My invention relates to' improvements in toy pistols in which a lever mounted 111 a frame resembling a pistol in appearance is employed to cast projectiles and the objects of my improvement are: first to provide a sturd and attractive frame or'su 'o'rtin member resembling a pistol in appearance; second to provide means for mounting a lever, from the arm of which projectiles may-be a manner that it rotates in a vertical plane and when depressed is concealed in the barrel of the pistol; third to provide means for rotating said lever by resilient means, through an arc of a circle and means for arresting the rotation of said lever at acertain point; fourth to provide means for holding said lever in a state of tension and releasing it at will by means of a trigger; fifth to provide sights by which the pistol may be aligned on the target.
