fabric outer layer coated around an outer periphery of the elastic inner tube. The elastic pull cord body has two distal ends each provided with a handgrip, an urging body, and a contraction sleeve. Thus, the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is not deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body, so that the contraction sleeve mounted around the elastic pull cord body is secured to the handgrip closely, thereby preventing the handgrip from being detached from the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to an exercising device, and more particularly to an exercising elastic pull cord.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A conventional exercising elastic pull cord 4 in accordance with the prior art shown in FIGS. 5-8 comprises an elastic pull cord body 41 having two distal ends each provided with a handgrip 42, an urging body 5, and a sleeve 6. The handgrip 42 has an end face having an inside formed with a catch flange 421 rested on the sleeve 6. The urging body 5 is inserted into the elastic pull cord body 41 to press the elastic pull cord body 41 and the sleeve 6 outward so that the sleeve 6 has a protruding stop portion 61 rested on the catch flange 421 of the handgrip 42 to secure the sleeve 6 to the handgrip 42, thereby preventing the sleeve 6 from being detached from the handgrip 42.
  • When the handgrip 42 is moved outward relative to the elastic pull cord body 41, the catch flange 421 of the handgrip 42 is rested on the stop portion 61 of the sleeve 6, so that the elastic pull cord body 41 is pulled outward by the handgrip 42. Thus, when the elastic pull cord body 41 is pulled outward by the handgrip 42, the elastic pull cord body 41 is driven by the handgrip 12 to slip toward the tensile direction of the elastic pull cord body 41 from the urging body 5.
  • However, the elastic pull cord body 41 is deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body 11, and the thickness of the elastic pull cord body 41 is reduced, so that the elastic pull cord body 41 is easily detached from the sleeve 6 and the handgrip 12. In addition, when the sleeve 6 is broken or worn out during a long-term utilization, the elastic pull cord body 41 is rubbed by the handgrip, thereby wearing the elastic pull cord body 41. Further, the elastic pull cord body 41 will spring outward accidentally when being broken or worn out, thereby causing danger to a user's when using the exercising elastic pull cord.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with the present invention, there is provided an exercising elastic pull cord, comprising an elastic pull cord body having an elastic inner tube, and a fabric outer layer coated around an outer periphery of the elastic inner tube.
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising elastic pull cord, wherein the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is not deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body, so that the contraction sleeve mounted around the elastic pull cord body is secured to the handgrip closely, thereby preventing the handgrip from being detached from the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body.
  • Another objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising elastic pull cord, wherein the fabric outer layer of the elastic pull cord body is coated around the elastic inner tube to prevent the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body from being rubbed by the handgrip so as to enhance the lifetime of the elastic pull cord body.
  • A further objective of the present invention is to provide an exercising elastic pull cord, wherein the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is coated by the fabric outer layer, so that when the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body is broken or worn out during a long-term utilization, the elastic inner tube of the elastic pull cord body will not spring outward accidentally so as to protect a user's safety when using the exercising elastic pull cord.

  • FIG. 7 is a perspective assembly view of the conventional exercising elastic pull cord as shown in FIG. 6; and
  • FIG. 8 is a plan cross-sectional view of the conventional exercising elastic pull cord as shown in FIG. 7.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to the drawings and initially to FIG. 1, an exercising elastic pull cord 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises an elastic pull cord body 11 having an elastic inner tube 111, and a fabric outer layer 112 coated around an outer periphery of the elastic inner tube 111. The fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11 is formed by a cylinder knitting machine. The elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 has an elastic coefficient greater than that of the fabric outer layer 112.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1-4, the elastic pull cord body 11 has two distal ends each provided with a handgrip 12, an urging body 2, and a contraction sleeve 3.
  • The handgrip 12 is pivotally attached to the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body 11 and has an end face having an inside formed with a catch flange 121 rested on the contraction sleeve 3.
  • The urging body 2 is attached to the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body 11 and inserted into the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 to press the elastic pull cord body 11 and the contraction sleeve 3 radially outward so that the contraction sleeve 3 has a radially outward extended stop portion 31 rested on the catch flange 121 of the handgrip 12 to secure the contraction sleeve 3 to the handgrip 12, thereby preventing the contraction sleeve 3 from being detached from the handgrip 12.
  • The contraction sleeve 3 is attached to the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body 11 and mounted around an outer periphery of the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11. The contraction sleeve 3 is made of a material that is contracted when being heated. The contraction sleeve 3 has an inner wall provided with a gel layer 31 coated around the outer periphery of the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11. The gel layer 31 of the contraction sleeve 3 is disposed at a liquid state when being heated. The outer periphery of the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11 has a plurality of meshes 113. When the gel layer 31 of the contraction sleeve 3 is heated to form a liquid state, the gel layer 31 of the contraction sleeve 3 is infiltrated into and mixed with the meshes 113 of the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11. After the gel layer 31 of the contraction sleeve 3 is cooled and solidified, the gel layer 31 of the contraction sleeve 3 and the meshes 113 of the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11 are bonded together, so that the contraction sleeve 3 and the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11 are combined integrally.
  • When the handgrip 12 is moved outward relative to the elastic pull cord body 11, the catch flange 121 of the handgrip 12 is rested on the stop portion 31 of the contraction sleeve 3, so that the elastic pull cord body 11 is pulled outward by the handgrip 12. At this time, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 has an elastic coefficient greater than that of the fabric outer layer 112, so that when the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 11 reaches its tensile extreme value, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 has not reached its tensile extreme value. Thus, when the elastic pull cord body 11 is pulled outward by the handgrip 12, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 will not be driven by the handgrip 12 to slip toward the tensile direction of the elastic pull cord body 11 from the urging body 2. Thus, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 is not deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body 11, so that the contraction sleeve 3 mounted around the elastic pull cord body 11 is secured to the handgrip 12 closely, thereby preventing the handgrip 12 from being detached from the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body 11.
  • Accordingly, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 is not deformed by the tensile action of the elastic pull cord body 11, so that the contraction sleeve 3 mounted around the elastic pull cord body 11 is secured to the handgrip 12 closely, thereby preventing the handgrip 12 from being detached from the respective distal end of the elastic pull cord body 11. In addition, the fabric outer layer 112 of the elastic pull cord body 111 is coated around the elastic inner tube 111 to prevent the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 from being rubbed by the handgrip 12 so as to enhance the lifetime of the elastic pull cord body 11. Further, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 is coated by the fabric outer layer 112, so that when the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 is broken or worn out during a long-term utilization, the elastic inner tube 111 of the elastic pull cord body 11 will not spring outward accidentally so as to protect a user's safety when using the exercising elastic pull cord.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
