  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
  • Referring to FIGS. [0019] 1 to 6, the multi-functional exercise device of the present invention is illustrated. The multi-functional exercise device includes the following components.
  • A [0020] base 1 has a front section 101 and a rear section 102. The front section 101 of the base 1 has a pivotal seat 11. The pivotal seat 11 is pivotally installed with a tread rod 12. The tread rod 12 is installed with a positioning pin 121 near the pivotal place. The pivotal seat 11 has a plurality of positioning holes 111 near the positioning pin 121. The positioning pin 121 passes through the hole to buckle the tread rod 12. The pivotal seat 11 is firmly secured with a supporting frame 13. The supporting frame 13 extends backwards to being installed with a cushion 14.
  • A [0021] stand frame 2 is installed at the rear section 102 of the base 1. The end for combining the stand frame 2 and the base 1 is defined as a bottom end 201. An end of the stand frame 2 with respect to the bottom end 201 is defined as a top end 202. The section between the top end 202 and the bottom end 201 is defined as a middle section 203. A supporting frame 21 is installed between the middle section 203 and the base 1. The top end 202 of the stand frame 2 is pivotally installed with a rotary seat 3. The side of the rotary seat 3 near the stand frame 2 is pivotally installed with two rolling wheel sets 31 and 32. A side of the rotary seat 3 far away from the stand frame 2 is pivotally installed with a roller 33. The rolling wheel sets 31 and 32 have left rollers 311 and 321 and right rollers 312 and 322. The opposite sides of the left rollers 311 and 321 and the right rollers 312 and 322 have respective small sections 313, 314, 323 and 324.
  • A [0022] back pad 4 has a parallel arranged sliding track 41. The sliding track 41 passes through the place between the two rolling wheel sets 31 and 32 of the rotary seat 3 and the roller 33. The sliding track 41 is installed on the left rollers 311 and 321, right rollers 312 and 322 and small sections 313, 314, 323 and 324 so that two sides of the sliding track 41 are confined. Therefore, the back pad 4 may slide straightly with respect to the rotary seat 3. An elastic element 42 is installed between the back pad 4 and the stand frame 2. When the back pad 4 moves, a resisting force generates. The upper section and lower section of the sliding track 41 are installed with two stoppers 411 and 412, thereby, the sliding track 41 sliding linearly with respect to the rotary seat 3. Two stoppers 411 and 412 resist against the roller 33 of the rotary seat 3 for forming a confinement of the sliding track 41. In a normal condition, the stopper 411 resists against the roller 33 so that the back pad 4 is retained in a lower limit position.
  • In using, the [0023] tread rod 12 is adjusted to a preset position. Then the positioning pin 121 is buckled into the positioning hole 111. The user seats on the cushion 14. The two legs tread upon the tread rod 12 and the back resists against the back pad 14, as illustrated in FIG. 4. When the two legs apply forces to the tread rod 12. Since the tread rod 12 is fixed, a reacting force generates so that the body of the user will move rearwards. This reacting force is primarily upon the thighs of the user. In other words, the reacting force will cause the bottom of the user to resist against the back pad 4 so that the back pad 4 slides upwards with respect to the rotary seat 3, as shown in FIG. 5. In this process, the legs of the user may apply force and extend, while when the back pad 4 moves upwards through a section, and then, the user applies a force from the waist, thereby, the back of the user resisting against the upper section of the back pad 4 to push the back pad 4 and the rotary seat 3 to pivotally the rotate together, as shown in FIG. 6. Therefore, the object of moving waist is achieved. After the back pad 3 and the rotary seat 3 pivotally rotate, the body of the user can be expanded. In restoring, although the back pad 4 is restored by the elasticity of the elastic element 55, in this restoring process, the user necessary applies a force to resist against the elastic force of the elastomer 42 so that the back pad 4 may smoothly swing back and move downwards. In this process, as the user resists against the back pad 4 to slide by the bottom thereof, the waist can be straightened so that the back resists against the back pad 4 to swing. Thereby, the back pad 4 slides and pivotally rotates at the same time so as to swing. Therefore, the effect of multiple exercises are achieved.
  • In summary, in the present invention, since the top end of the [0024] stand frame 2 is pivotally installed with a rotary seat 3. The rotary seat 3 serves to be arranged with the sliding track 41 of the back pad 4 so that the back pad 4 can straightly move with respect to the rotary seat 3. When the legs of the user treads upon the tread rod 12 and seats on the cushion 14, by the force for straightening the leg, the back will move the back pad 4 to move straightly with respect to the rotary seat 3, or the back pad 4 pivotally rotates with the rotary seat 3, or the back pad 4 moves and pivotally rotates to swing so that the legs, waist and abdomen moves at the same time.
  • Of course, there are many embodiments suitable in the present invention. Referring to FIG. 7, the second embodiment of the present invention is illustrated. An [0025] elastic element 55 is illustrated between the tread rod 52 and the supporting frame 53. The pivotal seat 51 is installed with an inward protruding buckle 512, thereby, as the elastic element 55 tightly pulling the tread rod 52, the buckle 512 will stop the tread rod 52 in the preset position. When the positioning pin 521 is not buckled at any positioning hole 511, it may push the tread rod 52 to swing and the elastic element 55 will generate a resisting force to achieve the object of exercise.
  • In using, the user seats on a [0026] cushion 54, and the two legs tread upon the tread rod 52, as illustrated in FIG. 8. Two legs apply a force upon the tread rod 52 so that the tread rod 12 pivotal rotates to pull the elastic element 55, as illustrated in FIG. 9. Therefore, the object of moving the leg is achieved.
  • The present invention are thus described, it will be obvious that the same may be varied in many ways. Such variations are not to be regarded as a departure from the spirit and scope of the present invention, and all such modifications as would be obvious to one skilled in the art are intended to be included within the scope of the following claims.
