Abstract

A bag includes a sealed hollow body and water-soluble powders contained in the body for removing an oil film on a windshield of a vehicle. The body is soft and permeable. Preferably, the body is water-absorbable. Preferably, the water-soluble powders are made of an inorganic material selected from a group consisting of magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, manganese oxide, copper oxide, calcium silicate, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, iron oxide, and mixtures thereof.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a bag for cleaning an oil film. In particular, the present invention relates to a bag for cleaning an oil film on a windshield of a vehicle.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • Oily smoke contained in the air, the exhaust-gas discharged from vehicles, and the wax on the surfaces of the vehicles flow to the windshields together with the rain. Thus, an oil film is formed on the windshield of every vehicle. The oil film thickens after a period of time, leading to jumpy motion of the windshield wipers and noise. The windshield cannot be cleaned as desired, resulting in foggy, band-like, stripe-like, and bead-like marks and causing hazard in heavy rain.
  • Currently available condensed windshield detergent could not effectively remove the oil film on the windshield. Oil-removing pastes have been proposed to remove the oil film, however, the pastes are liable to deteriorate and harden and difficult to preserve. Further, the cleaning result of the pastes was found unsatisfactory.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with the present invention, a bag comprises a sealed hollow body and water-soluble powders contained in the body for removing an oil film on a windshield of a vehicle. The body is soft and permeable.
  • Preferably, the body is water-absorbable.
  • Preferably, the body is made of one of non-woven cloth, cotton cloth, and cotton sheet.
  • Preferably, the water-soluble powders are grinded inorganic powders.
  • Preferably, the water-soluble powders are made of an inorganic material selected from a group consisting of magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, manganese oxide, copper oxide, calcium silicate, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, iron oxide, and mixtures thereof.
  • Other objectives, advantages, and novel features of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description when taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a bag for cleaning an oil film in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view, partly cutaway, of the bag in accordance with the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the bag in accordance with the present invention, wherein the bag is unfolded.
  • FIG. 4 is a sectional view illustrating use of the bag.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a bag for cleaning an oil film in accordance with the present invention comprises a sealed hollow body 10 and water-soluble powders 20 contained in the body 10. The body 10 is made of a soft, permeable material that is preferably water-absorbable, such as non-woven cloth, cotton cloth, or sheet. The water-soluble powders 20 are preferably obtained by grinding an inorganic material selected from a group consisting of magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, manganese oxide, copper oxide, calcium silicate, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, iron oxide, and mixtures thereof.
  • In the embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 3, the body 10 is substantially rectangular in plane view and made of non-woven cloth. After placing the water-soluble powders 20 on a side of the body 10, the body 10 is folded along a folding edge 11 and the other edges 12, 13, and 14 are sealed by, e.g., high-temperature pressing. A disposable bag for cleaning oil film is thus obtained. The bag can be sealed in a package (not shown) that can be opened by tearing along a tear line or the like.
  • In use, the bag 10 and the water-soluble powders 20 are wetted to contain a desired amount of water. The user may wipe a windshield 30 of a vehicle with the wetted bag 10, as shown in FIG. 4, thereby removing an oil film 40 on the windshield 30. Clean water can be then used to rinse and thus clean the windshield 30. The powders 20 are inorganic, odorless, toxicfree, harmless to human body, and water-soluble, no harm would be caused to the environment and the human body.
  • The bag in accordance with the present invention may be used to clean other products, such as golf clubs, sinks, gas stoves, shower heads, dining tables, tiles, and products made of stainless steel or coated with chromium, copper, or aluminum. In a case that the oil film is relatively thick, the user may squeeze the water-soluble powders 20 out of the body 10 and clean the product with the body 10.
  • The bag is easy to carry and can be disposed after use without causing harm to the environment and human body. The oil film 40 on the windshield 30 of a vehicle can be reliably removed, preventing jumpy motion of the windshield wipers and noise.
  • Although a specific embodiment has been illustrated and described, numerous modifications and variations are still possible without departing from the essence of the invention. The scope of the invention is limited by the accompanying claims.
