In Fig. 2 the simplest form of'the invention is illustrated and the same includes a tubular cylindrical surface 31 which is rollably supported upon the shaft 2 1 through the antifriction roller constructions 32 posi a collar construction 35 similarly securedj to the shaft and of course, of'a diameter suf ficient to provide clearance between the same and the tube 31. In Fig. 3 a modified form of the invention is illustrated which differs'from that shown in Fig. 2 in two particulars, to-Wit: a tubular surface is divided transversely and in place of the inclosed roller retaining collars 4 there is provided spacing tubes. In. said figure, a plurality of short tubular surfaces 131 are each provided at each end with an antifriction roller construction 132 and axial movement thereof is limited by the washer 133 also limits axial movement of the tubular surface 131. Instead of said inclosed collars a concentric tube 135 secures the desired spaced relation between antifriction roller cages; The usual end washers and set collars may be employed. Herein the rolling sur-' face is illustrated as comprised of three sections although the number thereof may be varied as desired or required.

In Fig. 4 a still further modified form of the invention is'illustrated and in this form of the invention the rolling surfaceis shown divided transversely and includes a plurality of tubes 331 separated by the washers 333 which instead of extending inwardlyto the supporting shaft in this instance rollupon an antifriction roller construction 332 which sections 331. In this form-of the invention,
movement of the inclosed roller constructions toward and away from each other and within the tubular rolling surface is prevented by the set collars 335. Complete separation by reason of axial movement toward the ends is prevented by the usual end washers 433 and the set collars 13 1. V
I A further modified form of the invention from that shown in Fig. 4 is shown in Fig. 6 wherein the two opposed inclosed set collars are eliminated and spacing tubes 535 such as shown at 135 in Fig. 3 are substituted for the same. I
Another modification shown in Fig. 6 consists in substituting-for the said end collars another suitable .or equivalent anchorage such as" a tapered pin 534.
In the present invention it will be readily apparent that it can be quickly applied to or detached from a car door opening and except for thefthreaded connection all of the parts are permanently connected together. The threaded connection permits of the desired extensibility or-contraction in the length of the device for mounting the same in all door openings within the range of the device. The present invention eliminates the employment of rigid bracing across a car door opening such as heretofore-has been employed in the loading and unloading of freight cars, particularly with lumber. The employment of this device eliminates not only the lumher and nails heretofore required to provide such a framework but also eliminates the labor necessary to build and tear down such a supporting framework. The employment of this device in addition permits lumber to be handled with greater ease and, therefore, facilitates the expeditious loading and unloading of a car of lumber. Furthermore,
