HENRY rmicinnor BALTIMORE, MARYLAND WA ER. :M'OTOR MACHINE v application filed Ju1 '29,
The invention relates generally toimprovementsin water motor machines, for connection with the water systems of buildings, or elsewhere, by making use of novel and pc- 5 culiar arrangements for transmitting power by the'pressure of water concentrated thru and from a jet onto a revolving rotary wheel, and particularly to improvements in machines wherein a jet of water under pressure '10 is directed tangentally against faces on the periphery of a rotary wheel, operated by a flow of water passing thru a casing containing same, for the grinding, buifing, sharpening, or other finishing, of tools, knives, blades,
' or other implements or articles of all kinds. The arrangement constitutes anew and novelmethod for securing of a strong water pressure for operation of a water motor machine of the character elsewhere described herein, and the compactsize of the machine and arrangement for attachment to an ordinary faucet or spigot or hydrant is also anew and novel method for providing an efiicient ma-- chine easily attachable'to or removable'from the connection thru which the water or other fluid that operates the apparatus is supplied. An object of the invention is to provide a machine based on the principal of water fiow-' I ing thru a casing being concentrated and compounded thru one or more jets arranged at reverse angles within or at the end of the same casing for the purpose of producing forceful and swift continuous streams of water striking and impinging at right angles from the 5 inlet jet openings the peripheral blades of a rotary impellerwheel to be propelled thereby, arranged crosswise of the casing at right angles to the flow of water into, thru and out i of the casing, in such manner as will impart maximum power to the rotary impeller wheel. I
Another object is to provide a simplified the several'views.

ing, or other finishing, of tools knives,
blades, or other implements or articles of all kinds, or other purposes.
Another object is to provide effective and simplified means for holding the machine to a faucet, spigot or hydrant. a I
Other objects will appear in the following description.
The drawing illustrates the preferred embodiment of my invention as reduced to practice but as conditions concurrent with use of the device will necessarily vary it is to be I understood that various minor changes in 15 detail of construction, proportion or arrangement of parts may be resorted to when desired without forfeiting any of'the advantages of my invention as described herein,
In the accompanying drawing Figure 1 is a front view of. one form of the device shown applied to a faucet or spigot by means of a connection collar and set screw.
Figure 2 is an enlarged longitudinal section on the line 5'5 of Figure 6 thru the 15 7 complete device. Figure 3 is the same as Figures land 5,
only it isapplied to a faucet or spigothaving internal thread.
Figure 5 is a similar view to Figure 1, except it is applied to a faucet or spigot having external threads thereon.
Figure 6 is an enlargedsection. on theline 86 6-6 of Figure 2, looking down on the device.
Figure 7 is a section of a modification of the device. i r I Figure 8 is a view looking at the end of the wheel bushing, showing how the impeller 90' wheel is hel'drigid thereto.
