A The object of my invention is to provide a' novel cleaning pad for use in the cleaning of silver and other metal objects, and for like purposes.
l attain the objects of m'y invention by the device shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure l is a perspective view of my cleaning pad;` and l0 Fig. 2 is av section on line 2- -2 of Fi 1. Like characters of reference are user? on both views.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, I provide a fabric container 1 made of a single strip of fabric, bent at 3 into U-shape and with its edged portions 4 on two sides turned in and sewed together with a line of stitchingl at 5 while the bag is turned inside out; the bag is then reversed. The bag is filled with my cleaning compound G and the line of stitching 5 is then sewed, closing 'the bag.
My cleaning compound .G comprises the following ingredients: 90% calcium carbonate, 8% sodium carbonate, 2% sodium chlorid.
What I claim is:
In a cleaning pad, a fabric container stitched together on al1 sides and containing a powdered cleaning compound comprising approximately 90% calcium carbonate, approximately 8% sodium carbonate and approximately 2% sodium chlorid.
