Abstract
Design of a composite luggage, comprising an upper layer soft textured bag and a lower layer hard set case to be assembled by means of a zipper assembly or equivalent sealing means, both layers being openable opposite each other, and each permitting stowage of objects such that the upper soft textured compartment, whenever not fully loaded, may automatically have its volume reduced commensurably to the voids within, and the same soft textured compartment may be unfolded further for extension to eventually form a bag fit for the stowage of a suit or garment, a retraction layer is interposable way between both the upper and the lower layers, and which may be put into effect where needed to upgrade the capacity of the luggage, overall, the luggage embodies altogether the utility features of a hard set stowage case, a soft textured baggage and of a suit stowage means as well.
Description
- (a) Field of the Invention
- Design of composite Luggage or suitcase, more specifically one structural design embodying hard set case with soft-textured bags, serving multiple functional purpose featuring that of a hard set suitcase, soft textured luggage bag and a suit compartment.
- (b) Description of the Prior Art
- Luggage or suitcase of prior art design, with emphasis placed on volumetric capacity and ease of carriage, portability, is often found inconvenient for handy carriage due to its cumbersome, bulky volume, frustrating efforts to reduce same, to make that worse, which, in an empty state or half-loaded state, is not fit for stowage in the luggage stowage space above passenger seat in the passenger cabin of an aircraft; as to a soft textured baggage suck as that illustrated in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, while its volume can be reduced relatively with ease, its supporting feature is rather deficient, and, made of soft toned substances, it will not allow for neatness or tidy-up management of fragments of or fragmentary objects, let alone stowage of suit or noble garments, fashion wear or precious trinkets, if such is stowed therein notwithstanding, what follows next is disorderliness, a mess which can bring wrinkle to same. As regards suit bag of conventional design, it serves solely for the purpose of stowage suits, or garments, restricted in partition layers as well as volumetric capacity, such a suit bag can hardly accommodate additional objects, and, when it is being carried by the hand to go from one place to another, the user will very likely find it a tiresome nuisance.
- The primary object of the invention, accordingly, is to provide design of a composite luggage which comprises a soft textured upper layer as opposed to a lower layer of hard case structure, both parts being zipped together, the soft textured bag may open opposite the hard set case to facilitate stowage of objects, with the volume of the luggage allowing for self-crinkling if the upper layer soft textured bag is not charged to full load condition, and the accommodating stowage management without necessitating unjustified spaces, while stowage of objects is possible with both the soft textured bag as well as the hard set case.
- A further object of the invention is to provide design of a composite luggage, characterized in that the soft textured bag compartment can be unfolded to make for a bag which fits for the stowage of a suit or garment, so that the invention is also good for use as a portable suit baggage.
- A further object of the invention is to provide design of a composite luggage which incorporates a multiple retraction layer between the upper layer, namely, the soft textured bag, and the lower layer, namely, the hard set case, which may be opened where needed to enlarge the stowage capacity of the luggage at large.
- A further object of the invention is to provide design of a composite luggage whereof the hard set case that is the lower layer thereof is optionally furnished with caster, retraction grip or simple grip at chosen locations thereon to facilitate carrying, handling, towing, transporting of the luggage.
- FIG. 1 is a three-dimensional perspective of a prior art soft textured luggage bag;
- FIG. 2 is a cross-section view of a soft textured luggage bag of a prior art design;
- FIG. 3 is a three-dimensional perspective of the invention;
- FIG. 4 is another three-dimensional perspective of the invention;
- FIG. 5 is a three-dimensional perspective of the invention whereof the soft textured bag is executed in full disclosure;
- FIG. 6 is a three-dimensional perspective of the invention whereof the soft textured bag and the hard set case are exposed opposite each other;
- FIG. 7 is an illustration of an insert bag incorporated adjacent to the bottom of the soft textured bag according to the invention; and,
- FIG. 8 is an illustration of a simple grip furnished to the hard set case compartment of the invention.
- As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4, in that embodiment based on the design of a composite luggage according to the invention, the main parts include a soft textured
bag 1 and ahard set case 2, whereof: - The soft textured
bag 1, mounted on the top layer of the luggage, is made from malleable, soft toned materials, with one side coupled to saidhard set case 2 by means of azipper assembly 31, the soft texturedbag 1, once made to confront vis-a-vis opposite thehard set case 2 permits opening of an independently furnishedsecond zipper assembly 32 to accommodate depositing of objects, such as is illustrated in FIG. 4 or FIG. 5, moreover, said soft texturedbag 1 may be further unfolded, what with a lateral open-upboard 11, releasable with abutton 111, to make, by extension, a bag serving to deposit therein a suit, as illustrated in FIG. 5, also, the soft texturedbag 1 may further havenon-specific pouches 12 andseveral retraction laces 13 incorporated within, which may accommodate depositing of suits or fragmentary objects and fastening same once the soft texturedbag 1 is zipped open; - The
hard set case 2, furnished on the lower layer of the luggage, is made of hardcore material or components, and with a forked retraction lacing 21 on the orifice, and whereof one side is interconnected with above-mentionedfirst zipper assembly 31 and the soft texturedbag 1, in addition, by the provision of amultiple retraction layer 22 onto the periphery in front, and having the periphery lengthened by the opening of thethird zipper assembly 33, the loading capacity of the luggage may be enlarged; - The composite luggage comprising accordingly above-mentioned soft textured
bag 1, as the upper layer, and thehard set case 2, as thelower layer 2, may be handled so that both the soft texturedbag 1 and thehard set case 2 are brought open opposite each other by the working of thefirst zipper assembly 31, to accommodate depositing of objects therein, moreover, with the upper layer soft texturedbag 1 left other than fully loaded, the overall volume of the luggage will reduce automatically to save space required for handling or disposition without prejudicing the intended purpose of both the soft textured bag and the hard set case as well. - The soft textured
bag 1 may have its bottom furnished with aload bag 14 optionally to meet specific needs, such as is shown in FIG. 6, or alternatively with a plurality ofadjacent insert bags 15 such as is shown in FIG. 7, to make available more stowage spaces. - On chosen positions on the lower layer
hard set case 2 may be optionally providedcastor 23 andretraction grips 24 which could be, for example, suchsimple grips 25 as shown in FIG. 8, to facilitate handling with and dragging, towing, transporting of the luggage. Moreover, on both sides of said soft texturedbag 1 may be fitted lug-grip 16 of a greater length to better facilitate gripping carriage of the luggage. - Understandably, the soft textured
bag 1 and thehard set case 2, including their structure and bags, pouches, insert bags or retraction lacings associated therewith, as additions or substitutes for each other and executed to the effect or for the purpose as such, shall be deemed within the scope of the invention which is solely limited by the claims following next below.
