In a time fuse for projectiles, a hollow body member having teeth formed on the interior thereof, a driving member in said body mounted for rotation relative to said body member, a plurality of weighted arms pivoted to said driving member and provided with means to engage the teeth provided in said body to lock the driving member to said body against relative rotation in at least one direction, a spring urging each arm to a position out ofengagement with said body, said arms being susceptible to the action of centrifugal force created by rotation of the projectile when fired to overcome the action of said springs and to move into locking engagement with the teeth in said body, said arms being spaced about said driving member so that when the means carried by one arm is in looking position between two teeth, the means carried by another armis approaching locking position between two other teeth.
