An essential feature of the invention con-.
sists in combining the known slide operated by hand and coupled to the driving device by a coin with a slide moving transversely? thereto by which second slide the printing oi? the ticketis eitected. The printing slide which produces the impression by impact, is for this purpose subjected to the action of a spring and is moved into the position in which the sprin stressed by the first named slide. In this position the printing slide locked by a detent, which only releases this slide after the first slide hascompleted its movement thus allowing the secondfislide to shoot forward and produce an impression on the ticket web by impact.

On this shaft is mounted a feed roll. 16 adapted to feed the web 15. Owing to the exactness oi the quarter turn of the ratchet wheel shaft 12 the web 15 will he fled a uniform distance and therefore the tickets on which the weight is printed will always he of thesame length when severed. To prevent premature or unecessary unwind- .ing ofthe web 15 meansis provided to lock the .bar 9 when moved downwards to an insui'licient extent. With thisobject in view the bar 9 is provided atits lower end with a series of teeth-99 with which a detent 17 is adapted to engage to hold the bar 9 at rest when the downward movement is interrupted. The u shaped slide 7 is connected at the lower ends of its limbs with two rods 18, the left one of which, Fig. 1, has a cam 18, Figs.
land 6, adapted to press a bifurcated brakelevcr 19 away from the type-wheel 20. This brake-lever 19 is adapted to compel the typewheel 20 to make an impression on the ticket. The type-carrier or type-wheel 20 is adjusted by the usual draw-bar connected with the two weighing springs 41 and acted upon fronrthe platform by the aid of a rack 42 and a pinion 43 mounted on the shaft of the type-wheel 20. To prevent the type-wheel when adjusted from rotating when the weighing operation is efi'ccted, it is held fast by the brake-lever 19. WVhenthe cam or wedge portion 18 of the rod 18 has released the brake lever,-its"brake block is pressed against the type wheel by a helical spring.
Below the U-shaped slide 7 on a transverse carrier'attached to the vertical frame plate is mounted a third slide 22 slidable transversely to the movement of the slide 7, Fig. 7.
Theslide 22 is acted upon by two helical springs 23"and by cams 18 'on the two rods 18,:Fig. 2; These cams whichact upon rollers 32 mounted on the printing slide 22 exercise pressure in the upper position of the slide 7 upon the printing slide 22 towards the right, Fig; 2, thus stressing the springs 23. In this position also the printing slide 22 is locked bythe spring-pressed detent 21, the lower end of whichis bent upwardly to engage an opening 22 -in the slide 22.

"Since at that time the cams 18 of the bar 18 are in their-lowest position and thus out of the way of the printing slide 22 the latter is permitted to shoot forward under the action of the springs23. A pressure piece presses the web 15 against the type-wheel which is already properly positioned, an inking ribbon being interposed between the typewheel and the web. 'At the same time as the printing slide shoots forward, a knife 25 sev- --ers the web. The ticket thus printed and s rings 27 isstruck against the web by the s ide to print the date on the web.
When the slide 7 is moved into its lowest position by the hand lever 1, it will be held in. position by the'double armed lever 28 which engages a'shoulder 7 on the slide by theend of-its'llower arm acted upon by. the spring 28, while the bent end of its other arm is in the path of an arm 29 on the shaft of the hand lever 1. When the latter is released the slide 3 at once moves upward under the action of the springs 3, allowing the coin 6 to drop down, and thereupon also moves the hand-lever further upwardly, the arm 2!) effecting rotation of the lever 28, so that it releases the slide 7. The slide 7 is then also moved upwardly by the two springs 30 and the cams 18" of the two rods 18 effect the return movement of the printing slide 22. At the commencement of the upward movement of the slide 7 the detent 21 is released and permitted to be drawn upwardly by its spring 21 and engages with its upwardly bent end the opening 22 of the printing slide 22. Since the detent 17 is mounted on the printing slide 22 it is brought back into the range of the teeth of the bar 9, thus again rendering idle any incomplete movements of the bar 9.
On the return movement of the printing slide a pawl 31 effects the forward movement of the two inking ribbons.
I claim 1. In a weighing machine of the type having provision for giving out weight-indicating tickets and incorporating a springpressed slide or the like operated by a handlever and an inserted coin, in combination, a spring-pressed printing slide adapted to move transversely to the first-named slide, a slidable bar having a cam surface arranged to move the printing slide into cocked position when operated upon by the first-named slide, and a detent adapted to hold the printing slide in said cocked position and to release the printing slide at the end of the movement of the first named slide, thus permitting the printing slide to shoot forward and to effect the impression.
' 2. A weighing machine according to claim 1, characterized in thatthe print-ing slide is provided with a pressure head arranged to strike laterally against the typo-carrier when the printing slide shoots forwardly and to press the type-carrier against a web to effect an impression.

A weighing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the printing slide is provided with a pressure head, a type-carrier adapted to be adjusted to the weight, the said pressure head being arranged to strike laterally against the type ca-rricr on the printing slide shoot-ing forwardly and to press the type-carrier against a web to effect an im.- pression, and a knife arranged above the printing point and adapted to sever the web when the printing slide shoots forward.

A weighing machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the printing slide is provided with a ressure head, a type-carrier adapted to be adplsted to the weight. the said pressure head being arranged to strike latcrally against the type-carrier when the printing slide shoots forward and to press the type-carrier against a Web to effect an impression, a date stamp adapted to approach the web when the printing slide shoots forward an d a hammer adapted to strike against said date. stamp.
5). A weighing machine according to claim 1 comprising a bar having locking teeth by which the bar is arrested it the forwardly moving slide is moved to an insufficient de gree.
A weighing machine according to claim 1, comprising a hand lever and a detent lever, the latter adapted to hold the first named slide when moved to its end position and to be moved into its normal position by the hand lever on its return movement, in such manner that the slide is released.
7. A weighing machine according to claim 1, characterized by a bar carried by a slide, a nd a brake lever normally held in operative position by said bar, and adapted, on being released from said bar by the slide moving forwardly, to bear against the type-carrier to hold it against movement.

A weighing machine according to claim 1, comprising a feed roll, a ratchet wheel, a notched disk, a shaft on. which said feed roll, said ratchet Wheel and said disk are mounted, a slide-bar a spring pressed locking bar, guides for said slide-bar and said locking; bar the slide-bar being movable downwardly by the first named slide, a crank and a pawl adapted to engage said ratchet wheel by the aid of said crank to effect partial rotation of the said feed roll when the locking bar positioned above the disk released by the movement of the fil'SlJ-DZUIIIGCl slide, so that said locking bar being spring pressed engages a notch in the disk and limits the predetermined partial rotation of the feed roll.
