Abstract

My invention is the creation and improvement of a discardable ashtray. Which is light in weight, discardable, of recyclable aluminum foil (it is up to the person to recycle the ashtray or not) and very unexpensive. Once the person is finished smoking he/she can fold it in 2 capturing inside all unwanted ashes and cigarette butts. This will ensure that no ashes will fall on the ground contaminating our environment. This material is so light and convenient that it can be taken anywhere, it fits in a person's palm, in pockets and purses. It can be used inside a car, it can be used in our patios and outside events for our friends and guests, it can be used inside our homes. Restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs can use them by offering them to their guests, specially in those states where smoking inside is not allowed anymore. I created a product to help clean the residue of smoking, before it hits the ground, we are contributing to a better and cleaner environment.

  • BACKGROUNG OF THE INVENTION
  • The field of invention is an ashtray, an object that holds ashes and cigarette butts, used by people that smoke cigarettes. Until now we have seen ashtrays that need to be cleaned in order to be re-used. Ashtrays are made of glass, plastic, metal, and other materials that are hard, washable, and re-usable.
  • The problem with these kind of ashtrays is that if a dirty ashtray is left outside, the ashes and cigarette butts will fly everywhere falling on the ground and/or water, contaminating both. If a dirty ashtray is left inside, the smell from ashes and cigarette butts contaminate the air, the clothing, furniture and other things around the home.
  • Also, because ashtrays are so inconvenient to carry around, most of the time people who smoke do not have them handy and they end-up throwing the ashes anywhere. Specially, smokers who do not want to smoke inside their cars, they litter outside their window, again contaminating our environment.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • My invention is a re-designed ashtray. The discardable ashtray is made of a very thin, recyclable aluminum foil that folds in two once the person using it wants to throw it away, capturing inside all unwanted ashes and cigarette butts. This material is light, convenient, unexpensive and recyclable.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • My invention is a re-designed, better, and improved ashtray, light in weight, recyclable and very unexpensive that gives the smoker the choice of discarding in the garbage the whole ashtray with the ashes and cigarette butts inside. By doing so, the smoker avoids littering on the groung. This will ensure the rest of the non-smoking world a better and cleaner environment.
  • The discardable ashtray is made of a very thin recyclable aluminum foil that folds in 2 (two) once the person using it wants to throw it away, capturing inside all unwanted ashes and cigarette butts. This material is so light and convenient that it can be taken anywhere, it fits in a person's palm, in pockets and purses.
  • It can be used inside a car, allowing the smoker to throw away the ashtray and its content right in a garbage can once the person arrives to his/her destination without having to worry about taking the car's ashtray, washing it, and remembering to put it back inside the car.
  • It can be used in our patios and outside events for our friends and guests, this way we do not worry about cleaning after anyone and then sweeping the floor or picking-up cigarette butts from our garden and/or public parks.
  • It can be used inside our homes, by folding the ashtray in 2, the smell stays inside with its content until it is trown away. Restaurants, hotels, bars and clubs can use them by offering them to their guests, specially in those states where smoking inside is not allowed anymore. Guests have to step outside the premises and to smoke, sometimes littering, sometimes don't. By offering them discardable ashtrays, smokers will be kind enough to clean after themselves, and other guests do not have to see, smell, or step on cigarette butts and/or ashes.
  • Although, smoking laws are getting tougher and tougher, unfortunately, people still smoke and will keep smoking. Therefore, by creating a product to help clean the residue of smoking, before it hits the ground, we are contributing to a better and cleaner environment.
