Abstract

A bath pillow is designed to attach to or be supported by a bath tub-like or wall-like structure therefore increasing or creating a reclined angle surface, in which a user can rest their upper body, deemed more comfortable for rest and relaxation. The pillow is designed to fully support and cradle the upper body. The pillow can be filled with air or water. The pillow cover is constructed of a resilient water-proof material.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to bath pillow and, more particularly, to a bath pillow which increases or creates a reclined angle, in which a user can rest their upper body, when attached to or supported by a bathtub-like or wall-like structure.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • I have not been able to find a bath pillow that gives a relaxing, fully supportive reclined angle in a bath tub which is designed with a more upright angle to be used as an upper body rest angle. If your bath tub already has a angle similar to the standard reclining angle of claw foot tub, then all you might need is a uniform flat cushion. For those of us that want to recline and relax in a bathtub not designed with such a reclined angle for a back rest, we need a pillow that will do the job for us. My bath pillow fully supports your head, neck, shoulders, upper and lower back. My bath pillow can be filled with air or water.
  • I have not found any that address this issue.
  • Some pillows don't support the entire upper torso. Fail to give the reclined angle. They actually create or increase an upright or even create an inclined angle when attached to a bathtub-like or wall-like structure. Hardly a comfortable angle for resting and relaxation in a bathtub.
  • Accordingly several advantages and objects of the present invention are:
  • A principal object of the present invention is to provide a bath pillow that will increase or create a reclining, restful, relaxing angle, when attached to or supported by a bathtub-like or wall-like structure, for a user to rest their upper body against.
  • It is intended that any other advantages and objects of the present invention that become apparent or obvious from the detailed description or illustrations contained herein are within the scope of the present invention.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention features a bath pillow specially designed that when the bath pillow is attached to or is supported by a bathtub-like or wall-like structure increases or creates a reclined angle, in which a user can lean back and rest their upper body.
  • It will also be understood that, in addition to a bath pillow, the device can be used out side of the bathtub, including in a chair, bed, couch, against a wall.
  • It is further intended that any other embodiments of the present invention that result from any changes in application or method of use or operation, method of manufacture, shape, size, or material which are not specified within the detailed written description or illustrations contained herein yet are considered apparent or obvious to one skilled in the art are within the scope of the present invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • A complete understanding of the present invention may be obtained by reference to the accompanying drawings, when considered in conjunction with the subsequent, detailed description, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a side view of a bath pillow of this invention; and
  • FIG. 2 is a rear view of a bath pillow of FIG. 1.
  • For purposes of clarity and brevity, like elements and components will bear the same designations and numbering throughout the FIGURES.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Generally speaking, the invention pertains to a bath pillow 10 which increases or creates a reclined angle 1, when attached to a bathtub-like or wall-like structure 12, for which a user can rest against, in a reclined position, thereby able to be in a more relaxed, reclined position in a bathtub-like structure or against a wall-like structure and consequently able to be more comfortably relaxed for longer periods in a bathtub-like structure or against a wall-like structure.
  • For purposes of brevity, the same elements and components will bear the same designation throughout the figures.
  • FIG. 1 is a side view of a bath pillow 10 according to the present invention, and generally comprises of a bath pillow 10 that gradually increases,in fullness and depth, from top portion 7, where one rests their upper body/torso/head region to the bottom portion 6, where one rests their lower torso/back region, thus increasing or creating a slanted or reclined angle 1, for which to rest your upper body, when attached to a bathtub-like or wall-like structure 12, creating an angle which is more comfortable and ergonomically correct for rest and relaxation in a bathtub or other situations in which a pillow is desired for resting and reclining their upper body against.
  • The bath pillow 10 has a front cover 16 and a rear cover 14 which are heat sealed together, creating a water and air tight pillow with a hollow inner core which is filled with air or water.
  • FIG. 2 illustrates a rear view of the bath pillow 10 shown in FIG. 1 and illustrates suction cups 3 attached to the rear cover 14 of bath pillow 10, via plastic welding or some other method deemed appropriate by those skilled in the art, which are used to anchor the bath pillow 10 to a bathtub-like or wall-like structure 12. The rear cover 14 of the bath pillow 10 contains an air and water tight air valve 4, which is inserted and connected to the rear cover 14 of the bath pillow 10 via plastic welding or some other method deemed appropriate by those skilled in the art, which is used to inflate and deflate the pillow 10 with air. FIG. 2 also illustrates an air and water tight water valve 5, inserted and connected to the rear cover 14 of the bath pillow 10 via plastic welding or some other method deemed appropriate by those skilled in the art, which is used to inflate and deflate the bath pillow 10 with water.
  • Since other modifications and changes varied to fit particular operating requirements and environments will be apparent to those skilled in the art, the invention is not considered limited to the example chosen for purposes of disclosure, and covers all changes and modifications which do not constitute departures from the true spirit and scope of this invention.
  • Having thus described the invention, what is desired to be protected by Letters Patent is presented in the subsequently appended claims.
