Abstract
A bag includes a rectangular sheet having a top part with an aperture therein and a bottom part. The sheet further includes top, bottom, left and right edges. The sheet is folded lengthwise such that the bottom edge forms an opening to a pouch and the left and right edges are attached to respective left and right edges of the top part.
Description
- The invention disclosed broadly relates to the field of disposable bags, and more particularly relates to the field of disposable waste bags.
- Disposable bags are well known. However, there is a need for a disposable bag that can be hung from a protrusion in a vehicle or other structure and easily used.
- A bag includes a rectangular sheet having a top part with an aperture therein and a bottom part. The sheet further includes top, bottom, left and right edges. The sheet is folded lengthwise such that the bottom edge forms an opening to a pouch and the left and right edges are attached to respective left and right edges of the top part.
-
FIG. 1 shows a sheet to be folded to create a waste bag according an embodiment of the invention. -
FIG. 2 shows a waste bag according to an embodiment of the invention. -
FIG. 3 shows a waste bag having a slit aperture according to another embodiment of the invention. -
FIG. 4 shows a waste bag having an oval aperture according to another embodiment of the invention. -
FIG. 5 shows a waste bag having a rectangular aperture according to another embodiment of the invention. -
FIG. 6 shows a waste bag having a plurality of apertures according to another embodiment of the invention. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , there is shown asheet 100 used to make a disposable waste bag according to an embodiment of the invention. Thesheet 100 comprises a rectangular shape having atop part 102 with an aperture area A therein and abottom part 104. The sheet further comprisestop 108,bottom 110, left 112 and right 114 edges. The sheet is folded along aline 116 such that thebottom edge 110 forms an opening to a pouch and the left and right edges are attached to respective left and right edges of the top part. Different forms of attachment are described herein. Theedge 110 is left loose (unattached) so that a pouch for receiving waste or other items is formed. - Referring to
FIG. 2 , there is shown abag 200 made as discussed above. In this embodiment, thebag 200 comprises a round aperture in its top part so that the bag may be conveniently hung from a protrusion such as a door knob, stick shift lever, headrests, or other suitable items from which the bag may be hung. - According to an alternate embodiment, the
bag 200 can be made with two separate sheets. A first sheet is longer than the second sheet and includes an aperture in its top part. The second sheet is attached to the first sheet by three of its edges being connected to corresponding edges of the first sheet such that a pouch is formed on the lower part of the first sheet. -
- The bags discussed herein can be made from any suitable material such as those that have sufficient strength to hold waste items and possibly such that wetness will not cause the pouch to collapse.
