Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention relates to a burglarproof fastening for DVD container, more particularly to a burglarproof fastening for a DVD container in which a simple structure of burglarproof fastening is installed for preventing the compact disk from being stolen away by pressing the positioning structure of the DVD container. [0002]
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art [0003]
  • Since the application of compact disks is popular, many products make use of compact disks such as DVD as data storage media and the products are sold with the advantages of the compact disk. However, compact disk providers may have their compact disk stolen without even knowing it and it causes a loss in their business. Although magnetic sensors can be installed in the DVD container and the shopkeeper may notice such once the sensor at the door initiates the alarm, yet the thief is only interested in the compact disk itself, and the thief may steal the compact disk by one of the following ways: [0004]
  • 1. Firstly, press the positioning structure at the central hole of the compact disk to detach the compact disk from the positioning structure. [0005]
  • 2. Cut a slit along the notch of the DVD container which is packaged by a transparent plastic membrane outside the DVD container. [0006]
  • 3. Shake the DVD container until the compact disk inside the DVD container falls out from the notch of the DVD container and the slit of the transparent plastic membrane. [0007]
  • 4. Put the DVD container back into the original position and take away the compact disk. [0008]
  • Since the compact disk has no magnetic sensing material on it, therefore the thief can successfully take away the compact disk. The problem at this time is more serious than the theft itself because the DVD container has no DVD disk in it, and the people of the shop does not know about it. When a customer buys such compact disk, the customer generally will not notice the small slit on the transparent plastic membrane when making payment at the cashier, but as soon as the customer opens the package and discovers the compact disk is missing, the customer will definitely ask for compensation from the shop. It does not only cost damages to the business itself, but also to the reputation of the company. Such influence is more serious than the loss of monetary damage. [0009]
  • Therefore, burglarproof device or structure added to the DVD container has been seen in the published R.O.C. patents with publication numbers 418841 and 451897. However, the disclosures of such patents comprise a relatively complicated structure and components. The DVD container manufacturer must invest tremendous amount of manufacturing cost, and the DVD seller has to sell it for a higher price since the manufacturing cost is higher, and the consumers have to pay more for the compact disk. Under the high price, the thief may have higher motive to steal the disk from the store, and it causes problems to the store. Furthermore, the copying gets rampant, and if the price of the original compact disk is increased only for burglarproof purpose, it will cause more people to buy copied compact disks. It is unfair to the consumers who obey the laws, and therefore it is absolutely necessary to eliminate the foregoing viscous spiral. [0010]
  • In summation of the above situation, since the theft is difficult to prevent, and adding a burglarproof device or structure to the current DVD container will increase the cost due to the complicated structure and components, and will make it more difficult for the DVD manufacture to attain the automated manufacturing for the DVD container, thus may also affect the production. [0011]
  • From the above, it is known that the burglarproof device or structure of the prior art DVD container is obviously inconvenient and has shortcomings in its use, and it awaits improvement. The inventor of the present invention based on years of experience accumulated from the engagement in the related, industry conducted extensive research to resolve the foregoing shortcomings and invented the present invention. [0012]
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a burglarproof fastening for DVD container, in which a burglarproof fastening is installed inside the DVD container, and such burglarproof fastening has a blocking element, and the blocking section is formed on the blocking element. By means of the insertion of the blocking section into the DVD container to latch the positioning structure at the position of the central hole of the compact disk such that the positioning structure is unable to be separated from the compact disk by pressing and deforming the structure. Therefore, an unauthorized user or thief is unable to open the DVD container or take away the compact disk that is latched to the DVD container, and prevent the compact disk from being stolen by the thief by pressing the positioning structure. [0013]
  • The secondary objective of the present invention is to provide a burglarproof fastening for a DVD container in which a simple structure and design of a burglarproof fastening is used to solve the problem of production cost and capacity during manufacturing. Since the structure of the burglarproof fastening is simple, therefore the burglarproof device added to the DVD container will not increase the cost too much, and will not become a burden to the consumers. [0014]
