Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention [0001]
  • The present invention relates generally to a leisure chair, and more particularly to a leisure chair which is provided with means to recline, rock, and swivel. [0002]
  • 2. Description of Related Art [0003]
  • The conventional leisure chairs include the reclining chair, the rocking chair, the swivel chair, etc. The conventional reclining chair is incapable of a rocking motion and a swiveling movement. The conventional rocking chair is not provided with means to recline and swivel. The conventional swivel chair can neither recline nor rock. In other words, none of the conventional leisure chairs is multifunctional. [0004]
  • It is therefore readily apparent that a three-in-one leisure chair capable of reclining, rocking and swiveling will certainly catch the fancy of the consumer at large. [0005]
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a three-in-one leisure chair capable of reclining, rocking, and swiveling. [0006]
  • In keeping with the principle of the present invention, the foregoing objective of the present invention is attained by a leisure chair comprising a base, a supporting frame, a seat, two armrests, and a backrest. The base is provided with a pivot on which the supporting frame is rotatably mounted. The seat is disposed on the supporting frame such that the seat turns horizontally along with the supporting frame on the pivot. The seat and the backrest can be adjusted for reclining. The leisure chair of the present invention is capable of rocking, thanks to the swing arms of the supporting frame and the support arms of the armrests. [0007]
  • The foregoing objective, features and functions of the leisure chair of the present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.[0008]
  • BRIEF DESCIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in combination. [0009]
  • FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention. [0010]
  • FIG. 3 shows a side schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in a swiveling motion. [0011]
  • FIG. 4 shows a side schematic view of the seat and the backrest of the preferred embodiment of the present invention being adjusted for reclining. [0012]
  • FIG. 5 shows a side schematic view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention in a rocking motion. [0013]
  • FIG. 6 shows another side schematic view of the prefe embodiment of the present invention in a rocking motion.[0014]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a leisure chair embodied in the present invention comprises a [0015] base 10, a sitting structure 20, and a backrest 30.
  • The [0016] base 10 comprises a rotary disk 11, a pivot 12 and a supporting frame 13. The rotary disk 11 has a pivoting 14. The pivot 12 is pivotally fastened at the bottom end with the pivoting portion 14 of the rotary disk 11. The supporting frame 13 is mounted on the top end of the pivot 12 such that the supporting frame 13 turns along with the pivot 12. The supporting frame 13 is provided in two opposite sides with two swing arms 15, with each having at the free end thereof a connection hole 16.
  • The [0017] sitting structure 20 comprises a seat 21, and two armrests 22 which are provided with two support arms 23, with each having at the free end thereof a pivoting hole 24 corresponding in location to the connection hole 16 of the swing arms 15 of the supporting frame 13. The sitting structure 20 is pivotally mounted on the supporting frame 13 such that the two armrests 22 are pivoted with the supporting frame 13 by a plurality of bolts 244, which are put through the pivoting holes 24 of the support arms 23 and the connection holes 16 of the swing arms 15 of the supporting frame 13. The seat 21 is provided with a guide rail support 25. One of the two armrests 22 is provided with a seat support 26 which is pivoted with the guide rail support 25 in conjunction with a location member 27 which is disposed between the guide rail support 25 and the seat support 26 for controlling the sliding motion of the seat 21.
  • The [0018] seat 21 is provided in the rear end with a pivoting portion 28.
  • The [0019] backrest 30 is provided at the bottom end with a pivoting portion 32. The backrest 30 is pivoted at the bottom end with the rear end of the seat 21 by a pivoting shaft 33 which is received in the pivoting portion 28 of the seat 21 and the pivoting portion 32 of the backrest 30. Two longitudinal sides of the backrest 30 are fastened respectively with the armrests 22 by a fastening bolt 31.
  • The locating [0020] member 27 is formed of an action piece 271, a stop piece 272, a recovering piece 273, and a control piece 274. The locating member 27 is not the subject matter of the present invention.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 3, the supporting [0021] frame 13, the sitting structure 20, and the backrest 30 turn together horizontally on the pivot 12 of the base 10.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 4, the [0022] seat 21 can be slid back and forth by the guide rail support 25 and the seat support 26. In light of the seat 21 being pivoted with the backrest 30, the seat 21 and the backrest 30 can be adjusted simultaneously for reclining. The sliding motion of the seat 21 is controlled by the locating member 27.
  • As illustrated in FIG. 5 and [0023] 6, the leisure chair of the present invention is capable of a rocking motion, thanks to the swing arms 15 of the supporting frame 13 and the support arms 23 of the armrests 22, which are exerted on by the force of a person seated on the seat 21.
  • The preferred embodiment of the present invention described above is to be regarded in all respects as being merely illustrative and not restrictive. Accordingly, the present invention may be embodied in other specific forms without deviating from the spirit thereof. The present invention is therefore to be limited only by the scope of the following claim. [0024]
