- The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a three-in-one leisure chair capable of reclining, rocking, and swiveling.
- In keeping with the principle of the present invention, the foregoing objective of the present invention is attained by a leisure chair comprising a base, a supporting frame, a seat, two armrests, and a backrest. The base is provided with a pivot on which the supporting frame is rotatably mounted. The seat is disposed on the supporting frame such that the seat turns horizontally along with the supporting frame on the pivot. The seat and the backrest can be adjusted for reclining. The leisure chair of the present invention is capable of rocking, thanks to the swing arms of the supporting frame and the support arms of the armrests.
- The foregoing objective, features and functions of the leisure chair of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
- FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in combination.
- FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- FIG. 3 shows a side schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in a swiveling motion.
- FIG. 4 shows a side schematic view of the seat and the backrest of the preferred embodiment of the present invention being adjusted for reclining.
- FIG. 5 shows a side schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in a rocking motion.
- FIG. 6 shows another side schematic view of the prefe embodiment of the present invention in a rocking motion.
- As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a leisure chair embodied in the present invention comprises a
base 10, asitting structure 20, and abackrest 30. - The
base 10 comprises arotary disk 11, apivot 12 and a supportingframe 13. Therotary disk 11 has a pivoting 14. Thepivot 12 is pivotally fastened at the bottom end with the pivotingportion 14 of therotary disk 11. The supportingframe 13 is mounted on the top end of thepivot 12 such that the supportingframe 13 turns along with thepivot 12. The supportingframe 13 is provided in two opposite sides with twoswing arms 15, with each having at the free end thereof aconnection hole 16. - The
sitting structure 20 comprises aseat 21, and twoarmrests 22 which are provided with twosupport arms 23, with each having at the free end thereof apivoting hole 24 corresponding in location to theconnection hole 16 of theswing arms 15 of the supportingframe 13. Thesitting structure 20 is pivotally mounted on the supportingframe 13 such that the twoarmrests 22 are pivoted with the supportingframe 13 by a plurality ofbolts 244, which are put through thepivoting holes 24 of thesupport arms 23 and theconnection holes 16 of theswing arms 15 of the supportingframe 13. Theseat 21 is provided with aguide rail support 25. One of the twoarmrests 22 is provided with aseat support 26 which is pivoted with theguide rail support 25 in conjunction with alocation member 27 which is disposed between theguide rail support 25 and theseat support 26 for controlling the sliding motion of theseat 21. - The
seat 21 is provided in the rear end with apivoting portion 28. - The
backrest 30 is provided at the bottom end with apivoting portion 32. Thebackrest 30 is pivoted at the bottom end with the rear end of theseat 21 by a pivotingshaft 33 which is received in the pivotingportion 28 of theseat 21 and thepivoting portion 32 of thebackrest 30. Two longitudinal sides of thebackrest 30 are fastened respectively with thearmrests 22 by a fasteningbolt 31. - The locating
member 27 is formed of an action piece 271, astop piece 272, a recoveringpiece 273, and acontrol piece 274. The locatingmember 27 is not the subject matter of the present invention. - As illustrated in FIG. 3, the supporting
frame 13, thesitting structure 20, and thebackrest 30 turn together horizontally on thepivot 12 of thebase 10. - As illustrated in FIG. 4, the
seat 21 can be slid back and forth by theguide rail support 25 and theseat support 26. In light of theseat 21 being pivoted with thebackrest 30, theseat 21 and thebackrest 30 can be adjusted simultaneously for reclining. The sliding motion of theseat 21 is controlled by the locatingmember 27. - As illustrated in FIG. 5 and 6, the leisure chair of the present invention is capable of a rocking motion, thanks to the
swing arms 15 of the supportingframe 13 and thesupport arms 23 of thearmrests 22, which are exerted on by the force of a person seated on theseat 21. - The preferred embodiment of the present invention described above is to be regarded in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof. The present invention is therefore to be limited only by the scope of the following claim.
