This invention relates to brake shoes, and is illustrated as embodied in an internal expanding automobile brake. An object of the invention is to provide a simple. and inexpensive reinforced steel shoe, preferably made of steel stampingsn Various features of novelty relate to forming reinforcing plates at one end of the 'shoe to give a broadened thrust surface and to carry a-transverse pm, and to forming reinforcing plates at the other end of the shoe with a novel pivot bearing and to.
