This invention relates to electrical fittings and deals more specifically with attachment plugs and current taps.
An object of this invention is to provide 6 a plug or current tap' of improved construction which will enable a plurality of,
branch circuits to be detachablty joined thereto and fed simultaneously rom a single power source.
Another object of this invention is to provide an lmproved attachment lug or current tap comprising few and simp e parts, which is chea to construct and which is practical and eihcient in o eration to a high degree.
Other objects of this invention will in part :be obvious and in part hereinafter pointed out.
The invention accordingly consists in the features of construction, combinations of elements, and arrangement of parts which will be exemplified in the construction hereinafter described, and of which the scope of application will be indicated in the following claims.

The sections 11 are all made in the same form of mold and any two may be placed in face to which may be inserted in the slots 22.

Each molded section 11 is prov1 ed with the cavities 12 and connecting grooves 13 which are formed to fit current carrying members 18 which lie therein, end passages 14 being provided for contact blades 25 whlch arejoined to the current carrying members 18. The outer portions of the sections 11 which contain the cavities 12 may be formed with flat outer faces and rounded ends. These gortions contain sockets 22 for recelving the lades of other plug caps G as shown in Fig. 4. The portions over the end passage 14 may be of reduced thickness and suitably formed to complete the top of the plug which carries the connecting blades.
The current carrying members 18 which extend into the sockets 22 are preferably formed from a slngle blank of suitable springy conducting sheet material. (See Fig. 6). Said blank having extensions 19 and 20 which are bent on opposite sides and folded with re: spect to the body 18 of the blank to provide spring contacts for the blades of plug ca s C 1 ples or protuberances 21 may be stamped dh the extensions 19 and 20 to cooperate with corresponding holes which may be formed on the blades of the plug caps in the well understood manner. The over-folded portions 23 ofmembers 18 which are formed by the extensions 19 and 20 and the body 18 of the blank are bent so that they lie in planes at right angles to each other and are connected at 24 with the blades 25. It should be noted here that when one of the members 18 is placed on edge in its slots 12 and groove 13, one of the extension (say 19) is folded upwardly, while the other (20) is folded down- Another blank is similarly bent and place n the other slots 12 and groove 13. he airs of overfolded portions 23 which are iametrically opposite each other are parallel and also havetheir extensions 19 or 20 bent in the same direction, that is either upwardly or downwardly.
Blades 25 are joined to the conductors 18 in any suitableinanner, as by riveting, these blades being of the usual plug cap type and d war liyi being adapted to detachably connect with a suitable current tap in the well understood manner.

This permits of four separate circuits being connected in parallel across the terminals 25. It is a parent that the attachment plug 10 may he constructcd to accommodate any desired number of plug cap 0 by simply elongating the section and providing the required slots and adding to the current carrying members.
In the littin r 110 shown in Fig. 5, I substitute the cor 30 for the terminal blades 25. This fitting is similar in construction to the plug 10 shown in Fig. 1 in all other details and is adapted for the special purpose of bein permanently connected to a portable cord an functioning as a terminal current tappin plug, to which other circuits may be ]O1Il6 as explained above.
Figs. 7 and 8 each, indicate a plug 210 and fitting 310 similar to that shown in Figs. 1 and (5, respectively, except that they are adapted to receive but two connecting plug caps instead of four. The conductors and slots in these modifications are formed in a manner similar to that described above except that the current carrying members thereof form a single air of sockets on each side of the plug or 'tting instead of a double socket.
It will thus be seen that there is provided a device in which the several objects of this invention are achieved, and which is well adapted to meet the conditions of practical use.
As various possible embodiments might be made of the above invention, and as Various changes might be made in the embodiment above set forth it is to be understood that all matter herein set forth or shown in the accompanying drawings is to be interpreted as illustrative and not in a limiting sense.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent 1. An attachment plug comprising a base, a pair of conductors carried thereby, means formed to extend from opposite edges of one of said conductors each adapted to form one terminal respectively of separate contact pairs, means similarly formed on the other of said conductors each adapted to form the other terminal respectively of said separate contact pairs, said pairs being positioned in crossed relation and adapted to connect with terminal blades inserted from opposite sides of the bases and means to connect said conductors to a source of electricity.
2. An attachment fitting comprising a base,
said conductors, each portion adapted to form one terminal respectively, of separate contact members, similar portions formed on the other of said conductors, each adapted to form the other terminal respectively of separate contact members, said members forming pairs positioned in crossed relation adapted to connect with terminal blades inserted from the opposite sides of the base.
3. An attachment fitting, a conductor therefor comprising an elongated strip, pairs of portions extending from opposite edges of said strip, each pair of oppositely extending portions forming sprmg contacts disposed at right angles to each other adapted to receive terminal blades of a plurality of plug caps inserted from each of the opposite sides of the attachment fitting.
