FRIEDRICH LIGHTENFELS, OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY.
\ IMPROVEMENT IN CHIMNEY-CAPS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 197,150, dated November 13, 1877; application filed July 19, 1877.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRIEDRICH LICHTEN- FELs, of Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Chimney-Gaps, which improvement is fully set forth in the accompanying specification and drawing, in which- Figure 1 is a longitudinal section and a sec-- is any considerable difference in the size of the chimney, I will make the caps to suit that difierence, making three or four different sizes of caps.
I use the same brackets A, made to slip into the sockets B, secured to the cap G,now made whole; and my improvement consists in making this cap whole, rather than in sections.
What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
As a new article of manufacture, the metal chimney-cap 0, having the sockets B, in combination with the supports A, substantially as and for the purpose specified.
