LQLTGAN, 9F AR"HFR CITY, TEXAS SHOPPING WAGON Application The present invention relates to a shopping wagon or like construction wherein a box or the like is mounted on a mobile supporting structure and the object of the invention is to i provide a device of this nature which is extion and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.

Referring to the drawing in detail it will be seen that the numerals 5 denote four tubular legs which merge at their upper ends into corner pieces comprising a pair of plates 6 right angularly disposed in respect to each other. The numeral 7 denotes a rectangular box, the corners of which are receivable between the plates 6 and engaged therewith by means of screws 8 or other suitable fastening elements.
One corner of the box 5 is provided with an extension 9 rising therefrom with an adjustable strap 10 across the ends thereof. A shelf 11 is provided at its corners with notches to receive lower portions of the legs 5 and to be fastened thereto by means of screws 12 or like fastening elements.
Casters 14; are mounted in the lower ends of the legs.

The device as described above is a combination shopping wagon and baby cart. It may be used by cus omers in a retail grocery store where said customers go from one part of said store to another making purchases and carrying said purchases with them. One corner of said device has an extension 9 so that a baby may be placed and held in position by the strap 10 tlureby making it possible for the mothe to select her groceries and other merchandise and to carry the child with her.
The invention is further designed to serve as a combination tea wagon and baby cart. The box of said device in which the baby rides will furnish it a safe and comfortable place for such purposes and at the same time there will be plenty of room in the box or on the shelf of said device to serve as a tea wagon or to hold the groceries or other inerchandise when used for shopping. The invention is further designed for use in a grocery store or like establishment by the merchant in distributing his grocery or merchandise from one part of the store to another and placin the same on the shelves in the desired location.
The invention is also further designed to enable said merchant to carry the merchandise or groceries and distribute the same without the necessity of stooping while loading or unloading supplies, and without the necessity of carrying said merchandise from one part of the store to another, or the merchant might use this conveyance as part of the equipment of the store for use by the patrons in such store.
It is intended that this invention might be used in drug stores, stationary stores or other retail businesses or even in wholesale houses.
It is thought that the construction, utility and advantages of this invention will now be quite apparent to those skilled in this art without a more detailed description thereof.
It is apparent that the present embodiment of the invention has been described in considerable detail merely for the purposes of exemplification since in actual practice, it attains the features Qt -advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description.
It Will be apparent that changes in the details of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to Without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new is:
1. In a device of the class described, a plurality of legs merging into corner pieces, a box having its corners in the corner pieces, means holding the box in'the corner pieces, and casters on the bottoms of the legs, a shelf across the lower portions of the legs, and means holding the shelf to the legs, said 530 box having a corner extension rising therefrom, and a strap across the ends of said extension.

A device of the class described comprising a. rectangular shaped box having an up- -Wardly extending part at one corner thereof, said part being of right angular shape with each portionthereof forming an extension of a side-of the box, a strap having its ends connected w ith the two edges of the extension 3 whereby an infant can be placed in said corner of the box With the extension forming a rest for the infants back and the strap acting to hold the infant in position, legs connected with the box, and castors in the 35 lower ends of the legs.