  • To attain the above purpose, the present invention provides a burglarproof fastening for a DVD container, and the burglarproof fastening comprises a blocking element, and the blocking section is formed on the blocking element. By means of the insertion of the blocking section into the DVD container to latch the positioning structure at the position of the central hole of the compact disk such that the positioning structure is unable to be separated from the compact disk by pressing and deforming the structure, and thus attain the above-mentioned primary and secondary objectives. [0015]
  • To make it easier for our examiner to understand the objective of the invention, structure, innovative features, and performance, we use a preferred embodiment together with the attached drawings for the detailed description of the invention. [0016]
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • Other objects, features, and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following detailed description of the preferred but non-limiting embodiment. The description is made with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: [0017]
  • FIG. 1 shows a three-dimensional diagram of the present invention when it is not inserted onto the positioning structure. [0018]
  • FIG. 1A shows an enlargement of Section A of FIG. 1. [0019]
  • FIG. 2 shows a three-dimension diagram of the present invention when it is in use. [0020]
  • FIG. 3 shows the cross-sectional diagram of the present invention when it is in use. [0021]
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Please refer to FIG. 1, FIG. 2, and FIG. 3 for the three-dimensional diagram of the present invention when it is not inserted onto the positioning structure, the three-dimension diagram of the present invention when it is in use, and the cross-sectional diagram of the present invention when it is in use respectively. The present invention provides a burglarproof fastening for a DVD container, and the [0022] burglarproof fastening 1 is installed inside a DVD container 2 and is secured in position at the central hole 30 of the compact disk 3 on a positioning structure 20.
  • As shown in FIG. 1A, the [0023] burglarproof fastening 1 comprises a blocking element 10 substantially in the shape of a circular board; an notch 11 being depressed towards a section of the external periphery, and a blocking section 12 is disposed adjacent to the notch 11 on the blocking element 10; a guiding portion 13 being disposed on the side proximate to the blocking section 12 and the notch 11.
  • The size of the [0024] notch 11 is just large enough to accommodate a pressing section 21 of the positioning structure 20 to fix the burglarproof fastening 1, and the blocking section is inserted onto the positioning structure 20 such that the pressing section 21 is unable to deform by pressing due to the insertion of the blocking section 12. Furthermore, the guiding portion 13 is for pressing the pressing section 21 by means of the slope of the guiding portion 13 onto the top surface of the blocking section 12.
  • The top surface of the blocking [0025] element 10 copes together with the shape of the notch 11 and the blocking section 12 to protrude a C-shape cincture 14, and the shape of the cincture 14 is to increase the contact surface area between the burglarproof fastening 1 and the pressing section 21 in order to enhance the effect of inserting the burglarproof fastening 1 onto the positioning structure 20.
  • The burglarproof fastening for DVD containers according to the present invention can be accomplished by means of the foregoing structure and assembly. [0026]
  • Please further refer to FIG. 3. Since when the [0027] burglarproof fastening 1 is inserted onto the positioning structure 20, the blocking element 10 is held at the upper and the lower section by a plurality of fixing member 22 along the external periphery and the pressing section 21 of the positioning structure 20, and the pressing section 21 is pressed downward by external force to detach the central hole 30 of the compact disk 3 from the positioning structure 20. However, the pressing section 21 is restricted by the blocking section 12 and is unable to press downward, therefore the burglarproof fastening 1 has to be removed from the positioning structure 20 first before the compact disk 3 can be taken out. The DVD container 2 generally sold in the market is packaged by transparent plastic membrane, therefore the thief must tear the transparent plastic membrane and open the DVD container 2 in order to remove the burglarproof fastening 1 from the positioning structure 20 and take out the compact disk 3. Such movement will be easily seen by the shopkeeper, therefore the present invention definitely can prevent the thief from pressing the positioning structure 20 of the DVD container 2 to steal the compact disk 3.
  • Furthermore, since the structure of the present invention is simple and convenient, and is easy for the mass production by the manufacturer. It will not have the problem of increasing the cost too much, therefore the addition of the burglarproof fastening to the [0028] DVD container 2 will not cause a burden to the consumers, but it can effectively prevent theft, and thus is a good way to prevent theft by stores.
  • In summation of the above description, the present invention definitely improves the prior art burglarproof device or structure for DVD container or solves the problem of complicated structure or components for the assembly. It gives a good way for the burglarproof function on the thief's habit for prevention. The present invention is a product of an extraordinary innovation, and definitely can attain the expected objectives and overcome the shortcoming of the prior art. [0029]
  • While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures. [0030]
