Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a swingable exercising device, and more particularly to a household swingable exercising device that may exercise the user's two hands and abdomen.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- A conventional household exercising device in accordance with the prior art is disclosed in Taiwanese Patent Publication No. 395256. The conventional exercising device includes an elongated flat shaped elastic body having an outer portion coated with a positioning sleeve, a reinforcing sleeve and a foam body. Thus, the user's one hand may hold the mediate position of the exercising device to swing the exercising device, so that the elastic body of the exercising device may produce an elastic vibration force, there exercising the user's hand.
- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a swingable exercising device that may exercise the user's two hands and abdomen.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a swingable exercising device, wherein the counterweight may be changed, so that the user may change counterweights of different weights according to different requirements, thereby enhancing the versatility of the exercising device.
- A further objective of the present invention is to provide a swingable exercising device including a generating unit that may produce an electric power which may be supplied to the light emitting members, so that the light emitting members may light, thereby producing an amusement effect.
- In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a swingable exercising device, comprising a main body, a handle, and a counterweight, wherein:
- the main body includes an upper cover and a lower cover which are combined with each other, thereby forming a receiving space;
- the handle is pivotally mounted on the main body eccentrically, so that the main body may be rotated about the handle, the handle has two opposite sides each provided with at least one handgrip; and
- the counterweight is mounted in the receiving space of the main body eccentrically, and is located opposite to the handle.
- Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
- FIG. 1 is a partially cut-away perspective view of a swingable exercising device in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective assembly view of a swingable exercising device in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is a side plan cross-sectional view of the swingable exercising device as shown in FIG. 1; and
- FIG. 4 is a schematic top plan operational view of the swingable exercising device as shown in FIG. 1 in use.
- Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a swingable exercising device in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a
main body 10, ahandle 20, and a generatingunit 30. - The
main body 10 includes anupper cover 11 and alower cover 12 which are combined with each other. Theupper cover 11 is formed with areceiving recess 110, and thelower cover 12 is formed with areceiving recess 120, so that the receivingrecess 110 and thereceiving recess 120 may mate to form areceiving space 100 of themain body 10. - The
upper cover 11 is formed with aninsertion hole 113 for receiving abearing 14, and thelower cover 12 is formed with aninsertion hole 123 for receiving a bearing 140. - The
upper cover 11 is eccentrically formed with a protrudingseat 111, and thelower cover 12 is eccentrically formed with a protrudingseat 121. The protrudingseat 111 of theupper cover 11 is formed with areceiving chamber 1110, and the protrudingseat 121 of thelower cover 12 is formed with areceiving chamber 1210. - The generating
unit 30 is mounted between the protrudingseat 111 of theupper cover 11 and the protrudingseat 121 of thelower cover 12, and includes anannular coil 31 received in thereceiving chamber 1110 of the protrudingseat 111 of theupper cover 11 and thereceiving chamber 1210 of the protrudingseat 121 of thelower cover 12. The generatingunit 30 includes multiplelight emitting members 32 mounted on a periphery of thecoil 31 to form an electrical connection. The generatingunit 30 includes amagnetic body 33 mounted in thecoil 31. Themagnetic body 33 is formed with aninsertion hole 330. - A
counterweight 13 is eccentrically mounted in thereceiving space 100 of themain body 10, and is located opposite to the generatingunit 30. - The
handle 20 is mounted on themain body 10, and includes anupright rod 21 which is in turn extended through thebearing 14 of theupper cover 11, theinsertion hole 330 of themagnetic body 33 of the generatingunit 30, and the bearing 140 of thelower cover 12. Thehandle 20 also includes acombination portion 24 mounted on a top of theupright rod 21 of thehandle 20. Thecombination portion 24 of thehandle 20 may be connected with asupport rack 25 that may be rested on the user's abdomen as shown in FIG. 4, so as to perform an exercising effect. Thecombination portion 24 of thehandle 20 has two sides each provided with afirst handgrip 23 and asecond handgrip 22. Thefirst handgrip 23 and thesecond handgrip 22 may form different included angles. - In operation, the user's two hands may hold the
second handgrips 22 of thehandle 20 to swing themain body 10, so that themain body 10 may be rotated about theupright rod 21 of thehandle 20. Thecounterweight 13 is eccentrically mounted in thereceiving space 100 of themain body 10, and is located opposite to the generatingunit 30, so that themain body 10 may produce centrifugal forces of different directions during rotation of themain body 10. Thus, the user's two hands is subjected to forces of different directions, thereby achieving the purpose of exercising the user's two hands. Alternatively, the user's two hands may hold thefirst handgrips 23 of thehandle 20 to swing themain body 10, thereby achieving the purpose of exercising the user's two hands. - As shown in FIG. 4, the
combination portion 24 of thehandle 20 may be connected with thesupport rack 25 whose free end is rested on the user's abdomen, so that the centrifugal forces of different directions produced during rotation of themain body 10 may press the user's abdomen properly, thereby achieving the purpose of exercising the user's abdomen. - In addition, the
magnetic body 33 of the generatingunit 30 is secured on theupright rod 21 of thehandle 20, and thecoil 31 of the generatingunit 30 is secured in themain body 10. Thus, when themain body 10 is rotated, thecoil 31 of the generatingunit 30 is driven to rotate relative to themagnetic body 33 of the generatingunit 30, so that the generatingunit 30 may produce an electric power which may be supplied to thelight emitting members 32. Thus, thelight emitting members 32 may light, thereby producing an amusement effect. - Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
